I am a white 34 year old female, non-smoker/never smoked a day in my life, and rarely drink. I went to the ER Friday evening/Saturday morning because I had chest, arm, and back pain. They drew blood, did an ekg, and an xray. They came back normal, and diagnosed me with GERD and torn muscles in my upper back, and muscle strain in my elbows. I believe I've had GERD for most or all of my life, but without the heartburn. I never realized what I had.

Oh my gosh!! It just wont let up. This whole pregnancy I've had the worst heartburn. Before I was pregnant I never ever had it. But its so bad that its waking me up in the morning. Anybody else dealing with the same thing??

For the past few days I have been feeling very nauseous after eating, sometimes with heartburn and sometimes without heartburn. What scares me is that a few years ago I had experience some blood on my toilet paper, sometimes it was a decent amount. I am also lactose intolerant. After switching to a plant based diet i haven't seen any blood, it's been about 2 years.

It could i guess be throat cancer But it could also be the heartburn from acid reflux due to the hernia..I go to doc tommorrow. But I cant stop obsessing..and to make matters worse--I dont have insurance..cant afford it because my husband makes too much money---yep;;the good old government wants me to pay 800./month...Im goin to dr for 80. dollars--endo may cost up to 10,000. but so would my deductables..so whatever. But this is causing more anxiety..I keep thinking its cancer..

I keep havin heartburn everyday for the last year; i take atums and it gets rid of it. But i'm wondering what could cause it because i get it everyday regardless of what i eat.

Hi. I am concerned about stomach cancer. I have suffered from heartburn/indigestion for some months. I am 42 and female. Is it unusual at my age? I had a ct that found 2 small lung nodules and a sclerotic bone lesion in my spine which is probably a bone island according to ct report. The nodules are beeing followed up but not the lesion. Is mets to bone and lungs a possibility with stomach cancer?

I was sick for Two weeks before diagnosed . One evening I got horrible heartburn and now again last night after eating a few crackers. I am on my 6 th day of the prev Pac. Hi Dr, I'm a 33 year old female who is healthy, exercises 6 days per week and eats well and have no known health issues or risk factors. I've had severe heartburn issues every since I was 14. I had an endoscopy when I was 16 and the doctors found nothing, so the prescribed me a rather high dose of Pantoprazole, which I had taken until I was 18. While GERD is not curable, per se, there are a lot of things you can do to cope with the condition. Most importantly, adhering to a GERD diet (you can find examples on the web), losing weight, lowering stress levels, laughing a lot, eating more low-fat proteins, and exercising will all help control the condition, in essence (though not in fact) making it "go away".

I stopped taking them in late June because it was making me tired, and I had a really nasty bout of acid reflux and sweating one night, and other digestive issues. The heartburn went away for a few weeks, but then came back with a vengeance and wreaked havoc on my life for the next couple of months. I have had no other symptoms other than the bleeding which I keep reading is not a common symptom of ovarian cancer although I have been constipated somewhat. Heartburn I have and have always had and I have read that if over the counter rolaids work than that is a good sign. When ever I have heartburn and take them it goes away quickly. I have always always had heartburn. Please help me with this I am so scared. How much does a tech really know about what they see?

Most cyst are benign. With the size, I assume they are suggesting surgery? Have you had a CA125 test? We always suggest to have a gyn/oncologist review your case, and if surgery is done, that this type of doctor perform this. Best wishes to you.

Ive been having so much trouble with heartburn, vomitting, contractions, a lot of stuff. The dr in this tiny town just kept saying "it will get better". Which it did not but at the dr today, he ordered heartburn medicine, & zofran & ordered a ultrasound of my gallbladder for tomorrow am.

Operation was 16 months ago and recently I've been experiencing severe cramps in bladder area. So bad it hurts to sit, walk lie down etc. Doctor said it could be a kidney stone but X-ray doesn't show any. Asked about cancer since I get heartburn almost every day, but PSA comes up as 0.01 so I'm told I have no cancer. Doctor then states it's due to reconstruction, but why after 16 months would this now occur?

You also used to have a habit that is known to dull (burn) the nerves, cause damage to your throat, and cause heartburn, and now that your throat is healing, you feel the heartburn. n 1 thing i forgot to mention was the heartburn... really bad heartburn which is weird for me cause before these last 2 months i only had heartburn maybe 5 times in my life. it prob is jus a fluke about the spotting my cycles are average 35 days but have been anywhere from 27 to 47 days, but they were always my regular heavy period. thanks for the advice!! im prob jus overreacting....

For about the last four weeks, I've had heartburn/reflux (real reflux, too) pretty much every single night. I almost never have had heartburn (unless in late pregnancy), and now, I'm waking up every night, reaching for the Zantac. I can't really take it pre-emptively right before bed because it might interfere with my BCP. Anyone had a problem like this? I don't take in much caffeine, this doesn't appear to be food related in any way.
