Avatar f tn In December, I started having terrible neck (like my head was too heavy for my body) and shoulder pain, along with headaches. Went to my chiropractor, who diagnosed me with Forward Head Posture. Avatar f tn In february 2011 I had to have neck surgery from c-3 to c-7 fusion on each disk and a plate with 7 screws. There was pain after the surgery and nerve damage in the neck and both shoulders and arms. I have not been able to work since then nor have I been able to do any of the things that I did before the accident. I tried everything that I was asked to try, therapy, stimulator, hot pads, nothing worked. For the last 6 months my pain level has increased.
Avatar f tn Atleast a year ago is when I noticed a neck lump and thought nothing of it being that maybe it was a swollen lymph node so time went on and the lump was forotten about. Recently moved back to the US and went to see my family doctor for a physical and then mentioned it to him. He prescribed antibiotics and said if it didnt go away then he wanted me to see a ENT specialist to have it biopsied. Also had blood work done and all was fine though low in B12 and D3.
Avatar f tn It is possible that these nodules are metastases from his base of the tongue cancer. The decision to give or not to give further cancer treatment/s will depend on a lot of things. Avatar m tn I am 33 and was diagnosed last week with Papillary Thyroid Cancer after a TT. The nodule on my right side was just under 3cm. They removed 24 lymph nodes and found cancer in all 24:( I am scheduled to undergo RAI on Sept 20, 2012. Then will have a full body scan a few days later. My question is- anyone else have such a large lymph node involvement? I know this is very treatable.
Avatar n tn Hi. The next thing to do is to look for the organ from where that squamous cell carcinoma might have originated. Primary liver cancers usually present with a histology of adenocarcinoma (not squamous cell carcinoma), so your mom's liver mass must have come from somewhere else. The most likely candidates would be the lungs, the head and neck area, and the uterine cervix. It's important to first determine the organ of origin so that treatment will be more focused.
506043 tn?1222294696 I have swelling in my Right supraclavicular lymph node---the surgeon found it during an exam for my thyroidectomy surgery consult. I am absolutely flipping out---it was bad enough to get the papillary carcinoma diagnosis...but the thought that it has spread??! How could this be? How could no one have found this until now and it's already in my lymph nodes. I have a sonogram of the neck scheduled for tomorrow---but what does it matter? It's not going to tell them if it's cancer!
Avatar f tn There are treatments available for advanced breast cancer and how her disease responds is an unknown. She should discuss treatment and prognosis with her doctor who can respond more specifically to her situation.
Avatar f tn Even though I was stage 1a i still had chemotherapy as was advised 6 treatments of carboplatin and paclitaxol , I was told that as my clear cell was from malignant endometriosis the prognosis is slightly better. Everybody with a diagnosis of cancer experiences all sorts of emotions and fear was my biggest one , I think the uncertainty and fear of the unknown is a natural reaction for all.

Avatar n tn Thank you. I know the answer cannot come from anyone on this bulletin board, it has to come from within and above. I guess I was just looking for some comfort! Actually, he is my father-in-law of 32 years and having to weigh this same decision in December with my own father, I think I was a little overwhelmed.
