Avatar f tn I don't believe that you will find a health insurance company that will take you on. They consider pregnancy a "pre-existing condition" an will not take you under ther plans. I am seven weeks pregnant and have called many comparable companies and no one will provide a plan. Your best bet is to either apply for Medicaid if you qualify or find a clinic/hospital that will do a sliding scale payment (match the amount you pay based on your income). Best of luck!
Avatar f tn By estimating the overall risk of healthcare expenses, a routine finance structure (such as a monthly premium or annual tax) can be developed, ensuring that money is available to pay for the healthcare benefits specified in the insurance agreement. Avatar f tn The only thing I liked about covered California is it helps you pay for your monthly payment for insurance. Instead of like 450 for insurance we would end up paying 163. But that depends on what company and what insurance you get. Btw the medical takes a lot longer now to process thanks to the healthcare reform so I say apply on time. It took me 3mos to find out I was denied for medical and now its too late for me to be covered by anything on my due date.
201379 tn?1319991331 ve heard Kaiser is pretty good for transplants because they will pay your way to centers in other states if you live in a high meld state. I have a friend in California who has been with them for years in California and he loves Kaiser. They have paid for him to treat three times and sent him to ucsf for his transplant.
1691275 tn?1322327507 I have been battling a slew of symptoms (fatigue, dizziness, vertigo, mental fogginess, depression, etc.) for over three months now, and after a head CT I was diagnosed with a severe maxillary sinus infection.

Avatar f tn I am afraid there are no good medical services available in your part of California. I have meet many person with liver disease in your area that were told that there was nothing that could be done for them or they should go to hospice. But then they found there way to the University of California San Francisco (UCSF) and the liver transplant center there saved there lives. I am a patient at UCSF and am waiting for a life saving transplant.

387294 tn?1207620185 My son and daughter may be looking for health insurance after they leave college and are no longer dependents. My daughter has been diagnosed with a bicuspid aortic heart valve. She has a healthy heart and it is working well. With this impact her chances to get health insurance on her own? Will it impact our ability to continue her insurance after the cobra period is over on our insurance?
Avatar f tn If you're in the USA than I believe by law, health insurance must cover pregnancy appointments and delivery. It doesn't matter if your on your parents insurance or not. Now, how much they pay could be iffy so you're best bet is to call or ask your mom to call. One thing to think about, grandchildren cannot be extended on to the grandparents health insurance most of the time.
Avatar f tn Oh gosh! That's so bad! I went to see about a sliding fee until I can reapply for Medicaid at this family health center but they said they don't offer discounts or financial assistance for pregnant women. I have never felt so discriminated against!!! But since I haven't seen a doctor in 2 months I'm gonna go schedule an ultrasound to check up in little bear and make sure he/she is doing okay! I can't afford to pay out of pocket.
Avatar f tn Hi Frrecks, I'm sorry that I don't know anything about the insurance, since we still have private insurance. It has to be so difficult to set aside the financial worries and concentrate on feeling better. I do know a lot of the DMD companies have programs to assist anyone without insurance. As for my private insurance cost, my employer just finished the open enrollment for next year and here is what I will be paying for my health insurance - $238.00 a month for me and my spouse.
