Avatar m tn These days internet just wants hits or money from people and drs that give clean bill of health over net. Yes I am worried because I have real strange symptoms. HIV does not care about 90 days. Teak I was told by lady at clinic that she has tested people rapid negative but they test positive via blood draw. What test and when I take that tell me you do not have it 100%? When a Dr pokes himself by accident they test out to a year!
Avatar f tn Does anyone have individual health insurance (not with an employer) that covers ANY part of infertility? I mean meds, IUI or IVF. Thanks!

927707 tn?1244133034 He owns his own business and we are paying close to $900 dollars a month for doctor visits, hospital, prescriptions, laboratory, diagnostics etc. We currently have United Health Care/ Oxford. We did have Cobra when I left my job, but that was too expensive $1300.00/ month. With our Cobra we didn't need referrals, but with Oxford we need referrals. Our copay is $30.00 for doctor visits and $50.00 for specialist. Can anyone suggest a Health Insurance co.
Avatar f tn If you do choose to go to seek out fertility testing and options, this is what I would recommend. First call your health insurance to see what they will cover. For instance mine only covers diagnostics, but no treatments (Clomid, IUI . . .) If you have to stay in network, you will be limited to those avail dr's - your insurance can also help with that. After you pick a dr, you can google them.
1427239 tn?1282924645 If you insurance is not greatly limited as noted above, f/u with member services you may need the doc to provide additional documentation for coverage. Welcome to the forum, that's lots of great information here to help guide you.

Avatar m tn Your HIV risk does not exist since your exposure was limited to oral contact, protected and unprotected. However other STD's, it is possible to contract some of them, from unprotected oral exposure. Suggest you to see your doctor and seek clinical help to address your issues, particularly painful urination.
Avatar f tn Once we have this information we can decide weather or not to proceed further with more advanced diagnostics. Unfortunately xrays are not very effective at evaluating the brain. That would require advanced diagnostics like an EEG and/or an MRI/ Catscan. These may or may not be necessary based on the results of the physical exam and blood tests. Hope this helps.
Avatar f tn I have had severe pain and limited range of motion in the MCP joint of my right thumb for several months. I do not remember injuring it, and have been conservative with activities that may aggrivate it (ie texting). Finally went to a doctor and he told me it was a form of tendonitis (that interestingly enough, after some research, affects the basal joint and not the MCP joint). He gave me topical steroids and that was all. I went back later and he splinted it.
Avatar m tn m trying to find some help for my 66 year old father whose health is degrading rapidly. Here are his issues that I was able to collect. He is very tired and seems to be ready to give up. Any guidance would be appreciated. - he has spinal stenosis. - has major fluid retention in legs and feet. - no feeling in lower portions of feet (seems to be nerve issue and not circulation related) - morbidly obese (6 feet tall and 350 lbs) - extremely limited mobility.
Avatar f tn 16 year old severely autistic boy with significant bloated belly causing significant pain (including self injury) and anxiety (non-stop panting). Comprehensive diagnostics including endoscopies, colonoscopies, biopsies and labs (blood and stool) yield no reason, other than limited gut motility and chronic constipation. Rxs, dietary and biomedical interventions ineffective. NG tube cleanse outs are effective but last only 2 days before bloating returns.

Avatar f tn At 8 weeks I tested hiv non reactive on an EIA AB test ordered through www.advancedtestingcenter.com as well as a DNA qualitative PCR test. The website sent to a quest diagnostics blood drawing location which shipped my sample to labs in texas and shipped the PCR sample to focus diagnostics. I was told by focus that they are owned by quest. My questions are: are these websites and labs reputable. Also I've experienced a piimple like problem around my back. Evenly scattered.

Avatar f tn If you are speaking of the Atenolol, a beta blocker, I claim it has no effect on stroke mitigation, other than to the extent that it stops any episodes of AFib. From what you say your AFib isn't causing you athletic activities any problems. That suggests to me that includes you resting HR is reasonable as well as your exercise HR. All this being the case and if your BP is also in a good range I'd say I'd be inclined not to take the BB.
