i have a 7-8 year old male jack russell hes a rescue and we have had him 2 years next month. We tuck him for a check up when we got him and the vet said he had a heart mumer, just lately around mid after noon he starts to shake and he lies down with his bottom in the air and his heart pumping funnily and this goes on for ages then when we get up in the morning hes fine and running around like a mad dog...

Thank you Margot49 and Skydnsr for your advice. I did search my yard completely. I also look up my puppy breed (Mini-iltian grey-hound and jack russell) which I'm the owner of both. Yes, I believe he did have a heart problem. I'm to have his body check by a vet. Since it's only one left of my jack russell litter, I'm going to take the one I gave my mom check. The hardest part was telling my God-Baby who artisic her puppy past...we both cried.

You might want to talk to the breeder about returning him or if he came from a pet store find the nearest jack russell breed rescue group in your area. Or take him to a really good puppy class where the instructors can help and support you.

Hi, just wondering if you found out what this was as my puppy which is a chihuahua cross jack Russell has the same thing under her eyelid she is 9 weeks old and I'm not sure whether to be concerned or not. As I am really worried in case its something bad?

I have a young jack russell/lab 8 month old puppy. Directly below his rib cage on the underside of his belly is a hard lump. What is this lump? Should I be concerned?

Black tarry poop usually means there is bleeding higher up in the GI tract. For instance in her stomach, possibly. She needs to see a vet for a thorough examination. Like BluCrystal said, do take a sample with you. It will save time. Parvo is a possibility. But there could be other causes of course. She may need a few tests.

If your Jack Russell has had his shots, there is a much better chance that the puppy will pick something up along the way. His immune system has nothing to help it right now since he's no longer getting protection from the antibodies in his mother's milk and he hasn't had shots to help him set up his own immunities to diseases. Seven weeks is FAR too young for a chihuahua to be leaving its litter, too.

Hi, last night a friends jack Russell decided to play with our border collie. So the jack Russell jumped with force from the floor and right into my pelvic/abodenal area causing pain and me to jump up.
