I am on Cardizem CD(360mg/day) to prevent afib(no high blood pressure problem). For 2 years I have had a problem with one inner ear not draining properly due to colds/sinus stopping up the eustacion(sp?) tube. What cold/sinus medicines can I safely take that might clear this problem? Ear doctor has tried guaifenesin(1200mg/12hrs)and Nasonex spray but these have not worked. The only thing that works is putting a vent tube in eardrum- I've had 3 of these. Help!
Do not use this medicine if you have untreated or uncontrolled diseases such as glaucoma, asthma or COPD, high blood pressure, heart disease, coronary artery disease, or overactive thyroid. Avoid drinking alcohol. It may increase your risk of liver damage while taking acetaminophen and can increase certain side effects of chlorpheniramine.

My resting heart rate is generally 84 bpm, and has been for years. Blood pressure is usually 120/70 or 60. It's been 120/50 and 120/80 a few times, but some of those times I was ill. I have PTS (post traumatic stress disorder), bipolar, and tend to suffer from panic attacks. I've had a history of: Hayfever, chronic bronchitis, chronic sinus infection, ear infection, and fluid in the lungs (usually from some sort of bacterial infection).
I recently had a physical exam my cholesterol is 131, HDL 47, LDL 73, Triglycerides 94, VLDL 19, blood pressure 69 over 120. When I was young I road my bicycle 30+ mile every day. -What supplements or vitamins, if any, do you take? If you take a D vitamin, is it D2 or D3? -Have you been diagnosed with high blood pressure? -Have you been prescribed a cholesterol medication? -How many medications are you on? (if any) -Do you have natural teeth or dentures that you chew your food with? -Do you have at least one bowel movement a day? -Is your congestion nasal only or upper airway as well? You can send your answers to me via private message if you like.
fasiculations (twitching) 6 months ago after my daughter was born. I twitched up till a week ago. Turns out my blood pressure was VERY HIGH and was causing a lot of the twitching. The BP is under control now, and I`m not twitching near as much. Some of the nerve problems are a little better also. You guys may wanna check your blood pressure just to be safe!
Within a couple of days he developed severe yellow/green nasal discharge and was coughing up yellow/green phlem tinged with blood. The vet added another antibiotic. A couple of days later, he was having greater difficulty breathing, he stopped eating, and one eye would only open halfway. I took him back to the vet where he was held in isolation. When the vet checked on him the next morning, he began coughing up copious amounts of blood and immediately died.
Dont drink caffeine,,smoking slows down the blood flow to our body, thus causing more pain) so noo smoking,,,,red meat is a natural inflammatory so although "fibro" has nothing to do with inflammation, getting inflammation from another source would cause more pain to the "fibro" sufferer,,,,try not to stress yourself out beyond the stress you already may have from having "fibro" emotional issues can make "fibro" pain and such other syptoms worsen if
Three weeks ago my mom had the sphincterotomy and a stent placed. The manometry showed high pressures, the duct was dilated and even "angulated." The stent was suppose to straighten the duct. She has had no relief. In fact, possibly even worse pain. Is surgery our next option? Perhaps a longer stent? We'll see. I'll post again soon. You know there's a support group for everything in the world, EXCEPT SOD. (Just to add to the nightmare of this condition.
UH what my blood pressure was sky high, I felt like a truck ran me over and backed up and did it again. Okay, after years of aches, pains, chronic fatigue, swollen joints, NIGHT JOLTS, sweating, numbness in the hands and feet, cold so cold fingers and feet, I had been told Lupus, well this latest development was not related to Lupus, I saw the Rhemotolgist, NEG FOR graves, lyme, ANA test neg one of the lupus tests was a little off, but nothing of lupus in the brain.

34 years old - overweight (285) Ultrasound - normal Blood work - normal CT scan - only indication is slightly enlarged spleen Have been on Cipro for one week Have taken flagyl for three days - just stopped because of side effects maybe from flagyl (headace, chills, stomach spasms). Pain is not diminishing. I'm thinking the gall bladder. My doc is looking at diverticulitus, but my pain is in upper right quadrant, not the usual place for this. I know he's going to try barium enema next.
The stress exacerbates the problem. I feel worse on rainy days when the pressure system is high. I did find a couple of interesting articles that the rest of you may want to consider: http://www.nlm.nih.gov/medlineplus/ency/article/001420.htm http://www.nlm.nih.gov/medlineplus/ency/article/001054.htm http://www.nlm.nih.gov/medlineplus/ency/article/000702.
I'm currently 2 DPO and already counting my calendar for when I can PIAC (love $ store tests)! I had my dr's appt today on account of my high blood pressure. She has put me on a diruretic (sp?), so I guess I can expect to pee ALOT and won't have any idea if it's 'cause I'm pg or not (most noticable symptom last time). I went to the pharmacy to get my Rx filled.
while draining like that does happen - even if you don't have any infection (that would be clear fluid) ...being that it is colored...concerns me. If you are SURE there is no blood in the drainage - that is a good thing because a small amount of blood would possibly mean spinal/brain stem fluid...I would just go to the doctor and make sure you don't have the start of an infection going on...
One morning I even coughed up some blood, but it only happened once. Lots of burning in my sinuses and chest, as well as stomach - which nobody has been able to explain. I find that drinking lots and lots of water can sometimes help, have you tried this? It tends to settle down the nausea or burning a bit.
this and lots of water will help. a decongestant will also help, but you have to watch out for your blood pressure cus this can raise it. If you are producing excessive mucous then you must be allergic to something, allergy testing is a must, not just the skin test either. I went through the gammut of shots until they found out what the problem was. Chronic Rhinitis, thick mucous is a sympton of this, and this only gets thicker as you get older.
