Avatar n tn I am attending a conference in Cairo and spending a week in Egypt on a tour. Are there any vaccinations I should have prior to travel and is there anything in particular I should be wary of?
Avatar m tn //vir.sgmjournals.org/content/85/11/3173.full It shows through the reverse engineering of genotypes how Man has coexisted with this virus for the last 100,000 years or so.
1414174 tn?1304680526 This paper by Simmonds looks at the genetic diversity and evolution of the virus. It’s a bit lengthy, but pretty much on task for your question: http://vir.sgmjournals.org/cgi/content/full/85/11/3173 Dopey mammoths, hahaha :o)!
Avatar m tn not important nowadays, this is an old view and hbeag is not usefull anymore because hbsag quant is much better to follow evolution of infection hbeag is another antigen of hbv which suppresses immune system like hbsag.

Avatar m tn If two partners are clean, there is no chance for an STD. STDs cannot develop through the act of sexual intercourse alone. They are caused by viruses or bacteria which can be transmitted only by a person who is infected. So if you have sex with your monogamous boyfriend who has no STD, you cannot get an STD, so condoms are useless here - with regard to prevention from STDs. As for pregnancy, it can be a little bit more complicated as the pull-out technique is not 100 % safe, e.g.
Avatar f tn my doctor wants to cut the left back arm of the mesh near the sacriminous bone .she was at conference infrance and this is what they have done with success she has not done this in australia.could you tell me if you know if this has been done and what the sucess rate is.I just want to lead a normal life again .
572651 tn?1530999357 The presentations from the San Antonio conference are posted - they are power point presentations but I think most everyone here can follow the slides and understand the talks. Try this one on MRIs - especially look at slide #17 which gives the evolution of an MS lesion and what imaging technique makes it visible. http://www.mscare.org/cmsc/images/pdf/2010CMSC_CC2_Stone_MRIintheDiagnosis.pdf Please feel free to add other addresses on this site that you find useful ....
Avatar m tn doctors say normal range is 6-8 mm wide. we are very concerned about the babys health. what is the survival rate for babies with 30mm? is there any chance of the baby having a normal way of life? The doctors have said the baby measures to 25 weeks but the head measures to 30 weeks because of all the fluid in the brain. how often does this happen and are we looking at a high mortality rate?
Avatar n tn Agree. This is aesthetic and something really, our partners don't think much about. We can be sensitive about it but usually it's for nothing.
Avatar f tn It depends on the VD itself, seeing a MD is very important, you want to be able to have children in the future, so I would suggest a visit to the MD, doctors will know what to do for you and can give you meds to clear up the problem, also letting your sexual partners know is important, ask them to go to the MD also. Good luck!
Avatar f tn I have had this feeling for 4 days now of wanting to defecate all the time, which usually gets worse after a meal or snack and I have to actually go to defecate so as to reduce the pressure. I am 25 yrs old and became sexually active febuary of last year. has had two sexual partners, candidiasis, gonorrhea and PID that reoccured once. I once ahd this back and stomach pain after the reoccured PID had been treated, but the doctor said I am okey. what is wrong with me?
572651 tn?1530999357 We want to remind the BIL/PIL conference attendees that the new ideas they are exploring in health and health care, in the end, will matter more to patients than anyone else. Especially those living with chronic diseases for which there are few, if any, effective treatments or cures. So we had an idea.
Avatar f tn It's not so miraculous. HIV is not transmitted very efficiently, so often partners remain uninfected after months and years of sex. If your last test was at least 3 months since your last exposure, then it doesn't matter what your risk was: you don't have HIV.
Avatar n tn If you have any risk factors for hepatitis (IV drug use, multiple sexual partners, blood transfusion, etc), then it is probably worthwhile to be checked for hepatitis. Otherwise, have your doctor take a look at your medications to see if any of them could be causing it, but since they are only mildly elevated, you probably won't even need to stop the meds...the levels will just need to be followed to make sure they aren't getting worse.
6726276 tn?1421126668 Maybe bipolar is actually an ability, if given freedom can expand the horizons of intillectualization. Maybe our genetic evolution is the next link in evolution. Our minds can expand an link the many ideas together and see a bigger picture. Faith and physics seem to draw the bipolars attention, what higher pursuits are their? Wasn't sure what to write on this, so that's what came to mind in that sec!
Avatar m tn 3)Since the new generation tests have been introduced have their been any cases of people going past 6 to 8 weeks for HIV other than people on HIV antiviral drugs, PEP, chemo etc. I did read about a conference that had 300 doctors that specilized in HIV that didn't put there hand up to this question about people testing positive after 6-8weeks. It there anything in medical journals that you have read or heard of that might suggest some people have gone past this period of 6 to 8 weeks?.
148588 tn?1465778809 Goodlatte, Republican of Virginia and chairman of the House Judiciary Committee, announced that the House Republican Conference had approved the change. There was no advance notice or debate on the measure. The surprising vote came on the eve of the start of a new session of Congress, where emboldened Republicans are ready to push an ambitious agenda on everything from health care to infrastructure, issues that will be the subject of intense lobbying from corporate interests.
Avatar f tn Thank you. I will call my family doctor who ordered the monitor Monday morning. I would so very much appreciate if you can find out from your tech support just what this eVolution event monitor is up to. I'm actually beginnng to resent the little beastie for not give up its secrets to me. *wicked grin* I was very surprised to have another event tonight. As on 29 July something was transmitted to a cardiologist in town. He did call. The event was over by the time he called.
