20790871 tn?1507161421 I am a healthy 20 year old female. I am a former collegiate long-distance runner; I stopped running competitively a few months ago, but still run and workout regularly. I noticed that shortly after I started college (2 years ago), my hair stopped growing completely. It used to be long and thick, but over the past couple years it has become very thin and damaged and simply doesn't grow. In addition to this, I have also been getting acne on my jaw and neck-which I didn't use to get.
Avatar m tn Hey, I'm currently at a healthy 13.5% body fat but I'm an athlete so I'm really trying to drop that down to under 10%. I've been doing High Intensity Interval Training (HIIT) in between weight lifting days and eating primarily proteins, healthy fats, and a small amount of carbs for breakfast and after excersise. I'm trying to lose as much fat as possible in the next two weeks.
Avatar n tn Is it normal to not want to eat after exercising? I always feel sick after I exercise and I just don't feel the need to eat until about two hours later. I just don't feel it's healthy. I also almost never eat before. Is that bad too?
Avatar f tn Can I eat Cooked rice mixed with cucumber and carrots and string beans and snow peas with sesame oil and soy bean paste and eat kimchi with it.

Avatar m tn I am a 21 year old very healthy athlete. i recently had an ECG which showed abnormalities. It is probable that I have LVH with a secondary re polarization abnormality. It also showed an "unknown rhythm/irregular rate". I have normal/healthy blood pressure, and tests with a stethoscope performed by my doctor examining my chest showed there are no obvious problems. I have been referred to a heart specialist for an echo, ETT (stress) and 24 hour tape.
Avatar f tn So I read youre not suppose to eat cold lunch meat. But I hate warm/hot lunch meat. I went to subway and got a sub that had meat on it (obviously lol) but I didnt get it toasted or anything. So my question is does cold lunch meat really hurt your baby . My mom said she ate it with both her pregnancies and were both fine!
Avatar f tn And just one other thing -- be careful of prepared gluten-free products on the shelf. Read labels. Most contain a lot of sugar and unhealthy fillers and binders to hold them together and artificial flavors and colors and all the things to avoid if you want to be healthy. The gluten-free section of stores is, unfortunately, often the least healthy place to shop. But it is very easy to make one's own healthy food, you just have to learn to eat staples other than wheat, for the most part.

973741 tn?1342342773 m coming down on the side of hydration and electrolytes being more important in those activities than food provided they ate well at breakfast and lunch. So how serious of athletes are they? Do they have coaches who played seriously and therefore would have been coached up by nutritionists (all serious athletes have nutritionists nowadays)? I know what older athletes would do -- take supplements and drugs that speed them up. Not so good for kids.
Avatar f tn Make sure you eat protein for breakfast and have protein with your lunch. Make a salad the night before and pack each ingredient individually in your lunch bag, so they don't wilt (or mix the veggies and keep the dressing separate)... then just grab your bag and go the next morning...For protein, you can include a 3 oz can of tuna (leave sealed until time to eat), chunked chicken or turkey, cheese, etc.

Avatar f tn I personally say to each their own. I'm 37 weeks and have had a very healthy and successful pregnancy. My baby is perfectly healthy and I've eaten lunch meat and even drink coffee and soda. Eat what you think is right for your pregnancy.
Avatar m tn A slow heart rate is sometimes normal and can be a sign of being very fit. Healthy young adults and athletes often have heart rates of less than 60 beats a minute. In other people, bradycardia is a sign of a problem with the heart’s electrical system . It means that the heart's natural pacemaker is not working right or that the electrical pathways of the heart are disrupted.
3178444 tn?1348441829 I still eat it and im 33+5 with a healthy baby boy and im as healthy as can be to!
Avatar f tn So I find having a good start makes me more likely to eat healthy the rest of the day too...I make my lunch into a salad - like I would pick on leftover chicken and a few olives for lunch and binge on chocolate soon after whereas now I will dump all of that (minus chocolate) into a bowl with baby spinach and rocket and grate a carrot into it and add dressing and cheese. Then I only need a tea to get me by in the afternoon instead of chocolate.
2020005 tn?1628125976 I can do great exercising, I really push myself to get it done, my down fall is seriously eating healthy. I can eat healthy all day long, then at the end of the day cave completely. I can't let myself ignore my hunger breastfeeding or my supply will completely diminish. I've been eating a good breakfast, good lunch, a snack between lunch and dinner, and then dinner, and a snack later on. I'm having SUCH a hard time eating healthily.
Avatar n tn Keep eating healthy food, just add another meal. But I would combine this with weight lifting, as it will turn the extra weight into muscle instead of fat. Being lean, after all, is very healthy.
Avatar f tn I eat lunch meat a lot and both the baby and i are healthy!! The further you get along id say warm it up so it steams. Than its for sure safe. That's what my ob/gyn said! Good luck!!!

Avatar f tn I make it the night before and its really easy, and I know that my girls are eating a healthy good quality lunch everyday. They even take salad sometimes, I just pack the lettuce in a tupperware bowel, and then have a small baggy with toppings (raisins/croutons ect) and a small plastic container with some dressing.
Avatar f tn Hello! I am a preschool teacher and I currently work 4 ten hour days a week. My husband and I meet for lunch so I can avoid the temptation for fast food or things I don't need to eat. However, I am looking for some new ideas for snacks to eat during the day. I eat several snacks throughout the day and I get bored quickly. Any ideas to put into my snack rotation? I do have small fridge to keep cold food in, if you have ideas that need refrigerated. Thanks!
