heartburn during sleep

I have this horrible sore throat caused by heartburn. I was wondering wat kind of medicines would ya use for a sore throat. Also is a little nyquil safe to drink at night for sleep.

I am 32 weeks have had heartburn my whole pregnancynothing is helping right now and now it is waking me up and can't sleep at night I'm so tired during the day I can't seem to get going any suggestions

Made sure iv been buisy the last couple of days but nope still cant sleep. During the day i can sleep for hours if i want, no probs. Its like insomnia. Il get really tired at about 5-6ish in the evening but i have a 5 yr old to tend to.

Thanks ladies! I was on Pepcid 20mg but ran out so I took Zantac 300mg and is doing the trick!! Thank God I may sleep tonight.

Are you having bad heartburn the only time that has happened to me if if I have heartburn but I would mention this to your midwife doc etc because so far your lucky having woken up n not chocking on it

I have never had heartburn in my entire life until now I'm 24 weeks pregnant and seems like everything I eat gives me heartburn what can I take to relieve it?

You can find it at walmart with the zantec it is completely safe during pregnancy ive had to take it with both of mine.

I've tried all that I can to get rid of this nasty symptom. Tums antacids are the only things that help. Unfortunately, I've already taken the recommended amount for 24 hours. Now, I have got to get some sleep... however, that's not possible when I can't lay down without feeling like I've just swallowed fire. Any suggestions, ladies?

I have tried tums and maloxx nothing has helped. I go back to the dr Friday. Even sleeping I get heartburn and I sleep proprietary up. I feel like vomiting it is so bad. I also have been getting pressure in my pelvic area. I also get like lower back spasms but if I change positions it goes away.

I'm 6 weeks with my first too and I'm having the same things the doctor said I can take tums for heartburn. My doctor also said if I can try sleeping sitting up cause it will help with the pain. So yes everything you're feeling is normal.

I always drink milk for heartburn it helps me. You can always ask your dr for some meds.

I hope everything gets better for you. Just try to sleep enough during the day and before bed have a little snack and a warm bath and see if that'll help.

i had HORRIBLE heartburn and would take tums like they were candy thru the night. well they say women who have a lot of heartburn during pregnancy have children with a lot of hair.....

I can't sleep either. No heartburn though thank god I had that so bad my first trimester. I've been wide awake since 2:30 it's 5 o clock now.. it calls for a very long day!! I'm due on Saturday the 22nd and the days are literally creeping by!

Hello I'm currently 36 wks pregnant and I notice during the day but most at night during my sleep I spit up stomach acid! It's so gross and irritating. I don't eat heavy nor do I eat before bed to cause any discomfort. I don't know if it's just another pregnancy symptom? Heartburn feels a lot worse though.

I'm 38 weeks and have had that problem since 37 weeks. All I want to do is sleep. I can't sleep during the night well, but during the day seems a little easier, except when I need to pee and I have heartburn.

Having milk helps..try yogurt too !
