Common Questions and Answers about Healthy weight chart vs height

weight

1938479 tn?1325705620 If Arnold Schwarzenegger was to use a BMI (weight vs height) chart while bodybuilding, it would have classified him as obese. Another way to look at fat versus muscles is that a cubic inch of muscle will weigh more than a cubic inch of fat. Muscle is about 18 percent more dense than fat. So a better question is am I in shape or do i need to convert more areas of fat to muscle? With that said, here is a weight chart that should only be used to give you an idea, so don't take it as gospel.
676912 tn?1332812551 s always been a monster, he was never below 90% for height and always above 50% for weight, mostly above 95% and 75% for height/weight. Aubryana is right now the same size Elijah was at 4 months and she's almost 9 months. Do I just have a little baby girl, or is she gonna start growing more as she gets older? I'm so used to Mr Giant.
2095187 tn?1333091434 5 years, if you look at the chart, you are still considered average height for a girl. So I would not worry, you are healthy according to the chart. If you are 13, then you are still growing, and will be taller than the average girl by the time you're 18 years old.
Avatar n tn No!!! I am 16 as well and though I don't know you, I know what you're going through (to a certain extent) I'm 5'9" and I weigh 180. Technically, I'm only partially overweight, according to the BMI chart. Anyway, I've had friends your height who weighed 90 pounds, and they get sick very easily, and when they get sick, it's bad. Your body will start to shut down because it cannot support itself. The average weight for your height is at least 110. At the very least.
Avatar n tn I am 41year old ,my height 5.9inches and weight 80kg.please suggest diet chart.
Avatar n tn If you want to gain weight then you should try to gain weight in a healthy way. A healthy and regular meal is vital to gain or lose weight. Consuming more calories than you burn will help in gaining weight. Try to gain weight in a healthy and steady way. Eat lots of fruits and vegetables. You may consult a nutritionist and get a diet chart made which will provide you with adequate calories in a healthy way. There can be many causes which can prevent a person from gaining weight.
Avatar f tn Her weight is on the 90th percentile; however, her height is below the 3rd percentile for her age. She has a very small stature so in turn her weight appears very high. Her needs increase as she grows and then levels off after she stops growing (after 18 years old). For a 4-6 year old they need approximately 1700-1800 calories a day. If you are concerned about her weight then it is recommended to increase children's physical activities.
Avatar f tn That depends on your frame size, as well as your age. Your frame size is how large your bones are. Here's a bit of height weight chart, that pertains to your height, but only if you are an adult female. If you're not an adult, the figures would be different.
1194973 tn?1385503904 When it comes to percentiles, is it bad for a child to be in the lower end? Kylie is showing to be in the 5th percentile and lower for height, weight and head circumference. I'm really nervous about if she is growing properly or not. At birth she was in the 50-75th for height and 25th for weight. Should it drop like that? The doctor didn't seem worried, but I'm not sure. She is 8 pounds 4 ounces and was 6 pounds 12 ounces at birth. She's still 20 inches long.
Avatar f tn Well, there is something called BMI which you can look up. You plug in your height and current weight and it gives you your BMI. There is a healthy range to shoot for if your BMI is too high or too short and it will tell you that weight range that is best for you.
Avatar n tn Your daughter eats very healthy and she is very active. Her weight is on the 10th percentile and her height is between the 50-75th percentile for her age (This is based on 13 years old due to becoming that age in 30 days). Her weight is still on the growth chart which is good. If her height was based on adult measurements she would need to gain that much weight, however, she is still a child and should be having her weight and height charted on the growth charts.
Avatar f tn With my oldest I was 15 pounds under weight when I got pregnant so my 20 pounds weight gain by 4 months was healthy. With my second I was at a good weight when I started. With this one I never lost all my baby weight from last year so I lost weight before I started gaining.
676912 tn?1332812551 I was 25/25% for weight/height as a baby and turned into a healthy, if short, adult. And Kahlan is 25/87 for weight/height, and only gained A POUND over the last year, but the doctor wasn't worried.....just like Elijah though, Grey is massive at 60/96 for weight/height... it's all about metabolism, body type, and yes - I do think gender plays a role. If she's developing normally and not losing weight, she should be fine...
Avatar f tn Height Small Frame Medium Frame Large Frame 5'9" 129-142 139-153 149-170 As you can see, you're already borderline underweight, if you have a small frame, and severely underweight if you have a large frame. Chocolate is actually good for you; opt for the dark chocolate, rather than milk chocolate, which is full of sugar.

377493 tn?1356502149 32 inches tall, and about 24 lbs. His weight is more explainable given the lengthy rotavirus, but the height is concerning. My husband and I are both about 6', so it seems odd he would be short. I was under the impression he was tall until I read up on average heights for his age. He does see his Pediatrician fairly regularly and she hasn't expressed concern as he was following and even increasing his curve, but I still worry.
Avatar f tn My weight is 80kg and height is 5feet4.5 inches. How much weight should I have and what to eat or not for loosing weight and which exercise should do?
1107486 tn?1258400832 At 5'7" and 120 pounds, you are currently underweight and I would not advise losing any more. I've copied a portion of a height/weight chart that pertains to you: Height Small Frame Medium Frame Large Frame 5'7" 123-136 133-147 143-163 You would do well to maintain where you are and continue with regular exercise and healthy eating.
338963 tn?1253660822 http://www.disabled-world.com/artman/publish/height-weight-teens.shtml Looks like your baby is just fine. Don't mind that it's on a disabled website. It's the only chart I could find!
Avatar n tn Hi, my husband's height is 5'11", 32 years old and his weight is 107kg. Will you please suggest a complete effective diet chart and a exercise routine to loose at least 7 kg within a month. He has to work a lot. So only one hour he can spend on his exercise time. So what will be the effective exercises on that one hour. And please again suggest a complete diet chart and routine of the whole day meal.
Avatar f tn But I am the same height and weight and I think that I am at the perfect weight. I would like to lose maybe five more pounds but nothing too drastic because I am a woman that has curves.
1149046 tn?1264361586 For your height, you are just about perfect weight. Losing 20 pounds would put almost in the "underweight" category. I would not advise doing that. Here's part of a height/weight chart that applies to YOU.
