Avatar m tn My resting heart rate was just 6 months ago around 55 to 65. It is now 100 to 110. Sometimes when I am just standing there I get palpitations causing my heart rate to hit the 120 through 150s. I attempt to stay active but with little exercise my heart rate is around 200. correction walking up one flight of steps and my heart rate is 180. I am a 20 year old male 5'10 140lbs I am not out of shape but I am afraid I will be since I cant stand to exercise anymore.
Avatar f tn My son had an enlarged kidney. This was a result of me taking zolfran while pregnant for severe morning sickness. Luckily he outgrew it after a year but not all babies do.
Avatar n tn Hi, welcome to the forum, there are many possibilities of palpitations (loud heart beats). Whenever there is increased load to heart leads to palpitations. Anxiety and stress, low blood sugar, hyperthyroid state, cardiac abnormality etc. may cause palpitations. If associated with chest pain there can be a possibility of pericarditis.
Avatar n tn However, because I also need a heart, I will not be allowed a kidney, and because I also need a kidney, I will not be allowed a heart. One without the other would be a waste, as the new transplant would need the other in order for a successful outcome. I hope this helps you to understand........ Don't lose hope, though. I have a ICD and I receive dialysis 6 days a week and I get along fine.
2071635 tn?1334546479 Awareness of your heartbeat is termed as palpitation and it can be due to hyperthyroidism( overactive thyroid), arrhythmias (altered electrical system of the heart), certain medications, heart failure, anemia and low blood sugar. It can be aggravated by exercise, fever, excessive alcohol consumption, smoking and dehydration. Anxiety, fear or stress can cause palpitations. You should consult your primary care physician for therapy. He will examine you and may ask for blood tests and an EKG.
Avatar m tn When I urinate I can feel my heart racing in my head and I get a burning pain in the middle of my back. I also noticed that my urine is foamy. What could be causing this ?
Avatar f tn many things cause weight gain and fatigue such as stress, depression, poor nutrition, too much sleep, not enough sleep etc. As far as the heart palpitations, could be anxiety or a minor panick attack. Depending on your age, heart palpitations should be discussed with a doctor.
Avatar n tn I am 42, 5'2", 105lbs. Healthy. I have heart palpitations frequently, usually at rest. This has been checked out with a cardiologist, who had me wear a monitor for a month. Nothing significant was found. Now, a year later, I am experiencing, almost every night, when I lie on my right side the palpitations start and continue until I turn onto my back or left side. Should I be concerned?
1427932 tn?1282986217 GERD and cardiac problems have a lot of the same symptoms and heart problems should always be ruled out first. Palpitations that wake you from sleep could be an indication of an irregular heart rhythm, it may be normal for you but you need to have your doctor make that call. Neck pain, abdominal pain, cold extremities from circulation issues, fatigue can all be cardiac as well, different medications can cause issues. You didn't mention if your doctor was aware of all of your symptoms.
Avatar n tn I was hospital with Low potassium that is now stable but I have Heart palpitations, fatigue, muscle weakness, weight loss, dizziness on standing, low blood pressure on standing, Just generally Exhausted all the time but I can not Stay standing which suck! I can not walk for more than 10 mins. So this week I was talking to a friend and she asked what ever happened with the heart echo way back when. So I went and got the Results.
Avatar f tn Both my daughter (who is now 2) and my son (I'm 34 weeks) had brain cysts. It's extremely common for cysts to develop and to typically absorb. As long as there are no other "markers" to indicate an issue everything will be fine! On my follow up ultrasounds for both babies the cyst was gone. Even if it isn't, don't worry. A cyst is just a cyst and if still there does not definitely mean there is something wrong.
Avatar n tn Other causes of low BP and rapid heart rate along with palpitations are dehydration, vasovagal reaction or some cardiac pathology.I would recommend a cardiologist’s evaluation and getting echocardiography and holter monitor test to rule out any cardiac cause. Hope it helps.Take care and pls do keep me posted on how you are doing.Kind regards.
Avatar m tn Hello, I'm a 26 year old male otherwise healthy. I drink on average 12 beers a day, which i know is not good for me, and on the weekends or get togethers more than that. For the past 4 years I've been having heart palpitations, and a 26 beat run of ventricular tachycardia. EP dr thought it to be benign, 1 out of 4 EP's I seen wanted me to do the EP study and "possible" ablation.
Avatar n tn Well, How to even begin here? It's really difficult to start, because there's so much to type. I guess I'll start at the beginning!! Well, for starters I'm 23 female, yes overweight. No known medical problems until July of 2007. I basically had my Period for about 78 days straight, went to the OBGYN, she put me on Provera to help stop the period. When I was put on provera, it DID work for stopping the period but started giving me INCREDIBLY horrible heart palpitations.
Avatar f tn I feel nauseous off and on and in just the last week have been having heart palpitations. The palpitations are random and quite quick. For just a few seconds my heart feels very floppy as if it is trying to pump and can't and then poof back to normal. I also shake sometimes right when I start eating. Other times about five minutes after I start eating I feel almost as if I were drunk. I am asthmatic and have an inhaler I use on average once or twice a week.
Avatar m tn Do you have fewer breathing problems, have more energy and ability to exercise, fewer chest pains, less fatigue, fewer palpitations, fewer problems with a fast heart rate, can sleep lying down, etc.?
Avatar n tn If the purpose is to reduce palpitations (which I assume from this post in the heart rhythm community), I would consider taking a magnesium supplement instead of spraying your skin with oils. However, before trying to treat anything, I would recommend asking your doctor. Magnesium is not recommended for all cardiac conditions. It helps some people with palpitations, and it can slightly reduce the blood pressure.
Avatar f tn If you have no symptoms such as palpitations, sweating, flushing, your doctor may start with some kidney function labs and perhaps an ultrasound of your kidney arteries. Hope this helps!
Avatar f tn I've had heart palpitations for 10 months, they started right after a hiatus hernia operation. I get them everyday. I get them at different times, while watching tv or just relaxing in bed, doing normal everyday things. I had blood work done and was told I was low on B12 and was told to take 1000 mcg of a supplement daily. While taking it the palpitations got stronger so I stopped taking it and they eased up.
187666 tn?1331173345 Though this is all conjecture on my part but I could definitely see a correlation between being sick and the heart being under more duress. But do go get this kidney thing checked out as soon as possible not even because of the heart but because something indeed is still wrong. Feel better soon.
Avatar m tn I started noticing heart palpitations when I graduated college. It seems like my palpitations are getting worse and have now flat lined. So I do not sense that the palpitations are getting worse. I visited my doctors about them and they put me on a holter monitor and they didn't have a solution for my heart palpitations. So they decided to put me on beta blocker (Lowest Dose- Half of 25MG), which has helped a lot with my heart palpitations. I can now exercise without any palpitations.
Avatar f tn A friend of mine who is also struggling with hashimotos asked me a couple weeks ago if I had noticed a link between heart palpitations and my menstrual. I told her I don't really remember and plus I'm not really tracking them, all I knew is that they were very rare now. My menstrual was due that week so I told her I'd keep an eye out for them. Sure enough 3 days prior to my menstrual I started getting them not bad but they were obvious.
Avatar m tn really hot in my upper body almost 24/7, feeling almost like sunburn all the time. Heart palpitations, sometimes with dizzines and fast heartrate. Blood pressure has been normal around 120/60, but occasional it has spiked. I have also been experiencing occasional headaches. Occasionally out of breath. Finger and toenails are occasionally turning to bluish colour. Also some chest pressure. Sometimes my eyes feel dry and also my skin seems sometimes pretty dry.
Avatar f tn where to start? for the past 3 years I have been having heart palpitations all due to the fact of a drug 2 cardiologists can't find anything wrong when I went vegetarian 2 years ago I lost half of my hair and I'm not vegetarian for a year and a half and it's still falling out I have internal shaking and I also loose circulation in my hands legs feet and arms. There are days when I am just sitting or doing something and I feel like I'm going to pass out.
Avatar f tn The dizziness and shortness of breath are normal that early in pregnancy but I would tell your doctor about the heart palpitations and headaches. Do you drink enough water? Being dehydrated can cause pain in the kidneys and headaches. You probably won't gain weight this early, in a few weeks time you will. Just try to eat healthy and get the extra calories you need for the baby.
Avatar f tn Hi, I'm a 27 year old female, who just recently started having heart palpitations. I've had EKG's and an echo cardiogram, but my cardiologist says it's stress induced. She also told me to avoid caffeine and alcohol, get lots of sleep and drink lots of water. I've been pretty good about all of those things, trying to reduce stress in my life, but I've felt palpitations everyday for the past 3 and a half months, since the day they started.
Avatar f tn Heart palpitations are common in pregnancy because of your increased blood volume. It also can be related to amemia..anxiety. .etc.I hope you feel better.
Avatar m tn I have what seem to be very strange heart palpitations, a "normal" palpitation would be just a sudden "skipped" beat feeling but for me, sometimes not always, i have what feels like a skipped beat and then my heart rhythm feels "off" or if its fluttering for sometimes up to 5-10 minutes then my heart thumps and everything goes back to normal.
