5536886 tn?1455827346 What stage of pregnancy will you be in during the upcoming holidays? What kind of challenges are you dealing with that might be complicated by the holiday festivities?
5913031 tn?1382391190 Definitely agree I'll be 35 weeks tomorrow and it just flew by.
6811971 tn?1385557755 It can be a challenge for me, even after five years of sobriety. Where I am, alcohol is a huge part of the socializing during the holidays. Even people who do not normally drink, will raise a glass during this time. So I continue to socialize with my glass of pop or juice. When going to parties or social gatherings, I will make sure to take along my fave non-alcoholic beverage just in case alcohol is only available. I have my supports in place just in case.
Avatar f tn zantac is the only thing that helps me. I take it when it gets bad, and the heartburn goes away completely. Its safe for pregnancy too.
Avatar m tn You all are so wonderful, thank you for being here. I think the Holidays are the hardest, I am more emotional during these times. I hope everyone has a Wonderful Thanksgiving!
Avatar f tn 36+5 and just feel really fed up :( can't sleep at night so that makes me grouchy during the day, I hate the heartburn and my fat hands and fingers are getting me down too.
1293887 tn?1332702847 m having heartburn like CRAZY! the weirdest things will give me heartburn. I was eating a salad a few nights ago & all of a sudden had massive heartburn. And I'm also having a lot of issues when I burp, some stuff comes up (gross I know, but it happens so often now!).
Avatar f tn o grandmother (Mom-mom). I have my parents, three sisters and a nephew who all live in NJ. The holidays are always a fight with my inlaws. My family has graciously agreed for us to be down here for Thanksgiving every year because of Mom-mom, and we drive up that night and celebrate on Black Friday. We also always spend Easter down here, and I have only had one Mothers Day in NJ, back in 2006.
Avatar n tn t seem to take much to cause the problem. Also the heartburn started around the holidays last year and there was quite a bit of chocolate consumed on a daily basis which I think compounded the problem since it contains caffeine. I've since stopped all caffeine and chocolate (sigh...) and have had zero heartburn. Other things anyone with these symptoms might want to keep in mind-- We also did a major house cleaning to remove any possibility that dust in the house was causing the problem.
6063300 tn?1430430571 The one thing we all need to remember during the holidays is to NOT overwhelm our brains. Take some time each day for just you. Write your list down of the things that need done and then go thru and prioritize them. This does actually help. We are not superhumans!
Avatar n tn Sometimes I could feel the warm acid in my stomach. Sometimes I was waking up from the heartburn during the night. I could many times taste the acid in my mouth in the mornings. Sometimes I used to salivate excessively. A few rare days I was surviving with little heartburn, but those are the lucky days when I had very little food intake, but on those days I suffered from trapped gas. Other infrequent symptoms on bad days were coughing and a bit of regurgitation.
Avatar m tn For example, during holidays, i have to eat breakfast at the routine timings which are very early, but if i wake up late in the morning for two or three days, the fourth or fifth day, i will get diarrhea. Also i am very gassy in the morning which has also become a social problem for me. I hesitate in standing in a company of one or two people. Apart from all of this, i also feel very acidic in my stomach sometimes, usually one night before diarrhea.
495284 tn?1333894042 I would like to add that for me I find I am aware and alert of dangers during the build up to and during Christmas and so I stay away from party's where drink is available, nothing for me here is how I look at these party's....
Avatar f tn Hi Lisa, my sister who is a doctor actually called me yesterday and cried. She is still struggling with my mother's death after 2 yrs. There is no way around it. My mother's birthday is next Wednesday and it's another year without the woman who gave birth to me and her birthday is Thanksgiving. It's still difficult, but our family is going to get together, take her flowers for her birthday and Thanksgiving and we have so much to be thankful with a new baby in the family.
Avatar f tn You ladies are the best!! I will definitely ask when I go back. The holidays have messed my next appointment up so instead of me waiting 2 weeks I have to wait almost 3 this time.
Avatar f tn t get the pills on the holidays and also ,regarding the Holiday season, Just do what I do and Half -*** it .Noone will probably know the difference .Their happiness is probably coming from their love of the holiday season more than it is coming from what You buy or cook for them anyway . 495284 tn?1333894042 We sometimes see relapses happen during this time. The first year i was clean i was told by a very wise person to hit the meetings real heavy and that is what i did. There are office parties and family gatherings.....our minds can play some real games with us during this time. For some of us money is tight and that causes stress or the family gatherings have alcohol and people will make comments to you about not drinking.
Avatar f tn I keep hot everything around cause I crave it all the time! And in the beginning it helped with my heartburn! The capson in it really helps with the acid.
2030273 tn?1329708650 I have awful heartburn and acid reflux. I usually take some tums with a little bit of milk and make sure I sit up afterwards. I have severe nausea too and the heartburn always makes me get sick again. It's common in pregnancy... but I know how bad it *****!
