Avatar f tn My birth mother dumped my sister and I out of her car when I was 2 yrs old and my sister was 1. She left us on the street and drove off. She was addicted to drugs and 2 kids hampered her style. I think that this was a defining moment in my life... I don't trust people easily at all and I've always had a huge steel wall around my heart.. It's almost impossible to break through the barrier.
Avatar m tn She accepted it and she said she would support me as always though she also agrees that nothing too serious will come up. But after this time I totally learnt a lesson. Whether or not I get infected, I would definitely remember this lesson and grateful that God has stayed in my heart because of this incident.
Avatar n tn Can heart problems be the cause of other health issues? I’ve suffered from all sorts of nuisance problems with my heart, SVT’s, PVC's, Heart murmur, pericarditis and so on and every since I was diagnosed with these over 13 yrs ago, I’ve had nothing but health problems. Any late nights cause me to get flu-like symptoms, I get tonsillitis and sore throats every other month and it doesn’t mater how many vitamins I take, I still suffer from poor health.
Avatar n tn I have been known to have a resting heart rate between 100-150 bpm, and last year, my heart stopped for a second and then started to beat erratically. My lips have been getting blue with exercise and my pulse ox is normal There is strong heart disease in my family, Nobody can figure this out, and they say it is not coming from the heart.
Avatar f tn s rare so not very likely, but that one has a genetic test. One seems to start in the Lungs and affect the heart while the other starts in the heart.
Avatar n tn I smoked heavily for 20 years and stopped in Feb 2007 due to a heart attack. In Sept last year I had to have a very risky angioplasty procedure on my heart and was admitted to Imperial College London. I was scared stiff and sneaked outside to have a cigarette to calm my nerves, or so I thought. I managed to get a cigarette off another patient, lit it, and took one puff. Sheesh, I wish I hadn't. I couldn't stand up for 10 mins, I thought I was going to pass out.
1308936 tn?1278148563 It sometmes takes months to know. My heart attack caused hypokinesis (impaired heart wall movement from echo) and the EF was below 29% with echo and 13% with cath. A heart attack results in heart wall movement impairment due to damaged heart cells. If this weren't the situation, there is no heart attack.
2103516 tn?1350948515 Taking even ONE pain pill so soon in my detox set me back to the way I felt at day 3. It's a miserable day. So if you're arguing with yourself and having a conversation like this: "I'm doing so well, one or two pills won't hurt and I only need it temporarily to get a little relief." then PLEASE STOP NOW... because "just one" can hurt and it only drags out the W/D symptoms. We've come too far to take steps backward! I hate pills...

Avatar f tn I was only able to eat like two or three bites of food at a time or I would throw up before I even made it off the buildings front porch. I tried eating more than a few bites to learn that lesson. Well being in college and broke I was only eating a few bites of food once or twice and day (three times if I was lucky).
Avatar m tn There are some very serious causes of this including diease of the heart, brain, blood vessels and eye. I suggest she see an eye MD as soon as possible. If she is older than 50 she needs a blood test called CRP and Sed Rate to rule out giant cell arteritis.

Avatar f tn Sometimes I feel my heart palpitating, and an abnormal heart rhythm... I'm not 100% sure if it technically flutters, or beats irregularly, I kind of feel both sensations at once. Mild chest pain is sometimes present and I will usually feel my heartbeat in my arms, neck, or somewhere else. Tonight I felt it in the right part of my chest which I'm not familiar with feeling. Often when I do get these symptoms they tend to last for awhile, and/or come back later.
Avatar m tn Hi, I wanted to ask that since last on year i have something that is troubling me in my chest area. It seems like that sometimes there is something stuck just besides my heart and since last one year i feel that on and off. I have done several tests like ecg etc but nothing was diagnosed. I wanted to inform you that i was a chain smoker and left smoking few weeks back and now i'm not taking anything that can harm me.
572651 tn?1530999357 His story is one worth repeating so we remember that it is important to report changes in our health to our doctors, no matter how small it may seem to us. You may remember I had taken him for an MRI in early-May. He had been having memory and vision problems. Those tests showed nothing wrong. My mother had been thinking that he was showing the signs of Alzheimers or dementia.
Avatar f tn Its MY worst symptom ,to deal with . anger ,short temper . but there are ways to lesson it . what treatment drugs are you using ? if any ?
Avatar n tn If you feel unsure you should see a doctor, just to rule out other causes of possible heart/chest pains such as gastritis, heart murmurs, arrhythmia, lung problems etc- especially if it is an ongoing problem. HOWEVER if you get dizzy, tunnel vision, faint, extremely nauseated, or have difficultly breathing you need to go to the ER ASAP as these could be signs of something life threatening.
1510642 tn?1290087285 I would get (sometimes do) heart palpitations while exercising when I noticed one day my heart beating faster, when I was worrying /being nervous about something (I experienc generalized anxiety)...so that started a kind of chain of , "oh, I think I should always "monitor" my heart now"....No, no , no....that was me trying to notice every thing my heart/body was doing..just freaking myself out really... That is great that the bloodwork and EKG came out normal...
