heart palpitations vs irregular heartbeat

Lately, my worry about my irregular heartbeat is really freaking me out. About a year ago I went to a cardiologist and got all the tests-Holter, Echo, EKG, stress test, and all was fine. He noticed a large number of skipped beats, but he said it was anxiety. He said it was nothing life threatening. I was pretty good for awhile, but now my arrythmia is getting worse. I don't know if its anxiety making it worse or it actually being worse and causing more anxiety.

They doctor mentioned something about the bottom chamber of my heart but wasn’t too clear over the phone. The irregular heartbeat were all caught by the specialist and the sleep study lab. I have a follow up within three weeks from now. I stopped taking the channel blockers as of today.

Quick question for you please and thanks. I have been completely checked out by and EP (10 years ago) and numerous cardiologists because of PVC's and PAC's (not too many around 100 per day). Everyone says I am fine but I had kind of a scary thing happen the other day. I do have an anxiety disorder because of these heart arrythmias but would like to know if it is really normal when I feel ANY stress what-so-ever my heart will go irregular.

I have an irregular heartbeat at night. sometimes it feels like my heart will jump out of my chest and it literally wakes me up. I will feel my heart rate increasing and then all of a sudden "jumps". this happend at least every second night and I cannot sleep.

hi im 19 years old and have been dealing with an irregular heartbeat for almost 6 years now. recently my chest has been getting really tight and sometimes causes a slight pain in my left shoulder/ left side of my chest. also, the left side of my face sometimes goes numb when my heart begins messing up. it hasnt always done this but also i get random feelings (feel like twitches or muscle spasms) mostly around my heart area but also other random places on my body.

I take adderall which I know is causing me heart palpitations but only when I am laying down or leaning foreward. I realize palpitations are not good and I may be discontinuing the medication but I am just curious and have a question re: anatomy and physiology. I am an RN and will understand medical terms. Why do I only get these palpitations when I am laying down?

It was recently found that I have a lesion in the posterior aspect of the left medulla. I also have a history of abnormal(high) HR and irregular heartbeat/palpitations. Done the cardiologist thing: EKGs, ultrasound, holter monitor, more I forgot. Everything is "fine", structurally sound they say. They don't know why or what. The medulla controls these and other autonomic functions, does it not? Could this be the culprit?

is there any link between the slow heart rate and palpitations or between hypertension and heart block. iam extremely worried,please i need to be informed.

I've told them multiple times about the palpitations and I've had them for years because of my anxiety but just as the pregnancy has progressed they get more often not worse just more often.

There really isn't any correlation between the two. But your stomach can make you feel like your heart is acting up, or your heart will be acting up, and you may think it's just your stomach. So, any irregular, or rapid heartbeats needs further investigation.

If you have an irregular heart beat, those pauses and then more forceful beats, on a regular basis......is this hard on your heart and are you more likely to have heart trouble later in life? I have worn a holter monitor, had a stress test and echocardogram, and they say there is no problem that requires treatment. I do have am above normal blood calcium level, and I have for years, and I wonder if that could be related.

Since then I have had 3 episodes (a few weeks apart) in which I wake up around 4 AM and have an irregular heart beat. The irregular beats last about 6 hours, and usually subside by noontime. The first time it happened I was worried so I saw my PCP and they did an EKG, put me on a 24 monitor and followed up with a heart ultrasound. All tests came back normal. I have reduced my caffeine intake since the first episode, and the latest episode was in fact milder than the first two.

First of all, do you take any other depression drugs, or mood disorder drugs such as SNRIs and SSRI ? If mixed with these, Zoloft can cause serotonin syndrome. This includes fever, sweating, muscle stiffness, trouble thinking clearly, a change in mental functioning, sleepiness, or change in your breathing, heartbeat and blood pressure disorder. If this is the case, you should stop taking Zoloft and speak to your Doctor.

Has anyone ever gotten irregular heartbeat after eating?? My heart gets really irregular and I feel very anxious after I eat. I hate feeling this way.

I have read the list of side effects, including irregular heartbeat/palpitations (the only one that scares me, and is a trigger for panic attacks). My questions are: In what situations does Klonopin cause irregular heartbeat/palpitations? And: I have used other benzos in the past, including Ativan, Xanax, and Valium, without experiencing irregular heartbeat/palpitations. How likely is it to experience it with Klonopin if I have not with any other benzo med?

What happens is when I am plating basketball and running hard, my heart obviosuly increases, when I stop running and rest my heart starts skipping and having irregular beats until my heart rate slows enough. When it slows to a good rate it all stops. The palpitations are different sometimes, it skips a beat and then other times it beats too early, like irregular heart beats. Like I said this will happen for a couple minutes until my heart rate decreases to a resting level.
