Avatar n tn Some people catch a virus that attacks their heart. And then there are all the other causes that I dont know about (because I am not a doc, just a patient!)...
Avatar f tn I have been sufferring with really bad GERD lately with attacks of ringing ears, heart pulpitations, dizziness, stiff neck, headache, aching joints and tiredness.
Avatar n tn I have read cardiologists know that ischemia of large vessels (stent to open, by-pass) is not the major cause of heart attacks, but the blockage of the smaller undetected vessels are morfe likely to cause an MI. Standard tests look for blockages that affect blood flow in the large coronary arteries. However, these tests can't detect plaque that forms, scatters, or builds up in the smallest coronary arteries.
Avatar m tn I can think of few common causes related to the heart, so if you are pursuing the idea that it is heart related, I would not rule out an uncommon cause. As a mere arrhythmia patient, I am ill-equipped to deal with the diagnosis of something out of the ordinary (although there are other among us here whose ideas have really shined in the past). As for a potential common arrhythmia issue, the only thing that comes to mind is some type of paroxysm of tachycardia.
Avatar n tn Heart attacks are very common in women and does not always present with chest pain which is why some women do not even realize they are in danger. Please have her checked out. Keep me posted on how she is doing.
Avatar m tn I'm not a doctor, but I understand people can be having a heart attack and still have a normal or near normal blood pressure. Heart attacks in women don't always include the same/typical symptoms as they do in men. Also, it's fairly common in women that symptoms of a heart attack come and go--so just because the clear up doesn't mean you're not having a heart attack. Better safe than sorry, right? I would seek medical attention immediately. First, take a 325 mg.
Avatar f tn I had panic attacks about 20 years ago when I worked with all women who smoked some of them chained smoked and I put it down to secondary smoke my thyroid was perfect at the time but also my job was so stressful our boss used to come in every morning and say there were too many women working and as such that was unproductive hours (worked for a construction company where 99% were men) and that one of us would have to go and he would stand there looking at us as if he was trying to decide which o
Avatar f tn He has recently landed back in the hospital with minor heart attacks. He has been having pain ever since the bypass and has to take a nitro pill to ease it. His Dr did a heart cath yesterday and it shows no signs of blockage. They are currently doing blood test, but have no answer as to why he is still having so much pain and pressure. My question is: If there is no blockage, could the heart have been damaged permanently and can something be done to help it and stop the attacks?
Avatar f tn doctors think My mom had a mini stroke at age 45, my grandmother on my moms side had diabetes and two heart attacks..last one killed her. My dad had a two heart attacks in his 50's, survived both. all are smokers and obese. My sister had healthy no complications in her pregnancy.
Avatar m tn With my panic attacks comes heart palpitations but they always come and go with the attacks. I am a 29 year old male and live a pretty lazy lifestyle. 5 days ago I started having palpitations everyday all day. I have been to the hospital and they caught some on an ECG. I will be getting my holter tomorrow. I am just worried that I will drop dead. Is this possible? Can my heart just stop? I am not dizzy or sweating (except from the gd heat!) Should I write my will?
Avatar n tn This also could potentially be the initial signs of a heart attack. Heart attacks are the number 1 killer of women. Make an appointment and go to your doctor immediately and have all of the appropriate tests done. Again, this is very serious. A relative of mine whom was a previous smoker had the same symptoms and she went to the doctor and they said that she was very close to having a heart attack. Goodluck...
1194973 tn?1385503904 Is it possible to just get a anxiety attack out of nowhere? It's weird what I get and I'm not even sure if they are anxiety attacks. My chest starts to hurt really bad and it's like a stabbing pain, and I feel like I can't breathe. Whenever I try to it feels like there's huge bands around my chest that prevent me from taking in a breath. I also start to hyperventilate and shake and just overall feel weak--like I'm getting over a flu.
Avatar f tn Sometimes things can mimic things and sometimes they are the real thing. Women having heart attacks can experience shoulder pain or back or stomach pain. I say get the serious ruled out asap, then you can move down the line. I wish you well.
1570981 tn?1295831355 ve done couple of ECG, blood test, urine test, they say my heart are okay, but i still get all the heart attacks symptom. Im losing my mind, just to think of what might happen to me.
Avatar f tn If you have a lot of anxiety and panik attacks , it's likely not the lack of thyroid which causes it , but rather your adrenals ( lack of cortisol ) which are not in a good shape . Susanne http://www.geocities.
12313690 tn?1424621402 You definitely want to get a 24 hour urine analysist to see if you lose electrlyes too fast which causes many heart symptoms.also want to say my daughter, who was treated at NIH had dysautonomia symptoms since early childhood, the first being heat, exercise hives.Later they got worse with her body temperture crashing in an overreaction and she would go hypothermic.
447939 tn?1235061943 Many people have silent heart attacks and continue to live. My Dad had 4 heart attacks and continued to live. The key is how badly damaged is the heart from the heart attack. Usually an angiogram is used to find narrowings and blockages in the vessels.
