Hi all, So, here's the scoop. Last week, I had a lot of brown spotting after sex. When I went to the bathroom and wiped, there was pink/red blood. The next day, it all disappeared. We have not had sex since then but I know we probably will this week, and I'm worried that it's not healthy. I've spotted very light brown today and a couple days ago, which I know is common so I'm not worried.

I was told by my doctor that having sex and semen from the babys father decreases the chance of a miscarriage in the first trimester since it exposes the mom to a steady supply of the fathers dna so her body doesnt reject the embryo/fetus. Unless you're wife is told otherwise by your doctor I say go for it.

Blood tinge discharge after intercourse during pregnancy is quite normal. Don't get alarmed unless there is a significant amount of bleeding or if you begin expelling clots. I say inform your OB GYN at your next visit as well. CONGRATS AND GOOD LUK TO YOU!!!

As soon as i treated it the sex was fine again although it does still hurt a little because of the hormones making the vagina swell. Ask your doc about it and make sure you dont have a yeast infection. They are very common during pregnancy and i had no idea i even had one.

When I spotted and bled during my first pregnancy, the doctor advised us not to, so we did not. Definitely stick with what they say. If the situation improves, they may give you an all clear to go ahead as normal later on.

Your baby is totally fine. Sex is actually healthy during pregnancy. I'm 29 weeks N have sex every other day or so. Just make sure you're in a comfy position, don't lay on your tummy. Spooning position is most comfortable to me.

Towards the end of the pregnancy it does get a little more uncomfortable but if you find a position that is comfortable and you are careful you can still enjoy sex.
