Avatar n tn But, the trouble with supplements is that you can overdose very esily, unless used judiciously or prescribed by a doctor. For instance, Viatmin A and E are easily available from our daily food and being fat soluble, they get stored in our tissues and overdosing is very easy. I do not know, why the Companies are packing such easily availble vitamins along with some other difficult to get nutrients like zinc, omega3 or B12. So, while taking supplements, always do consult the doctor.

Even if you don't eat for hours, at least drink water to help wash away food particles and bacteria. In fact, people get "morning breath" because there's less saliva in their mouths during the night to wash away bacteria.
Avatar n tn If you could provide a height and weight, that would help. Also, let us know how much she eats and what kind of food she eats. Is she a sneak eater? Junk food binger? Take-out eater? And does obesity seem to run in the family on either side or both? Does she seem to eat the same amount as the skinny kid down the street and yet still gains weight? My oldest daughter was never a sneak eater, we rarely ever ate out, she would eat three square meals a day and not snack.
Avatar n tn The symptoms go more in favor of a gastrointestinal infection. You probably had a mild case of food poisoning with your system throwing out all the disagreeable stuff from your stomach. As a result your stomach became empty and since you did not eat enough the acid started adding to the nausea. Food poisoning is associated with diarrhea too at times, but not always. Take an OTC lactobacillus preparation and yoghurt with your meals. Drink plenty of fluids.
Avatar f tn I have read the book you reference, and my feeling is that the link between Hashi's and non-celiac gluten intolerance is theory as opposed to scientific proof. Also, improving your general health and nutrition is going to benefit your whole body.

So I think you should see a dr and have some tests done if this is an ongoing problem. If your just having this right now for the first time and it is low blood sugar you should have some juice and some complex carbs. If you feel better it probably was low blood sugar. But you should still see a dr.
