626299 tn?1316707893 I am so sorry to hear of your news, I personally just went though the same thing with my Humana insurance, which is Medicare Part D. My monthly cost of Incivek is $16,000 , thats $48,000 for 3 months. I am not even going to go into Riba & Peg. However, this is who I contacted and got assistance with and they can help you too.
572651 tn?1530999357 A followup to this thread - last week while waiting to see my urogyno, the Pfizer rep came in and we started talking about these rebate/assistance programs. I asked her why they have become so prevalent in the last year or so. According to her, the drug mfgs. have always rebated this money out of their profits, but they gave it to the insurance companies, with the intent it would help to contain costs for the insured patient.

1831849 tn?1383228392 Laura, aka Lulu54 mentioned that there may be copay assistance programs available. I went to the Genentech website and found a wealth of information about assisatance for payments associated with many conditions. None of these were MS. I have a call in to them. but sustpecty that since Rituxan for MS is off label there is no program at Genentech. Does anyone know of any fiancial assistance programs for Rituxan?
Avatar m tn does anyone know of any copay assistance programs that would help with copayments .for my osteoarthritis?
Avatar f tn I'm on tecfidera and am on Biogen's copay assistance. I don't pay more than 10 for each refill. It was very very easy to join the copay assistance for me...
Avatar f tn I can barely afford my health insurance which will also increase in cost come 2012! I've tried for financial assistance and get denied. My drug copay is 50%!
200956 tn?1425591539 Yes the spec pharmacy was supposed to request assistance but never did, after weeks of waiting my Docs office complained and got immediate results. Upset1234 as far as I know CVS still covers Harvoni.
2047903 tn?1330187549 Shared Solutions (Copaxone), Biogen (Avonex and Tysabri) have drug assistance programs that vary . some are dependent on your income and some are not.
Avatar m tn I have Blue Cross/ Anthem insurance but have a 30% copay for the injections and 40% copay for the pills, which will be about $900 a month out of pocket expence. since this is a non elective tretment i dont have a choice but to get the treatment, but i do need help paying for it. Is there any kind of program that will help me offset the copay cost for this program?
6786733 tn?1384795749 Help! I've been prescribed PegIntron, Sovaldi and Riba and am scheduled to start tx on the 18th. Called the specialty pharmacy a few days ago to fill my scrips and was told my out-of-pocket cost would be over $1000 PER MONTH! Yeah. You read that correctly. Pause for reaction. After applying manufacturer coupons, the cost has been brought down to $620, which is still INSANE.
5987625 tn?1377887866 Does anyone know about any financial assistance programs? I'm in Arizona. My neurologist wants me to take Tecfidera and just found out that I'm not eligible to get the $10 copay because I'm on MEDICARE. Been on SS disability since 1992 and have take four of the injectables for MS. Had to stop all of them because of side effects.
1391695 tn?1298139789 Some insurance policies cover the riba under their Rx plan but put the IFN into major medical, sometimes requiring 30% copay. That happened to me, and while I paid the first time out of pocket, the second treatment I went through the mfgr’s patient assistance program; they paid for 100% of both meds, with no copay or deductible to meet. Also, these drugs often require prior authorization; sometimes that can take a week or more to arrange.
Avatar m tn if Rebif has been working you hate to make a change. There are very good patient assistance programs and like C wrote, they often bring the copay down to zero. I believe Rebif and Copaxone are about to fall off the list of drugs eligible for us in the UK on the NHS... they didn't feel the efficacy of the drug was worth the cost. One of the injectables fell off our formulary last year too, I think it might have been betaseron would no longer be covered.
Avatar f tn My copay is $100 a month but I applied for needs based copay assistance from the drug maker and they help me out. I realized it would be more expensive in the long run for me not to be on my DMD. Try not to dwell on costs at the beginning. I freaked myself out so bad I decided it was better for my family if I did not treat my MS. If you had cancer you would find a way. We have just as much right to health care as anyone.
Avatar f tn Yeah it would be nice wouldn't it? With Roche Patient Assist Program, if you qualify (based on family size and income) they pick up the entire cost and I don't have to worry about the copay from the insurance...it's wonderful and sure takes a load off of me. If I would have had to go thru the insurance and pay the copay there is no out of pocket max on meds that I know of. I would have to pay the $400 monthly regardless of how much it added up to be in the long run.
1057395 tn?1254367428 My first pegasys and ribaviron was ordered through a local pharmacy at $606 copay for the pegasys and $50 for the ribaviron. I looked on the blue cross blue shield web site and found I could have them sent to me through their preferred pharmacy for a $69 copay for pegasys and no copay for ribaviron. Hope my experience saves you a lot of money!! There's a number to call to get the fax number to give your doctor to send in the prescriptions. Welcome and good luck!
Avatar f tn Just to add Giliead pharma has be providing copay assistance so your copay would be just 5 dollars if you have applied for this with Giliead they have other support also you may want to visit their site. https://www.harvoni.com/support-and-savings/co-pay-coupon-registration?gclid=Cj0KCQjwyvXPBRD-ARIsAIeQeoGwAmTRV7zDZKKTTcjYh2WVswO7ySJ6vpO4-IUr92XCIul6QBfQXQUaAj1aEALw_wcB Best of luck hopefully you won’t have any issues getting approved.
Avatar f tn Now if you need the helper drugs, neupogen and procrit, they have no copays either so you will pay your highest copay -- if your insurance company will cover them. Procrit may have a generic but I am not sure if it will be your lowest copays. You, my copay, for example would be 40+60+60 and another 60+60 if I need the helpers per month. That is just the meds. When I treated, my doctor appointments and labs all came under another copay with the doctor.
Avatar f tn org) I know you can get help on the Oxycontin, (its a $20.00 copay) Provigil, and Prozac. The only med that is not covered is the Endocet. But if your Dr. is flexible OxyIR is available. Use must not have any pharmacy insurance and meet the income requirements to be qualified. I hope this helps. Let me know if you need any additional information.
905378 tn?1244854365 83 (crazy) we are trying to get assistance for this copay or to get her another medication that is cheaper and works as well. SHe has had great results with the Emend.
Avatar m tn wow, just got a call from my insurance company and they claim any money I would get from a grant or other sources, would go to pay for the cost of the drug, not my co-pay, even though it's suppose to be " Co-Pay Assistance".
