My father is 60 years old and had a heart attack last week. When diagnosed he had 80% blockage in one artery and a minor block in other artery. His Coloestrol, sugar and BP is perfect. Doc though is suggesting a bypass, can anybody suggest that is it the last remedy or we can have some scope through medicines?

Im 18yrs old and I had an operation to correct a sub aortic stinosis which didnt work at theage of 2 and a half, and around the time of me 12 birthday, i had thae ross precedure done, and obviously, im still alive, fingers crossed all will be ok with you, im going to have a lot more operations on my heart so im sure you, or whoever it is having their second op will be ok.
The little mass kept disappearing and appearing. I had to make videos so drs. would believe me. When he was 6 years old he did orchiopexy surgery then 2017 pediatric surgery did laparoscopic surgery and found a right inguinal hernia . However, this hernia was never detected in ultrasounds, MRI's or CT's scans. After his surgery the pain got worse. Since 2017 he is having this pain on and off. Now, 2021 the pain is extreme and frequent it's daily at a level 9.
How do you find out the number of heart operations or procedures your doctor has performed and his/her success rate?
Where can I buy a device to listen to my baby's heart? And how much are they?? I had my first doctors appt at 8 weeks, I am currently 10 weeks and my next doctors appt is until the end of the month... I haven't heard my baby's heart beat and I am anxious to do it....
I am just wondering if you know how big the risk is for an operation like this? Do many of these operations happen? Because i have had a few operations before, does that greatly increase my risk this time (due to scar tissue around the heart)? I live in Australia and my specialist here gave me the talk of it being a high risk operation, etc.
Re-operations are generally thought to be higher-risk than first-time operations, but some of the top centers (on the order of Mayo, Cleveland Clinic, Texas Heart, Mass General, etc.) are showing re-op mortality and morbidity stats that are very similar to first-time stats. The skill of the surgeon plays a huge, huge role. Your daughter needs an expert surgeon. In my opinion, she should try to go to a major heart center for this operation, even if she has to travel.

Soo everyone has been telling me not to watch labor videos because it's going to freak me out but I just watched one and honestly it made me cry it was so beautiful I'm 38weeks+3days and I'm just waiting for my baby girl to get here so I can experience something so amazing
I am 17 and pregnant (please dont judge me) but in my school they are making me got to a class by myself in a office room to sit there and watch videos of.girls giving birth.....ik its not gonna be easy and its gonna hurt BUT i was planning to just go with it when time came since i dont want to be super scared and belive my labor will be like everyone elses (just because everyone is different) ....now i am watching these videos i am seriously getting freaked out...its not like these.
but today at my birthing class they were showing us a bunch of videos of real women giving birth and now im even more scared! instead of helping me and making me feel better about giving birth like it literally has scared the **** out of me. My pregnancy was planned so of course i knew what i was getting into. well i thought i knew what i was getting into lol.
Does anyone else watch any labor and delivery videos and get freaked out....
I’m a computer buff and I work at home. Because of this, I seldom get to have physical exercise. I’m worried that I’ll start putting on the pounds once I hit the 30s. But what I'm more concerned about are the risks that come with having a job that doesn't give much room for exercise. Our family has a history of heart conditions. Unfortunately my dad died from it. It's quite scary so..I’d like to start exercising but I’d rather do it at home.
