Furthermore, I knew that as I was visiting there, I won't be able to go back (for several reasons - but mostly it doesn't "fit" anymore).

Avatar m tn I have had Chiari Malformation now since 2002. My doctor final after years was able to at least find out in 2006 what is really was and who to go to for help with it. Doctors in my area are scarce. I have had several MRI's and head and neck pain almost everyday. In the past 5 years I have many of the other symptoms of Chiari, like memory loss and not being able to think of the words I want to say and the numbness in my hands and feet. as well as many more things that I hate to deal with.

1965350 tn?1325714813 My head and neck twitch when I get surprised or nervous, or if I know people are looking at me. This doesn't help since my chemistry teacher put us into pairs and I was moved from my seat in the very back to the middle with most of the mean people behind me D:. I've read numerous blogs on this but as far as I know, no one has found an answer other than taking meds which would make things worse.
600857 tn?1230057770 Hi group, I've already been diagnosed with ovarian cancer and cervical cancer along with M/S. The pain I endure is tremendous, I don't know exactly what it's coming from, I go to Dr Nov 4, been waitin for test results and referrals. I'm afraid that it has spread. I have my faith, but I am not crazy either, I know how this cancer stuff works. Just unloading, no need to respond, I'm just up at 2am and don't know what else to do.
672839 tn?1305792947 To me, there are two types of groups, 1) Support and 2) Self Help. Support Groups are places to go and feel safe. Lead by others with medical conditions like ours, opinions are shared by all, and comfort is widely given while tears flow. The discussions are personal and individualized making this the place to be when your chin is on the ground. Self-Help groups relieve a different pain. In this setting professionals teach you the steps necessary to better yourself and your position.

Avatar n tn My Mun too was diagnosed with ov cancer stage iv and I got lots of support from this site - mainly from the brave women who have cancer themselves. It helped to listen to them to get an idea of how my mum may really feel because I felt that she was putting on a brave face for me, as most parents do for their children,.
Avatar f tn Having a horrid day. Headache's lasted the past 4 days. Entire body hurts. Plus my neck hurts and feels like it can't support the weight of my head. I feel like I'm falling apart. Saw the NS and he says my left side is hyper-reactive and I have tethered cord plus the chiari and syrinx. I guess I just need to hear that things can get better. NS sent me to ophthalmology and for a cine MRI. Those appointments aren't until mid May. Not sure how much I can handle.
