Well, it was kind of a "gun" that they shoot with a needle attached; I do not know what it is called exactly, but it really shoots the needle into you.
I work in occupational safety and health field. There was a question about firing practice at gun ranges during pregnancy last week. I posted some recommendations to prevent lead exposure to pregnant mom's and fetus.
Based on an article in Seattle Times, October 19, 2014 "Loaded With Lead" I personally will no longer be visiting a firing range during pregnancy, and hope other pregnant mom's will do the same.
Children in general are more susceptible to lead posioning.

A seven-year-old boy was shot to death when his father’s handgun went off in the parking lot of a western Pennsylvania gun store. The boy, Craig Loughrey, was settling into his safety seat in the back of his father’s car when the gun accidentally went off and pierced his chest, reports the Associated Press. Just the concept of “gun grabbing” makes me laugh. After all, Congress couldn’t even muster the votes needed in 2013 to pass universal background checks for gun purchasers and that had the support of 90 percent of Americans.

I was gonna say something along the lines of an alarm system that will automatically contact police when someone tries to enter the home.. jeez you guys are violent lol jk. But I wouldn't want a gun in the house with children, locked up or not they could get to it eventually and that freaks me out. A bat wouldnt be a bad idea though.
I have researched and see that some pediatricians recommend Melatonin to help with sleeplessness in children with certain neurological disorders. That is fine and well, but I do not agree with giving my child a medication that I don't see he needs and his pediatrician has not ordered.
So here's my question: is it unsafe for a child to *intermittently* take Melatonin? There are many drugs out there that are not OK to 'start and stop'. Is Melatonin one of them?
