Avatar n tn I am a ftm and would like to know how do you go about getting the baby's insurance? Do you pay a separate insurence premium? Or you add the baby to your insurance? How much more would the insurence cost approximately? I don't get any help or medicaid I currently have United healthcare in the state of New jersey. Please advice, I tried to find out thru my insurance but they won't give me any info or price until the baby is born.
927707 tn?1244133034 I live in New Jersey and my husband and I need affordable health insurance. He owns his own business and we are paying close to $900 dollars a month for doctor visits, hospital, prescriptions, laboratory, diagnostics etc. We currently have United Health Care/ Oxford. We did have Cobra when I left my job, but that was too expensive $1300.00/ month. With our Cobra we didn't need referrals, but with Oxford we need referrals. Our copay is $30.00 for doctor visits and $50.00 for specialist.

Avatar f tn I have heard that if you live in New Jersey, the health insurance employers offer is required to carry this kind of coverage. It's the only place I've ever heard anyone anecdotally comment that they got coverage for IVF. Good luck finding it.

Avatar n tn I need to talk to either a psychologist or psychiatrist in central New Jersey. Although I have medical insurance at work it does not cover mental health. I was diagnosed with severe depression and borderline personalty disorder back in 2006. Since then I have been holding on but the last few weeks have been to much to bare. Thoughts of suicide and cutting have entered my mind but I have held that off obviously. Does anyone know if there is someone I can talk to for free regarding my needs?
6927110 tn?1393318669 The first thing you do is start looking for a dr with the new insurance. Once you have your dr picked out ask for your medical records that way on your first visit new dr is on the same page and has a plan for you and baby boy. Register to a hospital that corresponds to new insurance as with Kaiser we didn't have to do that. If you have any questions feel free to message me.
Avatar n tn I think it is available with some employers (not very many) and have heard anecdotally it is also available if you live in the state of New Jersey. Otherwise, good luck, we're all looking for that insurance.

Avatar m tn Healthy insurance is a bit costly. but hey, health is wealth. You should not take risk about your health before anything else. You can pay your health insurance premium with an installment loan.

Avatar f tn Hi Frrecks, I'm sorry that I don't know anything about the insurance, since we still have private insurance. It has to be so difficult to set aside the financial worries and concentrate on feeling better. I do know a lot of the DMD companies have programs to assist anyone without insurance. As for my private insurance cost, my employer just finished the open enrollment for next year and here is what I will be paying for my health insurance - $238.00 a month for me and my spouse.

Avatar f tn If you all don't mind me asking how many of you guys have medicaid ? And if you are from new jersey do you think I'll be accepted ? This will be my first child and I live with my husband... we don't make more then $3100 a month... :/ I can not afford insurance .... just very worried I won't get accepted :( I heard that they can't deny a pregnant women but then again I don't know what to expect. ..
Avatar f tn m not sure specifically about New Jersey. But I live in MD...and as far as I know all assistance programs are based on income. So because you are married it would be on your combined incomes. While your pregnant you should def be on Medicaid (it's the only health insurance I have currently and it covers just about everything), also WIC is a great program as well, while your pregnant and sometimes all the way up to the child being 5years old.
