396332 tn?1320003615 Chronic acid reflux leads to uncomplicated GERD, but not everyone with GERD has heartburn. The primary symptoms of GERD are heartburn, regurgitation, and nausea. Heartburn usually is described as a burning pain in the middle of the chest. It may start high in the abdomen or may extend up into the neck. Sometimes the pain may be sharp or pressure-like, rather than burning. Such pain can mimic heart pain (angina). In other patients, the pain may extend to the back.
6903444 tn?1385943346 With my fIrst I had zero heartburn & he had a head full of thick pretty black hair. With my last I had heartburn sooooo bad I puked daily because the v reflux was so bad. Strong prescription from my DR didn't even stop it lol he came out bald as hell. And was until he turned one. This time my heartburn is just as bad & im praying my baby boy has at least some hair. Idk if the wives tale is true but it wasn't for me, but is for most people.

993545 tn?1249456679 and it does say that the medication (buspar) im on can cause heartburn but it burns on the right side and its not constant just kind of random pain. Is it jus my anxiety freakin me out or is it heartburn.. or is it something else i need to worry about?
1197637 tn?1331558833 It is normal - Our stomach and intestines are also processing food a lot slower, thus contributing to a lot of gas and heartburn. I'm sure these are causing some of the pressure you are experiencing. Also, the gallbladder is located under the right rib cage. If you develop very severe sharp pains under the right rib cage (especially after eating a fatty meal), you may have gallstones (much more common in pregnant women).
Avatar f tn com/health/gallbladder-removal-diet#foods-to-eat I have read that peanut butter causes gas and that is part of the pain and discomfort. ?? Not sure though. I found a low sugar, natural peanut butter that works for me okay.
Avatar n tn One of the causes of globus is GERD. Since you had heartburn also, the most likely cause of globus in you is GERD. Take PPI like Prilosec for 4-8 weeks for relief.
Avatar f tn I am ftm @ 15wks 3 days with twins. I have severe heartburn. Anything I eat or drink causes heartburn. I haven't ate since 6pm this evening and its now 1152 pm and my heartburn will not let me go to sleep. Do any of you suffer from this and what is recommended.
Avatar f tn Most of the time acid/heartburn is from the foods you eat plus baby pushes everything up and it causes it too I had heartburn every single day from 5 months till I had my daughter she had a head full of thick long black hair but doesn't mean it's true

955560 tn?1250194545 Can I also point at that you said it's nothing major that you feel the pain isn't strong that can be acid reflux. It can also occur in the throat. Am not saying you this, but pain in middle of chest is commonly known for heartburn if you don't have any heart problems, which in this case you don't because you had an ekg test. Heartburn happens to many people, it's not seen as something that is medical, unless you get it all the time.
11306955 tn?1417053458 can anyone tell me if heartburn can cause palpitation, sweating, anxiety and dizzy spell? please =( i'm so afraid and tired of this condition.
Avatar f tn Does having a lot of heartburn mean my baby will be born with a head full of hair?

Avatar f tn I'm currently 27weeks+4days and I'm having really bad heartburn. I feel like the acid in my stomach is in my throat. Did any of you ladies experience this? And whatdo you do to make it better?
6765322 tn?1395814235 Milk and Tums work for me - especially the milk. The dairy coats the inside of your esophagus and creates a "barrier" of sorts between your esophagus and the stomach acid that causes heartburn. It doesn't work for everyone, but its worth a shot...
Avatar f tn One study reported 20 to 43% incidence of heartburn in patients with head and neck symptoms. Also, acid reflux can mimic a heart attack so yes your symptoms could be due to acid reflux issues. My mother suffered severely from Gastric Esophageal Reflux Disease (GERD) and Laryngopharyngeal Reflux (LPR) for 5 years. She now suffers neither.
378497 tn?1232143585 There are pains I consistently have, and I'm wondering what causes them. They are kind of aching, stiff-like pains: One goes up the back of my right leg to about my calf, and the other goes up my right leg just to the right of my shin, again about mid-calf. I also feel like there is tightening there. Sometimes, I get pain across the sole of my foot, too. But it's mostly that lower calf area. I don't think it's neuropathic...
Avatar m tn I went to naturopathy and changed my nutrition as I could in the army (I served in special forces), and after a period of time, it did help. I had better and less mucus, but everytime I ate little outside of the menu everything was same and now almost every product I consume causes these symptoms even breathing difficulties. It seems that every year there's another product on the list that I cannot eat ( like allergic reactions ) Until today my nutritional variety is very low.
Avatar f tn I know it has alot of vitamin c in them and the acid causes heartburn but those effect me can me eating so many of them harm the baby?
Avatar f tn I agree - I though of the iron content right away... Also remember OTC vits are tough... They are not buffered and they are packed with filler byproducts... Get off those - Best form of supplementation is liquid or even a citrate form. Don't by junk vits - they host gut rot b/c the fillers stick and don't release. Iron is very hard - and the stomach lining is very sensitive to this mineral.
Avatar n tn There are a number of causes such as gastritis, acid refulx, or peptic ulcer disease that can cause gassy chest discomfort. However, if you are having other symptoms associated with this (arm pain, jaw pain, shortness of breath, nausea, sweating), you should seek further evaluation by a licensed physician who can perform a throughou history and physical examination to ensure your symptoms are not being caused by another condition (heart, lungs, etc.).
Avatar f tn I know anxiety impacts our stomachs and digestive tracts, but not sure it causes heartburn. Have you tried things like Tums to help with the heart burn? Have you addressed this with your doctor? You truly need to "accept" that your heart is fine. I know it's hard to do this, but this constant worry and fear is fueling your anxiety and keeping it going strong. Heartburn is easily treated, you should see your doctor regarding this, and for peace of mind. Take care.
Avatar n tn Try not to eat before you sleep or lie down. Don't get over full. Your stomach is being pushed so high up so the room for food is quite small. I'd say a hot cup of tea ( caffeine free of course) with your meal. But try to drink after you finish eating. Sometimes if you eat and drink the food gets elevated but you don't get full so it causes your stomach to over fill. Go for a walk after you eat to help your food digest a but quicker.
