Avatar n tn Hi I am 17 weeks and 1 day I am 36yrs old. My last baby is 18yrs old so it's been so long since I was pregnant so everything is new to me. Does any one know! I don't want to get the baby sick but I really love how it tastes.

Avatar f tn My Dr told me to take Ranitidine 150mg twice a day. Or once. Depending how bad it is. And just try to avoid greasy or spicy foods. Also don't eat to much. Instead eat several small meals throughout the day.
Avatar f tn Oh, isn't it the worse? My best advice is to avoid the foods that make it worse, acidic stuff like sausage, spicy foods and those that contain tomatoes (for me even lettuce!) Tums are an option to get you through the tough times. Drinking water and eating bland foods help, but the only real relief is delivering your baby, it's just a part of even some of the healthiest pregnancies.
Avatar n tn Sounds like acid reflux. Avoid spicy foods, and maybe some dairy products. Acid reducers would probably help as well.

Avatar f tn also modify ur diet and lifestyle...(see the Health Pages for tips on foods that are safe and foods to avoid. To help at night, elevate the head of ur bed, this will use gravity to keep the acids down where they belong.... Do talk to ur Dr about this as u will want to make sure u do not dehydrate and nothing else is going on.
