heart problems and nails

Please help me as I feel like there is something going on with my body and my doctor and the hospital and both told me that my nails are nothing to worry about and that everything according to my blood test, besides the Polycystic Ovary Syndrome, is fine. Also, I am 19 and over weight but my doctor has reassured me that there is nothing to worry about.

hey. i've been having pvc's and my doctor put me on toprol XL 25 mg/day and they stopped for awhile and i weaned myself off the toprol. needless to say, the pvc's came back 3 weeks later. i also noticed lately that my fingernail beds are really pale but at the end behing the white part it is a dark pink. does anybody else notice this? i know that nails can give clues to health problems and i read that it can be related to heart problems.

I had mild depression at the beginning of my pregnancy and my doctor actually recommended getting my nails done. She told me to treat myself and just have a relaxing day. So go ahead and get them done. Just like the others said, try a mask or vent out the fumes.

I am 45 years old and a female. For over 7 years I have had an off and on dull pain on my left side. It mostly hurt when I moved. It felt like my ribs were hitting something and it hurt. d say yeah, go to walmart and get her acrylic nails to play with, and blue and pink nail polish, and pretty pink lipstick and mascara. It does matter what the other girls are doing in this instance. This isn't like having sex or driving. It's just fads and fashions.

Sometimes my nails do that if I keep the nail polish on too long, like a couple weeks or so. It does that because if you always have nail polish on then your nails can't get air and that makes them turn that color...

It is good you have been checked by a doctor. I do not know what hypothyroidism is, but is sure sounds like something to do with the thyroid.. yet: "they say my thyroid was good." I assume "they" are/is a doctor. Watch out for weight gain if you eat much chocolate, it sure sticks to my bones, I have to avoid it, then I have a problem with a too high HR anyway. Shortness of breath could be related to a lack of blood oxygen due to the low HR...

I have a problem with thick big toes and constant ingrown nails. Is there anything I can do to remedy this problem...it is very painful and so thick that clippers won;t work. What medications are available for thickness and ingrown toe nails?

t know if its to do with the heart, because everywhere i read blue nails mean either heart or lung problems?! hope not.. but is it blue like we have them, or all blue? i don't smoke either, have trouble breathing sometimes, and also have mild acid reflux. hmm.. anyway, hope we figure this out asap:) if i find out anything, i'll let you know, please do the same. thanks!

I'm just wondering, can poor circulation (Raynaud's, frequent mottling of body) be a sign of an autoimmune disorder? There is a family history: my mother has Sjrogen's, Lupus and Raynaud's. I have Raynaud's. I'm wondering about my daughter. She has real problems with her circulation (heart problems ruled out), frequent rashes, slow growing nails, hair that pulls out easy.

Everything I look up about purple nails is bad... Lung or heart. I am not even sure I have acid reflux since the nexium is not working.

For over a month now I have been having some really strange symptoms, started with some petechia and then things just got crazy, skin problems (rashes I think) and bumps like pimples on my arms (no puss) and on my chest (some have puss and some dont). Started getting brown spots that look kinds like flat moles, they are small and brown all over my body, many over night (new ones). Headaches on the left side of my head and newly pressure in my for head now the headache is pretty much all over.

Well I never had a c section but I did had a serjury once and they took my nail polish off because they said they need to see any changes if any through there for example if they turned blue theres something wrong they will notice right away. But I will check with your doc.

I get gel nails and a pedi faithfully every two weeks and my baby is just fine!

hello, i am a 23years old, male, 177cm and 66kg, father died of heart attack at 45. for the last 3 months i have been having problems concentrating, feeling dizzy, feeling faint, high heart rate while at rest (90-100bpm), and sometimes jumping to 110bpm, sometimes i can feel it beat hard, some palpitations, sometimes i can feel like a ache in my chest(left side), it happenes while at rest or after a really really really long walk. during workout i feel ok (no pain, no shortness of breath).

They show no concern for my nails at all. They say my oxygen is normal and talk about reflux and anxiety. That is why I need help....very frustrated!
