Is it safe to recolor your hair with ammonia and peroxide free, a day after coloring also with ammonia and peroxide free dye?

My daughter is a stylist and does my hair and she could notice the thinning but no one at work seemed to notice. She uses only professional products which contained ammonia and peroxide and my hair didn't fall out any faster or become dry and brittle. In my opinion, having my hair done proffesionally kept my hair healthy because we colored only the roots and didn't overlap the color and expose already colored hair to the chemicals.

You can dye your hair as long as the dye is ammonia free, and I would also wait until you are officially out of the 1st trimester. The dye doesn't get into your blood stream so it's fine, just make sure you get ammonia free. I wondered this too so I did a lot of research, I just haven't gotten around to actually dying my hair yet.

I have used any hair dye with ammonia before with my first pregnancy. My baby is healthy with nno problems. I don't think there's any problem, very very few chemicals is absorbed by your scalp, and it's just the strong smell. Keep well ventilated.

But they recommend you not to because your inhailing the ammonia when the dye is sitting in your hair. Ive had friends that dyed their hair while they were pregnant and had perfectly healthy babies but I just wouldnt do it still.

Use hair dye that has no ammonia. And even with no ammonia try not to breathe the fumes, trying putting something over mouth and nose. But I dyed mine at 19 weeks but I used no ammonia. And I went darker cuz I had tri colored hair.

Use ammonia free dye. There is less of a color selection but it's worth the extra precaution. Never ever ever bleach your hair while pregnant though.

The fumes won't hurt you either. I dye my hair, but I don't use ammonia dyes (they're worse for your hair anyway). If you do use ammonia based dyes the ammonia can make you feel sick because it's such a strong smell. I work in chicken houses, and there is a strong ammonia smell sometimes and my doctor said it's fine as long as the smell doesn't make me sick.

Technically you can dye it now. The less ammonia and such the better and in a VERY well ventilated place. Its never 100% safe.
