Avatar m tn ve thrown up on two occasions in the morning a very bitter green liquid. The last 2 weeks, the heartburn has mostly gone away and I do have an appetite, but now I have really bad nausea right when I wake up and it lasts the entire day (just not as bad as when I first wake up). I've also had looser stools than normal on some days after this started. I've had shingles so I don't know if the dull/burning pain on my right side right under my rib cage is from that or something else.
Avatar f tn I ended up having severe gallbladder stones and had my gallbladder removed the next day. But I had heartburn in all my pregnancies even this current pregnancy (without my gallbladder), so it's common and will ease up eventually after giving birth.
Avatar f tn and high blood pressure. The high blood pressure and vomiting went away shortly after the baby was born and my gallbladder was removed. Ever since, I have had chronic dairrhea and constipation. Both with flip flop, but I seem to never be regular. The heart burn continues, but is less frequent (maybe twice a week). My stomach has always been a little funny, but lately the cramps, diarrhea, constipation, and heartburn are driving me insane. Do you have any idea what this may be?
Avatar f tn I'm six weeks-in and having bad heartburn. Any advice on how to get rid of the burn.
936197 tn?1268663065 I used to get terrible attacks and the doctors kept attributing them to acid reflux or heartburn, which I never have had. I would be keeled over lying on the bathroom floor feeling like I was dying. (like I had food poisoning). Anyways, fatty foods can trigger an attack so try to avoid them. I hope you do not have any more attacks during your pregnancy! The surgery I had was called laproscopic & had an excellent surgeon.
Avatar m tn I was recently diagnosed with a lazy gallbladder. My doctor's suggested taking it out, although I don't (yet) have stones. (Gallbladder issues run in my family.) I was also diagnosed with GERD and LPRD. I've been treating it with PPI's and while most of the heartburn and stomach pain is gone, the pain in the throat and the clicking have gotten worse.
Avatar f tn Thanks for your help and informtion. I am glad to hear that hopefully we are getting to the bottom of my problems. Right now life is miserable. I hate even going out to eat with anyone b/c the pain is sometimes excruciating.
Avatar m tn Hello, I am a young 22 year old male with a history of upper right quadrant pain, heartburn/GERD, chest and back pain for over a year. I was completely healthy until a alcohol binge on my 21st birthday (which I neither planned for or am proud about). I immediately had upper right quadrant dull but significant pain for a few hours. Within the next few weeks and months, all of my current problems began popping up one after another.
Avatar f tn I had my gallbladder removed in December of last year. Now recently I've had heartburn for the first time in my life. Prior to the GB removal I never had any symptoms of acid reflux. Took Prilosec for 2 weeks and then Nexium for a month but I believe I was experiencing some side effects from the PPIs. When I went to a gastroenterologist last week I had been feeling a little better after stopping the Nexium. So we decided to wait a week and see how it went.
Avatar n tn I had lots and lots of tests starting in 1999 and they did not find out Gallbladder until a friend suggested it, and I took that info to them, even then the doctors still did not think Gallbladder until it was removed and the pathology report proved Chronic Gallbladder inflammation and gallstones.

Avatar n tn I believe I have this as well - ever since my gallbladder being removed, peanuts do not digest and give me chestpain/heartburn/indigestion with in minutes!
Avatar m tn I do NOT have gallstones best they can tell and do not have hurtful gallbladder pain, but HIDA Scan confirmed a very low functioning gallbladder (7%). I do have digestive issues from time to time, sleep interruptions, fatigue and vitamin absorption issues, but a multi-vitamin such as Centrum was apparently able to take care of the problem. Now all of my Doctors/Surgeons tell me to remove the gallbladder, except one who says only take it out if the pain is unbearable. A ratio of 3:1.
Avatar n tn I have disease and gallstones and, yes, I get exactly what you describe and as a sidenote, same thing happens about 15mins before kidney stone activity.
Avatar n tn I just had my gallbladder out four weeks ago after a month of trying to figure out what was wrong with me. I had several attacks and lots of heartburn and began to take a ppi which seemed to help. I have still had heartburn after and also have mild colitis. Today my colitis is feeling better (not much bloating at all) but the last two days I have had constant heartburn.
Avatar f tn In that case something like Domperidone or Reglan might help. you. But first and foremost, start with the gallbladder exams and go from there. If you don't think your GI doctor is doing well enough in tracking down what's going on, find a new one. Keep doing so 'til you find someone you're happy with.
Avatar n tn A follow-up HIDA scan however, showed very low functioning of my gallbladder. The doctors concluded that it was my gallbladder that had been the cause of the pain and other symptoms. In the past 4 years since this, I have never again had an attack like that, however I often have bouts of discomfort in my upper abdomen that will last for a few hours to a few days at a time. Usually months go by in between these times.
Avatar f tn I actually got online to try and find out why it has started this and found your question. My gallbladder has been out for 40 years and the indigestion just started a couple years ago.
Avatar f tn Hi I have just found out my gallbladder is functioning at 18 percent, dr recommends removing it, I am scared but I have alot of pain, and heartburn, and indigestion, any advice and is 18 percent to low,
10253567 tn?1408830524 Yes Mylanta or the generic kind of heartburn stuff in the bottle, and I used the generic kind from target and I found it to be a miracle! Lol But I recently told my Dr I have "heartburn from hell" and she prescribed me some medicine. Ask your Dr or try the bottle kind!
Avatar n tn I thought the pain was caused by the inflammation of the esophagus, but after 6 month with increasing heartburn problems I took PPI for one month and the heartburn problem was completely gone. What was left was the constant pain in the right upper quadrant. Ultrasound, gastroscopy, coloscopy, bloodwork and an MRI showed nothing abnormal, expect a folded gallbladder but with no sign of inflammation or something. Im quite sure that the gallladder is the location of the pain.
1210142 tn?1266077031 I get that as well - chest, shoulders and back - Many cardio visits to my cardiologist, several EKG's, stress test and ECHOcardiogram, showing nothing - Had my gallbladder out May 09 and I still get pain. I had an attack today after eating peanuts..
Avatar f tn It started with heartburn about a year ago . The heartburn got frequent and severe enough to seek medical attention . They put me on aciphex and did a gastoscopy , finding just an irritated stomach lining . Ever since then I have had nothing but tons of epigastric pain and into my back . They switched me to protonix 40mg twice a day but I have minimal relief . Also had my gallbladder removed about 4 yrs ago . Any ideas ? Please Help !!!
Avatar m tn ve developed heartburn, chronic diarrhea and fatty stools. All blood work, including pancreatic and liver enzymes are normal, CT scan showed nothing, ultrasound showed fatty liver. My gallbladder was removed two years ago. I am afraid something is seriously wrong and the doctors just cant' find it. I have no appetite and am losing weight. My anxiety level is increasing as the diarrhea/weight loss gets worse.
Avatar n tn d appreciate it.) Risks in C-sections are greater than the risks in gallbladder surgery. Increased heartburn from gallstones can also cause slower digestion, leading to gastritis and inflammation of the esophagus if you also start feeling frequent heartburn. Keeping stones in can cause some difficulty, one of the most severe being a sudden blockage of the passageway that gets bile from your gallbladder to your digestive tract.
