heartburn and nausea during pregnancy

I have awful heartburn and acid reflux. I usually take some tums with a little bit of milk and make sure I sit up afterwards. I have severe nausea too and the heartburn always makes me get sick again. It's common in pregnancy... but I know how bad it *****!

Heartburn and indigestion defiantly

This second pregnancy has been hell all eight months so far and the ninth is looking just as bleek, have been full of periods throughout the day and evening of nausea and heartburn, luckily no vomiting though. Unfortunately i havent found anything to help with mine. If you dont have it all to often you can try emetrol, its over the counter, tastes alright and is ok to take during pregnancy.

I used tums for heartburn (doc said they're safe) and sea bands for nausea. I tried ginger for the nausea but it aggravated my heartburn. The sea bands I thought, for sure, we're some kind of hoax, but they worked for me! I hear they work for around 70% of people. I wasn't cured, but it took enough of the edge off the nausea that I could finally eat something.

You can safely take Dramamine during pregnancy. It doesn't hurt the pregnancy at all and it's an OTC drug. it'll help with the nausea. ALso, if tums dont work for heart burn, then you need to look into Zantac or preferably the generic brand Ranatadine. it's about 1/4 the price. Try these two and a cup of warm tea and see how that helps.!

I feel your pain! During my first trimester I was miserable! The gas was horrid! Thankfully my husband is very supportive and would comfort me and help me find ways to deal with it all. Unfortunately, I found no way to cope. I just had to ride it out. Try an antiacid that doubles as a calcium supplement. That really helped with the heartburn. I'm 24 weeks now and still dealing with gas and heartburn but it is not near as bad as it was. Hang in there mama!

yesterday i had bad diarrhea but it stopped by itself , when i woke up this morning i wokeup with a runny nose and all other symptoms of common cold.. in addition to sever heartburn.. i only took panadol for the cold but it didn't work, i need some cold medication safe during pregnancy as well as something for the heartburn..

27 week peeing a lottt and heart burn and sweeling

After I started to take this medicine, my Nausea disapeared during the mornings but it would come during the day and most of the time go away during the night. My Nausea is generaly mild but within those last 2 months, it came twice or 3 times severe but I never threw up until now.

m having headaches, very little heartburn, and pretty bad nausea, and no sore boobs. It is completely different. We dont know the sex yet though. Fingers crossed for a boy!

Hi I'm 21 and I'm 6 weeks with my first :) I had painful cramping on my 3rd to 4th weeks. It was scary! Try to rest a lot lay down and drink lots of water! It will make you feel better (: try eating healthy stuff like fruits salads good healthy stuff for the baby. Don't forget your prenatal vitamins!

Think that is common that you go a bit more as you near labor. And as mentioned, had a lot of nausea and heartburn in my third trimester and in particular the last month. You have a long way to go still. And this was an 'episode'. So, just monitor it. If you get anything like severe back pain, then worry more or if you start to cramp. But I think you are probably fine and baby is safe and snug.

Tylenol is the only pain reliever that is safe during pregnancy. Heating pad for the backache...or rest. I'm 18+7 and today I'm feeling like complete poo.

I will swallow a couple times though, and then it is gone. Anyone experience this as well during early pregnancy?

The chances of conceiving are maximum if you have sex during ovulation. Heartburn and nausea can be early symptoms of pregnancy. My understanding is that Prilosec had not been assigned a category for pregnancy by the FDA because its effects during pregnancy are unknown. Not taking the Prilosec until you have spoken about this with your doctor on Thursday as a wise idea - in the meantime, you can take tums (or a generic equivalent) to help w/ the heartburn. I hope you feel a little better soon.

m currently 20 weeks and have nausea spells once in a while but not half as bad as in the begining! Good luck!
