hie please I'd like to know the type of HIV testing they use in Zimbabwe and also its window period
Most everything lasts a while past expiration before deterioration, including food. Expiration dates have a margin of safety built in. That being said, the above is true, but vitamins usually have way more that anyone needs in them so a little deterioration in potency isn't that big a deal depending on why you're taking them. After all, much of them just goes down the toilet anyway, so again, a margin of safety is built in there, too.

The nurse who did my last test told me that the window period in Zimbabwe stretches to 12 months and said I should retest at 6 months. But reading on this forum and Dr Tan Forum they said 12 week test are conclusive. Am really confused so as to take another test since the first 3 months was like living in hell. My question 1) is window period differs country by country 2) are all my test conclusive.
On the 16th of december 2012 we went out and at first i ejaculated outside.i inSERTED my penis and ejaculate just after about 30 seconds.I later wore a condom then we lasted about 3 minutes.She is a girlfriend…………. and listen I have a wife.After about 5 days she called me and told me she was positive.I went for tests on the 31st of december and was negative.i didnt have the guts to tell my wife but was lucky to use protection till she had her contraception ready.
Hie, I feel awful to say this but l committed one silly mistake when l recently travelled to Zimbabwe in Africa on a UN mission. I have a couple of friends l made in Zimbabwe and we had a night out at a bar and brothel in Harare 3 days ago. I had a couple of drinks and l danced with a prostitute. We went to the back rooms and l started to finger her. I usually bite my nails. I fingered her and then she got a condom and put it on me.
A friend in Zimbabwe where i used to work has written to me saying she has lost her voice for 5 months.
She has seen several ENT docs and says shes taken every med.
She had her tonsils removed 4 years ago after histoplasmosis. Shes HIV+ since birth and 22 years old. Its well controlled with no other immune problems.
Any suggestions?

In January I was tested at a NewStart center in Zimbabwe and was told that my results were conclusive,while my Dr in South Africa asked me to test after 6 months.I went back to zimbabwe in April and tested at the same center (6months) but was told because of my oral infection i should test prograssively after ever three months.
I have had sex with 7 different male partners here in the last 3.5 months, and have been with each of these partners from one to three times each. Of these partners, 4 were from South Africa, 1 from Zimbabwe, 1 from France, and one is from Ghana, though all are staying in SA. Many of these men I believe to have frequent safe sex but do not have steady partners. Most encounters included some combination of digital penetration, oral sex, or protected vaginal intercourse.
I am happy that you have not had any reactions after a year, and I hope that my daughter will be the same. I am more aware that you have to take your and your families health in your own hands and research everything before allowing them to inject them/you with something that has not had a lot of studying. I will be more careful in the future. Thanks again for commenting.

So what do you do? Well if you don't know your partner - then it's an implied risk in general don't you think? You either accept it and do what you can to keep it minimal or you don't engage in it.
Four months ago I received a blow job from a lady I met in a pub in Zimbabwe. I stopped under 1 minute. since then the idea that I caught hiv plays in my mind. I have been reading the internet and the low risk factor makes me calculate the probability of an infection without getting the answer. I had rash on my shoulders after 2 months. A mild cough and pain in my feet which alternate to cold feeling. Tested diabetes and was fine. Scared of facing the job test. Please help.
my husband says i take spells of pointing my finger out and i move head up and down with mouth opening and shutting and lasts he says 2 to 3 mins.also my eyes r in a stare after i get over it i dont remember doing this.well i didnt think i done this i argue he was crazy.well while having dinner with 4 other people i did this all wittness it.so maybe iam.whats weird is i do same movements everytime i take the spells. iam scared what could this be??please help me know ty..
