Avatar f tn about 6 month ago I was admitted to hospital with a suspected angina attack as I had chest pain, pain in my left arm and jaw, I was given a perscription for asprin and gtn spray. 2 weeks later I had a treadmill test done which came back ok and was toldd to stop taking my medication. since then I have had 3 or 4 bouts of chest pain along with heart flutterings and am wondering if it would be wise to go see my GP again.
Avatar m tn I agree, but you should get into the ER or your doctor. A lot of time heart problems and jaw pain are related.
Avatar f tn it could be something not as sinister, in a heart attack there is chest pain, lower jaw pain, dizziness, pain radiating down the armmainly left side, sometimes with heart disease there is a mucasey cough that lasts for months, are you healthy? have you checked your cholesterol? and bp?
Avatar f tn The only reason why I am concerned is because I have both chest and jaw pain and those are heart attack symptoms. I also have pain in both my arms. A couple days agobefore I went to the doctors I had sweating, pressure in chest, and trouble breathing Is that why the EKG came back normal because those symptoms were gone at the time?
Avatar f tn With slighest wind or loud sound I am getting ear pain and throat pain nowadays. Now I get panicked with jaw pain. How can I distinguish that these chest pains and jaw pains are related to heart or not? Please help me to get rid of this situation. While I was writing the pain is less now. What does this indicate?
Avatar f tn I walked for an hour daily and practiced yoga for the last 35 years. On the 03.07.2011, I got up with jaw pain coming and going. Considering a check up, I went to hospital emergency. Although my BP and EKG was normal, troponine was slightly elevated. In the evening, while the doctor was checking, I got an attack in front of him. Immediately I got some medicines along with nitroglycerine under the tongue. The pain subsided in 15 minutes. Next day angioplasty was done.
Avatar n tn When people refer to jaw pain and heart attack where on the jaw is this referring to. Is it lower jaw or up near the cheek on the upper jaw. Is the pain intense or throbbing.
Avatar n tn ) test of my heart and also EKG, and said it was all right. Basically everyone said it was stress and anxiety related. I accepted that explanation, but I can't stop thinking that there is something else wrong with me. Although my symptoms really do point to anxiety, what worries me the most is that for the past month, my "heart" chest pains are getting stronger. Usually they would start late at night when I would lie down to sleep, and did not appear when I was active.
Avatar f tn HI, Jaw pain and numbness in the left arm are some of the signs of impending heart problems. Jaw pain can be one of the most excruciating pain known to man. oir woman!! You must determine the source of the pain, what is causing it. Something is putting pressure on the trgeminal nerve, it could be putting your hands in hot water, the tissue swells a little, putting pressure onthe nerve causing the pain. Are you unconsously clenching your teeth when running?
Avatar f tn I am concerned. I have ear pain, and dizziness with some jaw pain and some tingling in my arm and fingers.. This is Making my head feel like it's swimming. I have been to see my Dr. and he has put me on Methylprednisolone tablets. A six day dose. When I first started them the dizziness seem to go away. The pain in my left ear is better than my right one. I feel great when I wake up. I go to the gym and everything is fine but as the morning goes on I begin to get symptoms.
Avatar f tn Hello, I am a diabetic and I am on medication for both diabetes and blood pressure. I am female and 47 years old. I began to have pain under my left shoulder and between, in my neck up to my jaw, chest left side and below left breast. My blood pressure has reached 160+/as high as 107 when I have other symptoms. Sometimes it feels like I can not take a deep breath. These symptoms do not last.
Avatar f tn 33 year old female, history of chest pain dates back almost 6 years. Also have pain in left jaw, neck, shoulder, arm, back and armpit areas. Have been diagnosed with sarcoidosis in the past year, confirmed by biopsy. Have moderately high blood pressure, which is controlled with medication. In the last year, I have had a treadmill stress test and a resting echocardiogram. Both indicated no problems. Over the past 6 years, I have had 3 EKG's also (the last one being about 2 years ago).

1328595 tn?1283018449 I was prescribed 375 mg of Naprosyn for jaw pain/inflammation. I've taken it for two days and have had a painful side effect. Ever since I started taking it, I've had stabbing pain/burning in the sternum area of my chest. Pretty much all day long. I'm assuming its heartburn but I read that that happens with prolonged use. I rarely use over the counter NSAIDs, such as Aleve. Could it be my heart?
Avatar n tn Please act on it. Definitely heart problems need to be ruled out as along with carotid and jaw pain you also have fatigue and angina. Hope this helps. Please let me know if there is any thing else and do keep me posted. Take care!

268356 tn?1236002604 I am having it on the right side and it hurts worse when I talk or when I eat. Just started today. However, jaw pain can also be a major symptom of a heart attack in women. What is your opinions. Anyone else?
370181 tn?1595629445 Thanks so much for your response, selma. I didn't think about the vagus nerve being a possibility and I'd never heard of the condition you called "silent reflux." I was just incredibly relieved you didn't immediately say "run to your cardiologst as it might be a heart attack!" That is what I was fearing someone would say.
Avatar n tn This has now progressed to my throat and neck where it feels swollen sometimes and now I feel it in my right cheek and jaw too. I’ve had heart palpitations and even a couple of episodes where my heart raced up to 160 bpm for up to 5 hours a couple times. I’m a little over weight but have been running 3 miles a day most days for years. I’ve also had EKGs and other evaluations over the years due to being in the military and my EKGs always come back perfect.
Avatar n tn t reveal all problems. A nuclear scan will show any areas of the heart which are not receiving enough blood and give good clues to the cardiologist.
Avatar m tn I am a 26 year old male, 5'11 240 lbs. For the past 3 or 4 months I have been having intermittent left arm pain that tends to change in places where it hurts ranging from my shoulder all the way down to the tips of my fingers and anywhere in between in my arm. Some times it hurts all the way down my arm and sometimes I may just have one little spot on my arm or even finger that hurts by itself. My right arm has hurt occasionally but not very often at all.
Avatar m tn Cardiac problems do not always present with angina, and dangerous angina is a powerful pain felt on the entire left side of the thorax, and quite distinct from muscle pain or the pain of radiculopathy. While you are quite young to experience cardiac problems there are risk factors associated that may cause early heart disease: tobacco or cocaine use, stress, history in the family, obesity, Type A personality, and more. If you have any doubts, please seek medical advice.
659608 tn?1318289366 It is however more than possible that you could have an infection in your jaw, say, from an impacted or infected wisdom tooth. Tooth pain can often make the ear and neck hurt as well (just as an ear infection can make the teeth hurt...). There is also the possibility that there is nothing wrong with you dentally either and you are suffering from neuralgic pain.
Avatar f tn I wonder if it is all from TMD (and its a fact I grind my teeth and wear a nightguard) and if it is do I have any hope? Can my jaw still be helped and maybe the rest of me. Thank you for your thoughts on this.
Avatar n tn About a year ago I started getting chest, upper back, shoulder and jaw pain. I noticed that the jaw and arm pain in particular seemed to be more prominent about 10 minutes into exercising. I had a stress echo which was normal. Pain is on and off, both with and without exertion. Forward to Summer... the discomfort while exercising seems more prominent again. Went to a second cardiologist for a 2nd opinion and had another stress test. All results were normal.
