Avatar f tn I live in a very rural town in NW PA. and wonder what the rate of hiv is in rural america. Is this somewhere that you would consider a high risk area for heterosexual transmission of hiv? Is there a web site that talks about hiv in rural america or that gives the numbers?
Avatar m tn This is what she said to me (the pain is so grate that I cant move, I feel the blood sudenly stop and then the pain comes, the pain is right on top of my heart, but this time it was strange the pain felt right bellow my heart) the thing about this is that she has had it since she was 17, and she gets these maybe a maximum of around 3 times per year and the attacks las around 1 to maybe 3 seconds. Question is ¿ Dose the heart have a reason to stop sudenly, then continue like this ??
Avatar f tn s heart rate is dropping to 36 beats per minute. During the day, he has more 2nd degree heart block than in the past, and his average heart rate is down. He gets as low as 40-50 beats per minute during the day, but was still able to reach 152 beats per minute when running. He has not yet shown 3rd degree heart block, and he doesn't seem to have symptoms during the day other than having a hard time waking up, and seeming crankier than usual. Here is my question.

Avatar n tn I am still having intermittent attacks of crushing pain in both arms, (biceps) which occur unpredictably but appear to be less often now, along with tingling in my fingers, maybe twice or three times per year. The attacks are very disabling and the muscles ache for a few days afterwards. My Doctor has no idea why I'm getting these pains. My heart is OK on an Excercise tolerance test. Any ideas?
Avatar m tn I am a 48 year old white male, and I have already had a total of 5 heart attacks (all within the last 5 tears). At first my doctoer thought it was due to my low HDL, as it has been lower that 28 for the last 5 years. But after my last attack, about 3 months ago, the doctors are now thinking that my body is trying to reject the 3 stents the have pkaced in me. This last attack was pretty serious, and we are planning to have a defibri;ator implanted later this month.
Avatar n tn To add: I tour North America as a guitarist for the better part of each year, and I find it amusing/irritating that I can play and be in front of upwards of 500 people per show and be fine, but I can't take a girl to dinner.
Avatar f tn i was totally convinced i was having heart attacks, but doctor said it was panic attacks. sure cannot tell the difference when it is happening.
Avatar n tn I am prescribed 10 mg Valium which takes the edge off but will not slow my heart rate below 110-115 and blood pressure will decrease some but still remains at higher levels. In between attacks, my resting heart rate is still higher than normal (115-125). My doctor suspected that it may not be an anxiety disorder and that I may have hyperthyroidism. I received blood work, and my TSH was normal and T4 only slightly high (likely due to being on birth control pills).

Avatar n tn I have had some freak crazy things happen to me both in Japan and back in America. In Japan I had that incident where someone slipped something in my drink. Here, just a few days ago, I was out at a bar with the people from work. I was outside wanting a cig, and ran out. I bummed one off of a guy from work, and then started freaking out later in the night and had to go home. The next day the dude said he dipped those cigarrettes in embalming fluid.

Avatar m tn If a person has no underlying health conditions such as a heart disease but has a severe panic attack which jumps his or her heart rates up to 180 BPM from 80 BPM within seconds, could this sudden, unexpected change in heart rate and/or the adrenaline rush itself kill you? I have read that 200k+ people die per year from sudden death syndrome. If so, what are the chances of this happening to someone with frequent panic attacks?

Avatar n tn You may be managing with a 67 per cent occlusion, but this situation is likely to worsen. My had two abortive heart attacks which involved a greater occlusion. He went to IV chelation and it was almost 15 years before his coronary arteries started to clog again. He did not get chelation in time and had a mild heart attack. Then he went for chelation.
Avatar f tn When my mother would get heart attacks her only symptoms was out of breath. Her brother had what he thought was a flu for a couple of weeks, and then had a sudden fatal heart attack at the age of 31. He died of severe coronary artery disease per autopsy. I, too, get chest pains and find now that if I take a 81mg low dose aspirin a day it really helps eliminate the chest pains. I have been getting chest pains for 9 years and have had the usual of heart tests and nothing was found.
Avatar n tn Anna, have you tried asking in the heart rhythm forums? it deals specifically with issues related to what it appears you're having.
Avatar m tn Is you heart rate too high, can you give a number in beats-per-second? Is the heart rate irregular, do the beats feel like they have different strengths.(pounding)? Other feelings you can describe? Emotions can cause the heart rhythm to behave badly. In this case the heart isn't the problem.

268911 tn?1213744781 Wheat farmers now get 3 acres of yield from 1 acre of land. Dairy cows now give 3 years worth of milk in just one year and we wonder why America is sick from problems such as anxiety, ADD, ADHD, and all kinds of intestinal problems like I have. Stress does not help either. Anyway....I would be interested in knowing if any of you have changed your diet alone and noticed improvement. Also..what kinds of foods did you eat? Peace out.
Avatar n tn I am in good shape. I run 2 - 3x per week for 3 - 5 miles, weight training 2x per week, and boxing and wrestling for 90min 4x per week. I take Zantac for acid reflux and Adderall XR for concentration and memory retention. I eat very well, don't smoke, don't drink. I have been living my life this specific way for about 8 months and my heart rate when doing any strenuous exercise is at 200-205 BPM. Within 2 minutes of running until I am finished it beats that fast.

The Congressional Budget Office estimates that the 2012 budget will finish $1.1 trillion in the red.
