Avatar m tn willing: "marcia: yeah, you and Trish may laugh and think this is all pretty weird but you have no idea all the fun you're missing out on! Arguing with dr's assistants about who bills whom, with hospitals about what's been paid, with the insurance companies about what's covered, with your employer about which insurance company to switch to (not to mention arguing with everyone else about how to stop arguing about this).

Avatar f tn Like someone else said , the ONLY way to know how your insurance works and what is covered is to call your insurance and ask about your specific policy. I worked for a major health insurance company for years and the biggest mistake you can make is not calling them in advance. I also recommend finding out what options you have for permanent coverage for your baby.

Avatar m tn Hi, I was wondering if anybody could help me with a health insurance question? About a year ago Anthem Covered two separate visits to the doctors office that I had gone to. So initially they paid and I thought I was all set. Now, almost a year later, they retracted payment due to my coverage ending within days of the visits. I understand if I wasn't covered, but I am wondering how they can pay for it and then decide they were wrong and bill me a year later?

Are there any insurance companies that cover pre-existing conditions or some kind of program that helps with th costs? I'm getting so stressed I don't want to eat cup of noodles the rest o my pregnancy!
Avatar f tn No way! Call the mass health office. All pregnant women in ma without insurance are covered automatically, no questions. I had my insurance approved hours after I found out I was expecting. Just keep calling!
Avatar f tn Workers whose employers don’t offer coverage are forced to seek individual health insurance, often in vain. For one thing, insurance companies offering “nongroup” coverage generally refuse to cover anyone with a pre-existing medical condition. And individual insurance is very expensive, because insurers spend large sums weeding out “high-risk” applicants — that is, anyone who seems likely to actually need the insurance. So what should be done?
Avatar m tn Now I plan to emigrate to Asia and thus have to find me an international health care insurance; for me it is important that I will be accepted at my age(without prior examination),fair insurance-rates and conditions that don't allow the insurance-company to "throw you out" in case you got "too expensive" and refuse to renew the(annual)contract?

11294269 tn?1422402907 Something has got to give. Its just too much. The one job i cannot stand is the one that offers health insurance. I am planning to leave this job. As a single woman(i plan on getting married in the coming months), what are my options for health insurance? Im nervous and so unbelievably stressed. This whole "Affordable Healthcare Act" isn't very affordable. I went to the healthcare.gov website and for about $400/month I have to pay a $3000 deductible and get 50% coverage.
