Avatar n tn t until I was 17, which had no affect on me as a woman (I had two healthy pregnancies and two healthy babies) The way you talk she seems very healthy. Does she seem to have an eating issue to you?? Is she fatigued often or seem like she has low energy?? Were you or your husband small at that age?? I personally would not get overly concerned if she isn't showing any signs like the ones I asked above. I would wait to see what the pediatrican has to say.
Avatar m tn In order to gain weight, you have to consume more calories (per day) than what your are burning. Thats why the calorie count on this app is really handy to help you know exactly where your up too. You can also buy a device ( so sorry I don't know what its called exactly) that you can wear around your wrist or body somewhere, & it tells you exactly how many calories you are burning & much more.
Avatar f tn I am looking for a way to gain healthy weight. I have crohns and it has depleted my weight the past 9 months. I am 5'2 @ 100lbs. My goa weight is 115 by September. Any ideas on how to increase my weight without drinking Boost or Ensure? I am trying to increase my calories to at least 2200 a day in hope that it will add some lbs to me.
Avatar f tn damn chick gain some weight im suprised that your not bolemic because thats an unhealthy weight
Avatar m tn Excessive fructose can lead to leptin resistance, which could cause weight gain if combined with a high fat and calorie diet. High levels of fructose can also raise blood pressure. Do write to us again. Best wishes and regards!

Limit your intake of sweets...like soda cookies candy...ect...You can go online and find healthy recipes healthy snacks so you can change it up and not get tired of the same food...best wishes to you...and of course your pregnant so do enjoy it and do spoil yourself too...
Avatar f tn I gained 30 kilos with my first and there wa s no health problems with either of us. This pregnancy to date i have list 8 kilos and still we are both happy and healthy. It's just a guideline don't worry about it to much as long as everything is fine it's no big deal, I'm sure if it weren't you'd have been told by ypur midwife/doctor of the concern.
Avatar f tn Calories have little to do with weight -- it's how you digest and metabolize what you're eating that determines weight gain from food. You could list your diet here, but you'd do better to see a holistic nutritionist to evaluate what you're eating in a more sophisticated way than mere calorie intake.
Avatar f tn Weight gain doesn't mean healthy baby nor is it bad.
Avatar n tn A healthy and regular meal is vital to gain or lose weight. Consuming more calories than you burn will help you in gaining weight. Try to gain weight in a healthy way. Eat lots of fruits and vegetables. Avoid foods like cookies, chips, aerated drinks .You can also do aerobic exercises or exercises which will help you gain muscle mass. The added muscle will increase your metabolism which in turn will lead to increased consumption of calories per day to maintain that weight.
Avatar f tn Oh man, you ladies hardly gained anything :'( lucky!! I was 118 pre pregnancy now I'm at 163lbs and I couldn't be more depressed about it. Hopefully I am able to lose it quick lol.
Avatar f tn As long as you are eating healthy and trying to be healthy as well don't stress about weight gain. My first pregnacy I gained 35+(I didn't track it that close). This pregnacy I feel like I am getting bigger and I am clearly pregnant (neighbors are starting to congratulate me in the apartment halls) but from my starting weight I have only gained 3 pounds. It can be super different for every person and every baby I am now learning!
Avatar f tn I'm 34 weeks and have gained 14 lbs. When you go to snack, eat fruit or veggies! I keep them stocked in the house so I can go crazy on the healthy stuff rather than going for pizza (though I want it so bad sometimes lol). Doc has told me I need to gain more weight, but it seems that even if I really try I can't. I keep eating all the healthy fats and whatnot but I'm not going to eat until I feel sick just cause doc wants to see me gain more.
Avatar f tn Eat healthy n regularly. Just try n fill ur plate with extra salad and vegetables with ur meals. Also have a high bran cereal for breakfast. Something like all bran or weetabix or something similar. Be careful with some cereals they can have a high sugar content. Also may be worth u walking more or getting some sort kf regular exercise. Helps u stay motivatrd and gives u lots more energy and helps u de stress too!
Avatar f tn I am 14 weeks and so disappointed in my weight gain. Before I found out I was pregnant, I lost 22lbs. I have gained 12. My first pregnancy, I delivered 9 lbs 11oz. I am plus size woman but healthy and don't want any complications. Any advice on what you've done to maintain weight to reduce too much weight gain? Someone tell I am not the only one out there. Thanks.
Avatar f tn Yes, please just eat sensibly and do easy workouts. Whatever weight you gain doing that is 100% healthy.
Avatar n tn As long as your doctor isn't worried about weight gain you will be fine I'm 32 weeks and have only gained 5 lbs but that's because I lost 15 lbs in the 1st tri.
Avatar f tn I'm 8w5d and gained 3 pounds and the app says I have excessive weight gain. My Dr. says i'm healthy so I focus on that.
Avatar f tn Is the babys head down? If it is why is she suggesting a c section. Its normal to gain weight as long as you're healthy and the baby is healthy. This is my third baby and i gained 60 pounds so far and im 35+3 but doc said as long as the baby's head is down and no pressure im good.
Avatar f tn I'm 20w+1 and have only gained 11lbs after dropping 15.. So I am still regaining what I lost just slowly. Most women in a healthy weight range gain anywhere from 25-40lbs. However I don't stress over weight gain. As long as you and baby are healthy its all good!! Plus a friend of mine who is 37 weeks didn't start gaining till around 32. Don't stress! Just make sure you keep eating well.
Avatar f tn I was overweight as well and was so scared to gain weight and not fit into any clothes. The doc told me not to gain or lose any weight because she didn't want me to get high blood pressure or gestational diabetes. So I tried my best to eat super healthy. The first trimester I actually lost like 10 lbs and then the whole pregnancy I stayed the same weight. I started worrying at the end of my pregnancy because I wasn't showing much.
Avatar n tn t forget most of your weight is gained in your 3rd trimester so try not to gain loads as this increases the risk of gestational diabetes and does your baby no good! Pregnancy is not an excuse to get over weight on purpose! Eat nice healthy salads and vegetables with the occasional treat!
499554 tn?1257088276 You need to eat if you are hungry, just make healthy choices. Unless the extra weight gain is beginning to cause you problems with the pregnancy then I wouldn't worry too much. Your body is taking care of itself and doing what it needs to do.
Avatar f tn Yes its okay as long as your baby is healthy and growing i didn't start gaining weight until 23 weeks
Avatar f tn I just weight myself as i didnt think id put that much weight on. i honestly didnt think i looked big but accordig to my scales ive gained nearly 30lbs.
