Hello, The lumps that you are having under the jaw can be due to swollen lymph node but the lump on the chin looks like an infected hair follicle or a boil. Please keep the area clean and apply some topical antiseptics. Also use an antibacterial soap or mild soap like dove. Avoid any kind of cosmetics. Topical antibiotics such as mupirocin or neomycin containing ointment are also useful. In case the symptoms persist then oral antibiotics may be needed.
They don't seem like they CAN change size, I can pinch them under the skin and they are hard, like tiny hard...pebbles or something, they are very small, I think even smaller than BB's. I will up my water intake and see if this helps, because I admit, I don't drink much water.
I have two very small lumps under the floor of my lower jaw. They are just under the soft floor in front of the tounge and seem to be attatched to the gum/bone under my two front lower teeth. However I cannot see them as they are under the floor of my mouth, so I have only been able to feel them. What could this be? could it be dangerouse?
i have had a pea sized lump in the right side of my neck under my jaw for about 2 yrs now. about two weeks ago two more have arrived in the left of my neck, both rock hard and about the size of a pea. The one on the right now feels a bit bigger though so i am worried it is slowly growing. I also have a slightly bigger lump in my groin. They all move around if i touch them.
There's two hard lumps under my gums on both sides of my mouth, both are 4 teeth from the centre. The one on my right is almost twice the size as the one on the left. Both look white under the gums. I'm between dentists and am now looking for one. Is what I've described normal and I've just not noticed before or something else? The one on the right from a lamens point of view seems like a tooth.

They take around 24-48 hr to full come up they take about 1-2 weeks to go down leaving a small hard lump under the skin for many more weeks. The red skin which developes on the lump sheds off as dead skin. I have been perscribed endless antibiotics and am currently taking accutane for 16weeks 40mg a day, but nothing seems to be helping. I am wonder what the other options may be? Could it be an allergy or viral?
Hi, A few months ago I developed a hard lump right under my ear lobe, at the top of my jaw bone approximately 1/2 an inch wide. It is not painful, but it has an unpleasant inflammatory feeling like a numbness/tingling/itchiness that feels deep inside (not on the surface of the skin). It started with just a few days, but now it is constant. I have now developed another lump in my cheek, that I discovered just a week ago, and it has the same sensation. Any thoughts would be appreciated.
Yes, same thing in both sides of her neck at the base of her jaw (lymph nodes?) I'm guessing she's got quite an infection going on...
Hello everyone. About 8 months ago I first found a small hard lump in my neck under my jaw. I can't see it through my skin I can just feel it. I didn't think anything of it until about 2 months ago when I randomly was feeling my neck and felt that same lump again. Now due to my hypochondria, I am obsessed with this lump. It hasn't grown, at least not to my knowledge, since first finding it 8 months ago. I have been to two doctors within the past 2 months to ask them about it.

Hi, My husband is 42 yrs old, and 2 weeks ago noticed a FIRM (not rock hard) oval lump around 1.3cm by1.8cm behind his left ear. It's a hard place to explain,It is right in that soft spot directly under the earlobe, right up in the soft bit where the crease is right up near ear cartilage. Went to Doctors he said its not the paritod gland and he said alhough its firm, it moves slightly he said it was a cyst, he said its smooth and oval .
okay like a lot of people in here said i have a few hard flesh coloured lumps along the left side of my head. One directly behind the ear on the bone, two on the side of my neck and another slightly below the one on my ear bone. Im very concerned because they dont hurt to the touch it is just an uncomfortable feeling and i havent been sick lately. im not sure where to go from here. please help.! thank you.
I'm 26 and last nite felt a hard marble sized lump under my chin near my jaw. It hurts to touch and I can move it. I've had quite a bad cough this week so not sure if its because of that. Should I b worried?
It's not visible, and I only found it when I rubbed my face from fatigue. It's immovable, and very hard. Hurts when I put pressure on it. I think I read somewhere that it could be a swollen gland? I'm 18 years old, and am about to leave to Europe for about 10 days. What is it? What do I do? How is it treated?
i thought that was just behind my ears also goes all the way to the back of my skull on both sides its like really hard to describe what this is cause its not bumps but its not lumps its kinda like if a snake is under my skin that is the length an width of this thing but it ends in the middle on the cervical collar do u have to get a doc to give u one r can u but 1 somewere?
My mother is having a similar issue. I too think your "bumps" might be "Tori." I found a great website that was extremely informative. It is www.doctorspiller.com look under "sores, lumps & bumps." You might not have found info under Tori because the med name is: Torus Mandibularis. Hope this helps...until I found this website, I was a bit freaked out when my mother asked me to look into her mouth!
I think I know what you are talking about. I too have lumps, just under the ear behind my jaw bone. It was always a very tender spot for me on each side. I noticed the left side bump was way larger than the other side. And the left side would often give me sharp random pains now and then. I asked many doctor's what could be here causing this? No one could really answer my question with confidence.
My daughter has a significant amount of bumps under her skin on her head and down her jaw. When you run your knuckle on them they move. When they are big or there are a lot of them she gets a really bad headache. Her Chiari surgeon does not have anyone else with them so I am asking if any of you do. He thinks they may be blood vessels. She had surgery in Oct 09 and has been feeling much better but the "head poppies" as we call them seem to be getting worse.
A little less than two weeks ago, (possibly due to some sexual action), the nipple on my left breast suddenly started feeling very sore and hurting to the slightest touch, the area around the nipple became red and swollen for about a week and I felt a hard lump under the skin just under the nipple. I was worried it might be breast infection, but it has gone back to normal by now.
The latest symptom is that under my right arm it aches (no visible lumps). Can you tell me what it is and what procedures I need to have done to 'fix' it.
He's seen a hematologist since who said that I should be concerned if any lumps came up under the jaw and along the top of the collar bones. I'd take him to see the DR as he might need antibiotics to help his body fight any infection.
Its a hard pea-sized bump under my skin, and can be pushed around a bit. I was thinking it was a cyst, but is it normal for it to develop within 8 hours? I normally have a bit of vaginal discharge, but it seems to have increased the past few days. Any ideas for what it might be? I don't think it is an STD because i havent seen my boyfriend since the summer... so haven't had sex since then ( he has been my only partner).
But if I turn to the left and feel the right side, the bump is much bigger and easier to feel. The bump is hard, non-moveable, and it doesn't hurt at all. The only other symptom I've had is that I feel itchy all over, mostly at night. I went to my doctor a few months ago to have some other swellings in my neck checked out. She was concerned and sent me for a CT scan. The results said that there were some enlarged lymph nodes in my neck, but none were big enough to be looked at further.
I have the charlie horses in various places around my body, legs, feet, hands, under the ribs, under the breasts, etc. The pain can be excruciating. It can literally bend me over, make me cry, and scream out in pain. It happens in the shower, walking, using the bathroom, sitting in a chair, sleeping, etc. There is no particular time that this occurs. I can be doing nothing at all but laying on the sofa watching TV. If I get them in my legs, I have to walk them out.
