Green discharge during puppy birth

Common Questions and Answers about Green discharge during puppy birth

discharge

For the past 2 days I have had a lot of clear/whiteish discharge, that is very runny (not a yeast infrction). Sorry to be so graphic, but I am hoping this could be cervical fluid from the implanation or some sign that I could be pregnant. Does anyone have any information on this that could help? Has anyone who is/was pregnant had similar symptoms? Thanks!!
* Lochia (vaginal discharge) should be reddish to reddish-brown (green is okay on first day). If you see black discharge, contact your vet immediately! * Within 5-6 hours of last puppy's birth, take ***** and puppies to vet for check up. The vet will ensure that the ***** hasn't retained any puppies or placentas and that the puppies are in good health.
If this was immediately after birth and even for some days afterwards (when a dark-ish discharge, sometimes greenish is often noticed) -then it would be quite normal. However this does not sound normal during pregnancy. A green discharge could signify that something is not right. Possibly there is an infection. I am sorry, but I think it would be wise to take her to the vet. Is there any possible way you could beg or borrow the money to do that?
Just make sure they are all nursing and she is cleaning them as they need that stimulation to potty. Since you were AWOL during the birth, check the umbilical cords to make sure they are not too short, no bleeding, etc. they will dry up and fall off in a few days. Did you see any placentas or did she consume them? It is important that a placenta was expelled after each pup and nothing was retained which would cause a serious infection.
Seeing some dark green stuff after a puppy is born is usually no concern. Seeing a green discharge before a puppy is born can indicate a detached placenta and a call to the Vet. I have only had this happen once and had two still born pups out of 4. If/when she decides to whelp these puppies, her contractions will gradually get stronger. If an hour has passed and no puppy, call the Vet. Then, there was the time I had one pop 3 out in a row!
Fibroids may cause a generalized discomfort or the urge to urinate or have a bowel movement as the uterus is forced against the bladder or rectum during intercourse. they may also cause intense cramping pain during orgasm that may last for several hours after intercourse has ended...." it continues on but google only has a preview of page 308 and doesn't continue to 309.

Also, since this morning he is having unusual smelly penile discharge, but he is still urinating fine. Has anyone experienced this? Is this a something to worry about? Also, I really do not like the effects of phenobarb and am talking to my vet about Zonasimide or possibly Felbamate. Does anyone have experience with these?
I know you think you will work yourself into hysterics, but they will take good care of you before, during and after the operation. I need to have surgery but have been afraid so I am preaching to the choir when I tell you "don't worry." I really need to take my own advice. I don't know if you believe, but put your faith and trust in God and he will take that fear away. Just pray about it, it honestly does help.
-( Some other symptoms were occasional pain during baby dancing, especially when it would go too deep (TMI), irregular periods, and periods that always last 7 or 8 days. After you have pain for so long it just becomes "normal" and I just didn't even think of it anymore. The RE said I had quite a bit, but I'll find out all the details at my follow up appointment on Saturday. luvkaylyn ~ good luck and don't forget to at least check back once in a while...
Scripps- Ya know, when I was pregnant with Kayln, I worked up until 3 days before giving birth to her! And I feel GREAT with this pregnancy so far! The only reason I would quit working is if I had to, but if it keeps going like this, I'll just work right up until I have her too! :) I may cut my hours back some in a few months. Sean really wants me to, but like I said, we'll see how I feel! :) So how far along are you considered now? I always get confused with the timing on dpo with ivf!
My husband and I have been married almost 4 years, and we've never used any type of birth control. When I told my doctor this, she was shocked to learn that I've never been pregnant. So they checked and said I have PCOS. I'm believing for a miracle though. They said it shouldn't stop me from getting pregnant, but it'll just be harder to get pregnant. I'm just as frustrated as you are.
My second I felt cramps and I started to have a pinkish discharge around day 4. The discharge lasted for a few days and then on day 9 I had a brown discharge along with cramps. The night before my blood test I got my period. So it's hard to compare what your feeling, cause it's all so different. Try not to stress.
How funny is it that we don't know each other at all and I feel like I'm congratulating a wonderful friend! It's soooo nice to have people to talk to during these crazy times! WOW--I can't believe it! I have been thinking about taking a home test monday night to also "mentally" prepare myself but the Dr.'s say there is such a big chance of a False Negative. So I'm thinking ifI can hold out, I will. PLEASE keep us posted of your progress.
I had my Mirena removed last week (8th May) after a year as we are trying for our 1st baby. During that year I had no periods but v light brown discharge on 20th March for a few days and 19th April for a few days. I presume these were periods? After having it removed I thought I would be due on around 18th but instead I started getting the same kind of light brown discharge I'd had before on Saturday night (10th May) Does it sound like I could have a 23 day cycle? is it a period?
My doctor tells me that cramping during the LP is merely the corpus luteum developing and it may cause cramping.
here i go....so for the last 6 months i have had itchy eyelids...my eye doctor told me it was due to mild allergies and prescribed eye drops which didnt help in the least so i turned to over the counter allergy medicine which hasn't helped either (so i dont think it's allergies) and in the last 3 weeks not only are my eyelids itchy but when i wake up in the morning my upper eye lids are bright red and swelled up so bad that its embarassing!!!!
Interested to also hear who is doing accupuncture and or any other herbal treadments during IVF? I have been recommended by a couple of my girlfriends who were successful on IVF attempt 1 to have an "adjustment" done by a chiropractor......im a bit of dubious that it can actually reallly do anything.....
protien also helps i guess. should quit coffee soon. and should switch to green tea. mock transfer on friday also blood work for complete blood picture.
This time around, spotting for most of the time, so I didn't think I was on my period, because we had been bd alot during the week before hand and during 3 days of the spotting. Until I saw a little bit more, and I was like ok, she is back! But not really full blown like it normally comes. I have been having hot flashes like crazy, well now in my office I have a fan on me really all the time. But I had to buy a new bra cause these bad girls are on a different world that I am on right now.
It is still very hard and green (but the research I did says it's ok to be green and I think I have the variety that stays mostly green). Also, what are the best ways to eat it? I've only ever had mango prepared already or frozen and added to a smoothie. But I do like mango flavored things and the mangos ive eaten in the past are yummy so im looking forward to my first fresh mango!
I was just wondering if anyone could tell me when I should start to having pregnancy symptoms after iui. I am 6 days post iui and yesterday I started feeling naused. It woke me up during the night and I still feel the same today. I don't know if I have a bug or if is maybe a sign. I also took 10,000 units of HCG trigger shot but it has been 8 days since I had shot so I don't know if that could be it. Please HELP!!!
I thought it was all gone then I wiped more and noticed a clear eggwhite discharge. Where and why does old blood come from? I know that's a silly question but I've never heard anyone talk much about it before... Any replies welcomed... SBBD.
It always make me laugh how there is so much more activity on here during the week when everyone is at work! On a weekday we would have had a hundred posts by now!
