Avatar f tn For the past few days I have been feeling very nauseous after eating, sometimes with heartburn and sometimes without heartburn. What scares me is that a few years ago I had experience some blood on my toilet paper, sometimes it was a decent amount. I am also lactose intolerant. After switching to a plant based diet i haven't seen any blood, it's been about 2 years.
Avatar f tn I was sick for Two weeks before diagnosed . One evening I got horrible heartburn and now again last night after eating a few crackers. I am on my 6 th day of the prev Pac. I have gained most of my appetite back and the growling and gnawing is gone. I noticed a few months back that I was having pain in the center of my back and radiating to my upper shoulders mainly on the right side. To my surprise I was having this pain last evening before the heartburn started.
Avatar f tn The following month, when I was on the second pack of birth control pills, I woke up in the middle of the night with severe heartburn and sweating. The previous night I had tacos for dinner, and had some ice cream for dessert. I never had this kind of reaction to food in my entire life. I realized that it was probably the birth controls that caused the heartburn.
Avatar n tn Ten years ago, I had GERD symptoms everyday for about a month...(no heartburn sensation, but I could feel the acid in my throat, I choked on it at night, acid reflux, and could feel acid vapor in my ears, eyes and mouth day and night). And, for the last two weeks, I've been having the same symptoms. This time around I'm worried because, two years ago, my father died of Esophageal cancer.

Avatar n tn Operation was 16 months ago and recently I've been experiencing severe cramps in bladder area. So bad it hurts to sit, walk lie down etc. Doctor said it could be a kidney stone but X-ray doesn't show any. Asked about cancer since I get heartburn almost every day, but PSA comes up as 0.01 so I'm told I have no cancer. Doctor then states it's due to reconstruction, but why after 16 months would this now occur?
Avatar f tn I only went thru chemo for 6 sessions, but I too suffered horrific heartburn and reflux. I literally thought at first that I was having a heart attack. It was a pain that I had never experienced before. I had to be very careful what I ate, and I was put on protonix, 40 mg, and that seemed to help me. Good Luck to you. God Bless.
Avatar f tn then later that day while sipping coffee, I got in again, and the panic set in..I started thinking i had throat cancer, stomach cancer, oh and then I remembered the hernia and thought it may be a strangulated hernia so on the internet I went...It could i guess be throat cancer But it could also be the heartburn from acid reflux due to the hernia..I go to doc tommorrow. But I cant stop obsessing..and to make matters worse--I dont have insurance..

Avatar f tn t cronic or horrible, but it was coming and going and I thought I should have it checked. Well, today I found out that I have suspicious pre-cancerous cells at the bottom of my esophogus and into my stomach. I will be on Prilosec for the rest of my life to ensure that I'm doing what I can to make sure these cells don't mutate. My doctor assures me that everything is fine right now but it's good that I came in and didn't ignore it or chew TUMS on a regular basis.

Avatar m tn s disease, my sister has ulcerative colitis, my mother had bleeding ulcers, and colon cancer and I have IBS so I know first hand that early detection and treatment is the key to recovery. Avatar f tn I've had occassional PVC's for 20 plus years. I also have Mitral Valve Prolaps. About 2 months ago I started taking Prilosec for reflux. I then began to have a huge increase in the number of PVC's. Sometimes lasting all day. I've been on an event monitor for the past 2 weeks. I didn't even think that to relate this increase in PVC's to the Prilosec until about a week ago.
Avatar f tn I have been under a lot of stress lately and have some pretty severe anxiety. With this anxiety I have become really focused on my eating and digestion. I seem to be having more indigestion and now I'm concerned that I have stomach cancer and that is just exasperating the symptoms. I feel like it is probably anxiety related but I don't want to blow something serious off either.
Avatar f tn I stopped taking them in late June because it was making me tired, and I had a really nasty bout of acid reflux and sweating one night, and other digestive issues. The heartburn went away for a few weeks, but then came back with a vengeance and wreaked havoc on my life for the next couple of months. It caused sore throat, and heartburn mainly, and also developed fluid in the inner ear which caused chronic pain and popping.
Avatar f tn I had a colonoscopy at the last bout with diverticulitis and am scheduled for one in a few weeks as a precaution for colon cancer per family history. Since my gallbaldder surgery, I have had extreme gas and bloating issues. And I often feel a fullnes or "gassy ballon" feeling in my right side under my rib cage. I have wondered if its scar tissue or just my intestine full of gas. Sometimes it isnt there at all. I havent associated it with anything in particualr I've eaten.
