You will see the results soon. Believe me. I have lost 30 kg of weight thats about 66 pounds in about 8 months. So I am saying this all by my personal experience. Good Luck.
Avatar f tn If you're doing a lot of weight-training, then you've obviously put on muscle. It weighs a whole lot more than fat, so even though you're working out and LOSING FAT, you're not losing the WEIGHT because you've upped your muscle percentage. This is healthy, and muscle burns calories even at rest, so you've increased your metabolic rate (which is good!).

Avatar f tn im 5'5"..a healthy weight is anywhere from 114 to 140 (i read that somewhere yesterday not sure how correct that is) so if i needed to loose 150 pounds..we are talking almost 300 pounds i would be! im not sure how tall you are or how much you currently weigh...but if your my height and need to loose 150 pounds you would be close to 300 pounds?!? i can tell you excercising 30 mins a day will not help you loose 150 pounds.

Avatar f tn First, be sure of what a healthy weight is for your particular bone structure- for example, someone with larger bone circumference would not be expected to weigh the same as someone with small bones even if they are the same height. Secondly, in the morning, if you skip breakfast now, don't skip breakfast, because skipping breakfast actually causes your body to go into starvation mode, which means your metabolism slows down, which in the long run will not help you lose weight.

Since losing weight too quickly can be dangerous and often results in gaining much, if not all, of it back, I don’t recommend that you try to lose much more than that. We advocate healthy weight loss vs fad diets, pills, etc.

Also eat a Heart Healthy diet which means a moderate fat diet to lower the fat content of your foods and increase ‘good’ fats to benefit your body. Moderate fat diet means = use polyunsaturated (omega 3, corn oil, nuts, etc) fats and monounsaturated (olive oil, canola oil, peanut oil, etc) fats, no saturated fats (high fat snack foods, butter, fat spreads) and no trans fats.

I would argue that it is even more stressful on this vital organ than the opposite problem of obesity. I know this from experience: my own considerable heart rhythm problems started immediately after I lost a lot of weight.
