Avatar m tn But Im afraid to take it because one of the side effects I read was anxiety. I dont want to have more anxiety. Im also afraid to take it because Im afraid I might be allergic to it. Since last november I went to the emergency because I was allergic to nyquil so since then Im afraid to take any medication. So what do you think, should I take it?
677061 tn?1226275988 When it comes to side effects which is more benign as far as cardiac function concerns?
Avatar n tn At first you have to take a lot of it, 1000 mg. Once the condition is modified you can cut back to 500 mg. There are no side effects. The alternative is guaifenesin, which you can buy over-the-counter. Mucinex contains guaifenesin, but I would get the plain guaifenesin. It works very well.
Avatar n tn ve taken it as a cough medicine in the past and at prescription dosages it can have side effects of concern in higher dosages.
Avatar n tn I have been prescribed Acebutolol for PVC's and I am literally exhausted since beginning this medication but I didn't see that as one of the side effects. Also, my vision is blurred. Is this normal?
Avatar f tn You should ask your pharmacist about effects but you can read them on the sheet they provide with the prescription - every drug has side effects - if you read the side effects of Motrin you might not take it but millions do every week or so and have no problem so you have to weigh the odds of those effects happening, which the pharmacist will go over with you. The manufacturer of the med will have the effects listed on its website.
Avatar n tn Vitamin B5 also thins mucus. He would have to take 500 mg a day. No side effects. Then there are anti-inflammatories, among them Vitamin C. Of course, stopping smoking would help the most, but you have had no success in that area. Maybe once he gets more comfortable at reducing the coughing he will think about quitting.
Avatar n tn I can find no drug with the name "restyl." Do you perhaps mean "RESTORIL," which is a sedative-hypnotic in the benzodiazepine, (antianxiety) class of meds? There is also the possibility you meant "RESYL." a trade name for guaifenesin, which is an expectorant. If you've been taking RESYL for a cough for the past 6 MONTHS, you need to see your doctor inmediately. The med probably won't hurt you, but a cough lasting 6 months needs looking into.
Avatar f tn I know how low these are but I have never been able to tolerate any meds at higher doses without massive side effects. I did do pretty well on Wellbutrin xl and could do 300mg but I can't afford it anymore and the generic doesn't work.
Avatar f tn I have been taking zoloft for 10 days now and I feel really anxious and nervous, I feel shortness of breath can anyone tell me if these are side effects and if they will go away. 4916735 tn?1360986597 I know of no problems with interactions. I have been hypo for 28 years. Always ask your pharmacist once you have made your choice and that will be your best double check system. Musinex behind the pharmacy counter has 1200 mg of guaifenesin. This is what my doctor always prescribed me until it became Maximum Strength over the counter/behind the counter to get that strength.
Avatar f tn Like... they said at 10mg there are very few side-effects and at 20mg there are noticeable side-effects. But, you obviously don't want to change the dose on your own, as this can be extremely dangerous! But, it would be worth talking to your doctor about if the side-effects don't go away fast enough. Although... most of the time... with SSRIs in general I find, it can take 2 to 4 weeks for side-effects to go away and then they're gone for good.
Avatar n tn I tried it for a day or two but I could not tolerate the side effects, so stopped. I have had to wait 2 weeks to get an appointment with my Dr. I will see him tomorrow. Meanwhile I now have an ever increasing heart rate and other symptoms mentioned in your website. How do I explain all this to my Dr?
1174869 tn?1441311668 I'm 17 years old, being treated for moderate-severe major depression- I've recently been taking 20mg of citalopram everyday for the past 2 days as the doctor prescribed.
Avatar f tn Give it about a 7-10 days for the side effects to wear off. If you experience more side effects, especially life threatning, you will need to seek medical attention asap. Remember, always read about a medication prior to taking it or ask your physician and/or the pharmacy about the medication.
1286779 tn?1400012806 There is an expert forum here at Med Help for pharmacy information. You might try that one and see if the pharmacist can give you more details on the side effects of all your mom's meds. It may be a combination of the lyrica and cymbalta causing the trouble rather than only one of them. Best of luck to you and your mom. I know it's not easy to watch her in pain and now having more trouble from her meds.
1821676 tn?1317251820 I agree with kendy, get checked out first. Clomid is not the best choice anyway, lots of side effects including documented birth defects.
Avatar m tn Facial rashes, night sweats and the closing of my throat. That is when I stopped using Bactrim. All other side effects are gone except for the closing of my throat that comes on and off, especially when I'm done eating. It's been going on for 2 weeks (since my last bactrim dose). It doesn't make my breathing or eating any difficult but is just very annoying. It stopped for 2 days and happened one late night, 2-3 hours after drinking alcohol.
Avatar f tn I know some people have said there are no side effects from Cortef and that it's probably my dose is too low, but I now have at least 10 of the side effects listed on the prescription information website. These also all start within minutes of taking a dose (I'm currently taking 25mg). I get headaches, become extremely thirsty, heart pounding, very dizzy and weak, feel like I'm going to pass out.
Avatar m tn consulted doctor they they there is no medicine to revers the absorbed minoxidil into the body and the only suggestion to drink lot of water. now its almost from 4.5 months not using the product but still the side effects persist. blood test also done everything normal. could you please suggest to over come this.
Avatar f tn These help greatly and thee are no side effects. As to diet, be very careful about sweets and too much starch. These cause a proliferation of Candida albicans. Candida worsens asthma and allergies. I almost forgot. If you can find chewable bromelain, use that. Very, very helpful.
