927707 tn?1244133034 I live in New Jersey and my husband and I need affordable health insurance. He owns his own business and we are paying close to $900 dollars a month for doctor visits, hospital, prescriptions, laboratory, diagnostics etc. We currently have United Health Care/ Oxford. We did have Cobra when I left my job, but that was too expensive $1300.00/ month. With our Cobra we didn't need referrals, but with Oxford we need referrals. Our copay is $30.00 for doctor visits and $50.00 for specialist.
Avatar m tn When it comes to your health, I recommend frequent doses of that rare commodity among Americans—common sense. Back of every creation, supporting it like an arch, is faith. Enthusiasm is nothing: it comes and goes. But if one believes, then miracles occur.
387294 tn?1207620185 My son and daughter may be looking for health insurance after they leave college and are no longer dependents. My daughter has been diagnosed with a bicuspid aortic heart valve. She has a healthy heart and it is working well. With this impact her chances to get health insurance on her own? Will it impact our ability to continue her insurance after the cobra period is over on our insurance?
Avatar m tn t able to get an actual quote for a health plan in my area; but generally speaking a short term health plan works if you need to cover yourself for 6 months or less for an unforeseen illness or accident. I recommend trying www.ehealthinsurance.com which will give you free quotes on both short term and standard health insurance plans in your area. They also have licensed agents who can provide you with expert assistance in case you run into any questions.

Avatar m tn I forgot, I once read somewhere someone believed theirs was associates with potatoes. They cut them out and hadn't had a flare since. I tried no potatoes for a couple months after this, no luck. The cause of HS is unknown. Some researchers have tried to link it to a few conditions (thyroid, RA, Chron's Etc), But like many sufferers I have none of these so this doesn't help.
Avatar n tn This could be causing the burps. The other reason could be due to esophageal reflux (GERD), where the food in your stomach is thrown up into your food pipe or esophagus. Another possibility is hiatal hernia, where a portion of stomach herniates into the chest cavity through the diaphragm. This causes acidity like symptoms and burps too. Treatment is a combination of drugs to reduce the acid and lifestyle changes.
Avatar f tn I take a multivitamin and Vitamin D. None really help MS but your over all health. MSers are not immune to other health problems. It makes life easier if you have few health problems. That is why I am big on a good diet and exercise. When I was first diagnosed I felt these were things I could control. My doctor says I am the healthiest MS and Cancer patient she has seen. No one would know I have either. I also do mindfulness meditation.
Avatar n tn s, but ruled that out since everything looks normal. i have extreme pain, bloating, cramping, loose stools, many food allergies. have had gastro probs for over 15 years, and have had lyme for 8 years, so had some probs prior to the lyme. have also had a few bleeding issues--gastro and menstrual. could lyme cause this, too? not many lyme patients complain of GI probs--just wondering if lyme could be the cause.
Avatar m tn In it he says one is usually clear of hpv if no sign of warts for 6 months. His colleague Dr Hook quotes as little as 3 months. Do any forum members agree/disaagree? They appear to be very eminent experts, but I am confused by differing opinions from others. Sorry if this is a bit old hat but would appreciate any advice.
Avatar f tn I thought long and hard about what I ate before my test and realized that I had been camping where the only food that we had to eat for two days was granola bars and salt water taffy. The person that was supposed to bring the real food never showed up. Anyway I looked on the box of the granola bars which I ate at least 6 to 10 and sure enough they each contain 1g of sugar alcohol. This has got to be the trigger for the false positive.
