If you are taking some form of Synthroid or replacement hormone for your hypothyroidism, you can take anything. I know of no problems with interactions. I have been hypo for 28 years. Always ask your pharmacist once you have made your choice and that will be your best double check system. Musinex behind the pharmacy counter has 1200 mg of guaifenesin. This is what my doctor always prescribed me until it became Maximum Strength over the counter/behind the counter to get that strength.

Hello, Without examination,it is very difficult to confirm a diagnosis, but it can be due to heat rash(Golfer’s vasculitis),contact dermatitis, rashes due to friction rub, sweat dermatitis, fungal infections ,hives or atopic dermatitis(eczema). Oral antihistaminics like benadryl or claritin, oral steroids and topical application of steroids(mild steroid cream like dermacort) and calamine are the mainstay of treatment.Benadryl and claritin are available over the counter .
I took over the counter generic mucinex with only active ingredient guafenesin in Oct. and got my BFP in Nov. So, I can't say it helped but who knows. I did notice more CM throughout my cycle and not really being dry like I'm used to. LOL I hope this helps. I have heard people talk about pre-seed and EPO too. Doesn't hurt to try stuff. Good luck...
If your doctor says not to use Sudafed during the first 3 months, you may use diphenhydramine (die-fen-HI-dra-meen), like Benadryl. Take 1 to 2 Benadryl tablets (25mg to 50mg), every 6 hours as needed. Use Benadryl with caution. It may make you drowsy. For a sore throat, gargle with warm salt water or mouthwash. Suck on cough drops or throat lozenges.
He suggested I take a combination of Guaifenesin, Pseudoephedrine and Benadryl, especially before bedtime. The smothering went away. But, I still can't seem to ever clear the mucus off of my broncials. When it is productive, it is only a piece of phelgm about the size of a BB. The phelgm is usually very rigid and has a greenish yellow color. I have taken Zithromax and Omni-Cef more than once during this period, but still produce the same phelgm.

I can't take pseudoephedrine because of my blood pressure, and my doc told me to stop taking Benadryl because it dried out my sinuses too much and that can cause infections. But since the ENT said this might be allergies I took a Benadryl last night and I swear it made me feel better. Between that and the humidifier in the bedroom I'm already starting to improve. It's kind of irritating that it took 3 doctors to even suggest allergies but better late than never I guess.
Hello, Five weeks ago I was having a horrible cough and bought some cough syrap (Dextromethorphan HBr, Phenylephrine HCl) and mucus relief (Guaifenesin). About 4 to 5 days later I experienced a horrible rash (I have pictures if you would like to see) that would come up in the morning and stay for 2-3 hours and then go away. And the same thing would happen later in the afternoon, but not as extensive as in the mornings.
lol, see how that worked for me. (I actually was taking Benadryl at the time and that **** dries you out)...
CURRENT PROBLEM While the new dog was at the vet, our other three dogs developed the same upper resp. symptoms. We started them all on antibiotics and guaifenesin/dexamethorphan. The vet said that the antibiotics are in case of secondary bacterial infection. The 77-lb dog also gets Rimadyl for a sprained elbow, which coincidentally occurred at the same time as the upper resp. symptoms.
I also gave them the veterinarian dose of benadryl today (1 mg per pound) to little effect, so that lack of reaction seems diagnostic in itself. With both dogs hacking and sneezing snot everywhere, and DH adding his allergies and asthma to the chorus, I can hardly hear myself think. Maybe the vet can give DH a shot when he's through with the dogs tomorrow?
Have you tried benadryl or sudafed? Sounds like a fluid problem. Sorry to hear of your suffering. Were you exposed to a possible allergen that you still are suffering from, like mold or dust...did you recently move?
I can sympathize with you all. I myself just recently started experiencing dizziness associated with allergies. I turned 40 this year, and I have suffered from seasonal allergies for about ten years now, but it has never been accompanied with dizziness. I reside in NY and we have been having lots of rain lately, and for the past two weeks I have been experiencing dizziness.
I feel like I'm doped up on Benadryl all day-sooooo tired!!! Hope this will pass!! Also getting some pressure behind my right eye. Almost feels like a bad muscle twitch, yet no twitch, just feels like it wants to lead up to a twitch. Does that make sense? I dont know myself b/c this med is making me not make any sense at all in a lot of stuff I say. Which really sucks because I talk to customers all day long in person and on the phone and they are beginning to look at me strangely.
