heart

Avatar f tn s, and hydro, but i never just detoxed off the soma but I do know it is risky to go c/t off soma. Your heart is a mussel and your heart has gotten used to the soma and c/t can be very dangerous. Seek out a Dr. and let him/her help you. Good Luck to you.
Avatar f tn I went to rehab several years ago. Stayed clean for about 10 years. Now for the last 7-8 years I have been out of control. Soma is my drug of choice. I can't get enough of it and I want to stop. I am lost here. I am afraid to tell my husband (last time he forgave me this time he won't). I have thousands of dollars on my credit cards for pills. My husband doesn't know this. Currently I take about 10 pills a day.
Avatar f tn had suggested also that I taper off the soma although I did not and went ct I wish I would of.. soma effects the central nervous system.. to remove the drug all at once can cause seizures confusion trouble sleeping and acidic stomach coupled with headaches.. your best bet would be to speak to your Dr. he can set you up with a taper schedule. have you tried flexaril ? it is non addictive and does help with muscle spasms.
623065 tn?1275503695 You are awesome!! Congratulations on 48 days of sobriety! I detoxed from high doses of dilaudid 21 months ago and never looked back. I'm a work in progress but that's another story. Sleep disturbance is such a struggle and so common in the WD. It took a few months to return to a normal sleep pattern. I would wake at 3 am, then 4 then 5 and so on. These were some of my lonliest times. While everyone in the house was enjoying a restful sleep I was awake, feeling anxious and sad.
Avatar f tn Acute symptoms, which generally abate within a few days of onset, include seizure, severe headache, nausea, sleeplessness and stomach pain. Because of the severity of these symptoms, many Soma addicts relapse before a post-acute treatment regimen can begin. This makes for all the more reason why Soma addicts need to seek treatment in a specialized detoxification facility." You tell me....
733362 tn?1489794936 5 million more than the next highest prescriber of SubSys in the whole country(US). The new Doc told me I could have valium or soma, I chose soma. I am reading that a side effect of soma is rapid HR, so I guess I have to stop it too. Now that I'm down to 10mg Valium I don't want to go back to more. I have about 90, 10mg left and a script for 30, 5mg. The new Doc wanted me to go from 15mg valium to 10 for a week, then 5mg for a week then stop.
171791 tn?1358214381 gave me a choice of soma/valium..he said they were pretty much the same..Can you take something else maybe to sleep instead..I have bad hip pain too...
Avatar n tn I came across some soma and really do not know what it is for. is it a narcotic? is it addictive?
Avatar f tn I am so sorry to read your pet is in pain. I now nothing breaks my heart more than when my dog suffers any injury. While there are some medicines that can be used on both humans and dogs, you need to consult a vet to verify that it is safe. Try calling an emergency vet in your area or take your dog in to see them.
733362 tn?1489794936 5 during the day. I take 1-1/2 Soma at night. Soma does a better job of relieving pain and allowing sleep. I have to sleep on my stomach because of the broken scapula. It always hurts but gets a burning pain if I sit back in a Lazy Boy for more than 20 minutes or anything touching it. Doc Rx'd me 4 Lortab, 4 Soma and 3 Valium 10mg a day(I only take 1-1/2 10mg valium a day. If I had taken as prescribed I would be a drooler and a terrible addict.
Avatar m tn If this continues after you are clean then I would talk to the Dr because of your Heart issues..I started to sweat bad again before the Heart thing but last month he said it was nothing to do with my Heart but maybe hormones..hahaha. Just be Safe..OK!
Avatar n tn wow, that is great..If i remember your previous post you were taking alot of soma's?? To go down to 4 is wonderfull...I can't take soma as they make me feel very bad, so I am not real sure about the w/d of those going c/t... But if i were you, since you took the whole week off, I would c/t off of the norco's first...One med at a time, and keep weaing off the soma's.. Good luck and god bless!! you will do great!!
Avatar n tn streets and our your Dr ? You say your husband is sick of your behavior and you have a autistic child.. abusing the soma the way that you are leaves you unable to really function at times even speak as it effects the central nervous system.. this is why the seizures.. You can die from these.. Your heart can stop as it too is a muscle.. You came to the right place for help if this is what you are seeking.
610098 tn?1220571896 Hi, Soma is a muscle relaxer, i do go without them for a month or so,,,,,because i cant get them, and every month i say im gonna tell my doc i dont want them anymore,,,,,but the temptation takes over, and i get them, have been hospitalized twice because of them with alcohol, he knows it but he still prescribes them.
Avatar m tn i have had a slight pain in my left chest area by my heart. it has been about three weeks. i have taken ibufrofen and wrapped it but it is still uncomfortable. everybody thinks its a pulled muscle. every once in a while my hand/arm go numb like they are asleep. i was given soma for the pain but im afraid to take it. the pain is never extremely bad but every once in a while i get a random twinge that scares me.
Avatar f tn ve done ct scan, blood tests, x rays (chest and back), ultra sounds, heart monitor, 4 ecg tests and everything came back fine. Last week i went to my private doctor where i took the back x rays he says my spine is fine and that its a muscle issue that caused the back and chest pain, i'm now taking soma tablets but my head pain won't go away and it's really scary. What could be the cause? I'm really concerned.
Avatar m tn I have been looking over the Thomas Recipe, and I have some questions. First here is a list if med's I am taking Flexerile, Soma, Cymbalta, and Neurontin. Will any of these medications help, or hurt doing the Thomas Recipe? I really don't have access to the valium. I can't taper down because I have taken my last pills today, and I am dry. I noticed the recipe said to watch taking MAIO's with some of the supplements. Does anyone know anything about this.
Avatar f tn As an ER RN for 20 years and years of using Soma, it does not cause withdrawals. If you are experiencing withdrawals, I would say it may be a psychological withdrawal. Sometimes I run out early, and all I end up with is a back ache.
1387175 tn?1326400997 I have RA I take Norco 10/325 And 2 soma 350mg but I want slowly get of soma even with a disc in my lower back L5S1 lumbar neuropathy radopathy
Avatar m tn Soma is a muscle relaxer. I am on Norco an was on Soma a few months ago. I have muscle pain as well as arthritis and nerve pain in my back so the Soma did help with the muscle pain. Now that I'm not on Soma my back just burns with muscle pain. I really want to go back on it. Soma works right away when you take it. The only drawback is that it will make you sleepy.
Avatar n tn If you have taken the soma regularly for a length of time do not stop them all at once... you will need to taper off them, you can have seizures.
Avatar f tn but others have different opinnions. now that you told him I think that will take away a lot of anxiety and a lot of guilt etc. now he can help you. just be careful and tell him that you don't want to get hooked on another pill so ask him to keep them put away and only give you one if you're really having a bad time for real. you're doing good! you should be over the hump. I'm on day 11 and I want to know when I'll feel normal again too.........
Avatar f tn My husband started taking soma for a month. he wants to stop. he only took 30 is he going to have WD? If so should he taper or go CT. also just to let you know he isn't taking vic's, but has a long history of taking them.
210982 tn?1280983895 Soma was another one of those drugs that doctors liked to say was non-addictive, but there are published cases of dependence now. Its a muscle relaxer which sounds about right for the procedure you had done, but be careful, it is addictive. When I was needing a muscle relaxer (for medical purposes) I found that flexeril did the same thing for me as soma, but didn't give me a buzz.

1714202 tn?1352672419 I am so sorry to hear you are having so much trouble with your back and I pray you find some relief from your pain. I took Soma once for a few months after a car accident about 10 yrs ago, it did have an extremely euphoric effect on me. However, the urge to continue using the medication after I had recovered from the accident wasn't as strong as when I discontinued my use of the Norco I was taking a few months later. ( I was taking hydrocodone 10/325's 2x/6hrs daily.
