Sarcoidosis is a systemic (multiple organ) disease. A lot of patients only present with symptoms in one organ (usually lungs). Some patients have it in many organs or tissues, or patients where it presented in the lungs only develop multiple organ involvement later on, but it's the same disease where ever the granuloma, and inflammation are at.
In the near future, there is a lot of new procedures coming out. Heart surgeries will no longer be open heart according to the heart surgeons I spoke with. Unless there is some reason why they cannot do stents. Talk to your doctor and possibly get a second opinion so that you feel comfortable that you are making the correct choice.
