Hard lump in hand

Common Questions and Answers about Hard lump in hand

lump

I'm a 23 year old male, and I've been in training for the Army since October, and about a month or two ago I noticed a hard lump forming in my left hand. It tracks the movement of my left index finger and sits about an inch below the knuckle when my fist is clenched and around the wrist when my fingers are extended. I've been hearing that it could be anything from a cyst to a tumor, I was wondering if anyone here had anymore information to add that may be helpful.
Several hours later, a hard lump appeared with bruising and swelling on top of hand behind knuckle of index finger. After applying ice, two days later swelling and bruising is fading but still have pea sized hard lump on top of hand that hurts when pressed? This discussion is related to Hard Lump on top of hand.
On the left hand gum i have a hard white lump i cannot move it and it only hurts if i really press on it, it feels like and looks like a tooth has started to come through the side under the other tooth but i am terrified that its oral cancer
On my right hand, just above my wrist there's a hard lump in my hand. Everyone says it's cos i'm so skinny & that my bones show but no one else has it there and my mum says she doesnt think that it's a bone. What could this be??
Hi, I recently noticed a small lump in my scrotum on the left hand side. It is about 3mm in diameter not on the testicle itself, but above it, in amongst the mass of tubes where the enter the body, to the left of and behind of the base of the penis. It seems to be part of one of the tubes there and is hard like cartilage. I cannot locate a similar lump on the right hand side so I presume it should not be there. Do you have any ideas what this could be and should I go to see the GP?
So I checked my armpits since the rash was in that area also and noticed this hard lump under my right armpit. Didnt think to much of it at first since I used to always get painful lumps in that area in the past from the old deodorant i used to use and from sweating from alot of activity. But this lump was PAINLESS. The day of me noticing it, it was MARBLE SIZE! Now, almost a month and a half later, its still there but alot smaller.
Hard painful lum noted on top left hand below wrist and in line with index and middle finger. Very painful when bumped and with flexion. Pain with burning, throbbing to wrist, hand, and fingers as well. Same bump on right hand but not painful at present. Bump is firm and feels like bone. Any thoughts what it could be?
Hi, About a month ago a hard lump came up on my thumb (right hand). I can't remember injuring it or anything, it just seemed to pop up over night. There was some pain (minor) when it initially came up and it's been very slightly uncomfortable since. I think it may have grown a little bit but not much and it's moving fine. Can you suggest what this could be?
It doesn't hurt,it swells up and gets hard and then it gets small and soft?I took him in for an ultrasound and the dr just called and wants to do an mri,has anyone been through this before?Im freakin out and just hoping for the best.He is 9 yrs old!!!
It did not bleed, so I squeezed it - hard. All I got was a small drop. This was on the side of the hand, about an inch from the wrist, where the muscle controlling the little finger starts to bulge. About 6 weeks later, I pushed the hand against a hard surface and it felt like it was pinched with a pair of pliers. When I looked at it, a small bump was forming there. The bump continued to grow, and became very tender, to the point I could not push open a door with the side of my hand.
2 weeks after i started breastfeeding i felt pain on my left breast and 3-4 days after pain started i felt a pretty large lump in the same area. I was checked by the Ob/gyn a few days later and he suggested massages and warm compresses for 2 -3 days thinking of trapped milk. After doing the appropriate massaging, it did not seem to improve. It also became hard. He ordered an ultrasound.
The swelling and bruising went down fairly quickly however now I have noticed a small lump to the side of the knuckle in between my index finger and middle finger, it doesn't hurt when I move my hand but hurts when I press on the lump.
i looked where it hurt and there is a hard bump/lump behind her ear on the bone part (not on the ear itself). i touched it and it hurts. it's about as big as an eraser on top of a pencil or a pea. it is not red or anything (skin color). i get very worried about these kind of things and will give her dr. a call but in the mean time i was wondering if anyone has any suggestions as to what it may be? like i said, i am worried.
about 2 months ago i started getting a pain in my hand and a few hours later realized i had a small hard lump under my skin on my left hand below my pinky finger. i told my dad about it and he said he gets them all the time and they go away.., ive had it since than and it hasnt changed. it doesnt hurt anymore but i can still feel it under the skin. i was just wondering if it was anything i should worry about or see a doctor about ?
Ok, I've had a lump of some sort in my scrotom for several months now. It feels mushy and also feels as if it's connected to my testicle. I thought that it could be a possible hernia but I would like to know if it could be a possible type of cancer. Please help me.
I also feel sharp aches in what I imagine are my lymph nodes in my legs and this weekend I was laying on the couch and felt the back of my right leg, and felt small hard lumps-maybe lymph nodes? Also the lump in my armpit has either moved down in position or multiplied I cannot tell-but it is much easier to feel versus before. Anyway I went to the doctor who ordered several tests. The first being a mammogram.

I have a hard lump on the outside of my teeth on the right hand side of my mouth between the teeth and the gum. There is no pain. Should I go to the dentist. I had my teeth checked a few months ago and it was not there then.
I have the same thing a large hard lump on my right lower rib cage in the back. It has been there for some time and I noticed it larger than it used to be. I don't have any other symptoms so im not sure if I should worry.
I have the EXACT same thing wrong with me and I found it by going to rest my chin on my hand one day. Same thing it seems hard almost like a bone malformation tender when I am messing with it and does swell little from time to time. I just noticed this a month ago... I am going to do some more research and go have it looked at when I get health insurance from my new job. I am the same though.. healthy, fit and active 28 year old female.
What I can suggest is that you ask for X-ray of the hand or a CT scan or ultrasound to find out whether the lump is in the soft tissues or in the bone or joint. If the lump is in soft tissues it could be a scar tissue or a ganglion cyst or a localized collection of fat. If it is from bone, then probably the alignment has not worked. Since a confirmed diagnosis cannot be given on net please consult your doctor regarding this. Hope this helps. Take care!
About 2 months ago i noticed a hard, non moveable, visible, pea-sized lump, under the skin in the middle of my left forearm. I noticed it one night after lifting more weight than usual at the gym. i've been to the university M.D. where i attend college and he sorta brushed me off saying it was nothing, but if I was concerned he would just "cut it out." yikes! It is tender sometimes, and doesn't appear to be getting any bigger.
