6542587 tn?1382274108 Green discharge from any area means INFECTION! When caught early, eye infections are easy to treat....If left too long without treatment, it will spread to both eyes and can create more serious problems down the road....Even just scratching the inflamed eyes can lead to other eye ailments..... Please get her into your Vet tomorrow and have this treated.......DO NOT use any OTC products on her eyes...She MUST have prescription ones from your Vet...Good luck and let us know how she is....
Avatar f tn The eye drops did not help and now she is 80% blind. Still the green discharge in her eyes. She’s always had a ravenous bottomless pit appetite and has always been a big drinker but still maintains her svelte 10 lb figure. Prob drinks 4 bowls of water a day and pees and poops ALOT. Now her fur is falling out on her back and sides and her legs are almost bald. She doesn’t seem to be in pain but sleeps a lot (which she always has even brefore this).
Avatar m tn green discharge is usually a sign of infection and the odor is also. You've had this dog this long with this problem and haven't has it checked? I strongly suggest you take it in to the Vet for a complete check up. This will probably need a course of antibiotics.
Avatar n tn However, several weeks ago I developed a bad sinus infection and along with it I started to have green/yellow discharge coming out of my right eye, which has since spread to both. I was given a strong dose of antibiotics for the sinus infection along with eye drops to combat the eye infection. Unfortunately, the drops and antibiotics has not stopped the discharge from my eye(s). I have seen an eye doctor and he said I don't have an eye infection.
Avatar m tn I was hoping to upload a photo so you could get a better idea.My dogs symptoms are brown sticky drainage from left eye that gets crusty. I was told by Vet to use overnight Dry Eye lubricant. The discharge has never been green or yellow so I don't think there is a secondary infection. Right eye is perfect. Dog is blinking from damaged eye. I'm thinking his condition is due to residual affects from his horner's and he has not completely returned to normal.
953069 tn?1246366068 I was out on a vacation for a week and I left my dog in the care of a family friend. When I returned home, I noticed that my dog is having a discharge from his eye - milky white discharge and his eye was reddish so I went ahead and clean his eye out with a warm wet cloth and then I came home a day later to find him having a greenish discharge (light greenish) from his eye and his other eye is starting to have a discharge as well so I went ahead and clean both of his eyes with wet cloth.
Avatar f tn I have had a few episodes of seeing green upon awakening. Everything is green for a few minutes, then goes back to normal! This last time was just the left eye. I don't have diabetes or high blood pressure. Any ideas out there?
Avatar f tn He has been having a yellowish green eye bugers coming out of his left eye. It is also pretty red. The eye bugers are more often than a normal eye. I am wondering what I should do. We think he might have allergies and on occasion we give him a benadril. He is a hunting dog so he is in the water often and in brush. I am unsure if the eye could be scratched or somthing is just caught in there. But i can not see anything by looking.
554253 tn?1215353049 Hi my name is Amanda, and Febuary the 10th I adopted a 3 or 4 yr old border collie. From the second day I had him I noticed that he had horrible green nasty discharge coming out of his nose. He sneezed very hard constantly and blood and pus would go flying. Aslo every time he drank water it would either come out of his nose or the would aspirate on it. His lymph nodes on his neck were huge!
Avatar f tn just keep an eye out for infection, swelling, redness, fever, green discharge. Use triple antibiotic and call the doc.
Avatar n tn ve noticed since I got my dog from the humane society that some days his eyes are more red than others, specifically his left eye and almost every morning he has discharge coming from both eyes. I recently took him to the vet for this problem and he was diagnosed with follicular hyperplasia which is apparently where something gets caught under his third eye lid, irritates it and then nodules/small bumps grow underneath causing redness/discharge/discomfort.
Avatar m tn The tear duct pain seems to be gone. But the yellowish discharge is still with me and my eye was glued shut again this morning. Also the discharge seems to persist during the day and I frequently find my eye-lashes are coated in the gunk. I plan to try to make an appointment with my Opthalmologist when their office opens on Monday morning. However, given my long history of eye problems, I am curious what this may be. And the best course of treatment until I can get in to the doctors.

Avatar n tn If the eye has green discharge, you can use antibiotics (Polysporin eye drops or so). If the eye is itchy and swollen, could be allergy to something. Also check for foreign bodies under the upper eyelid.

Avatar f tn While bloody discharge is never normal, colored discharge might mean amongst many noncancerous conditions- pregnancy, duct ectasias, fibrocystic disease(especially if there is lump), and Galactorrhea(relating to medicines and hormones). So many of the conditions as you well can see are not serious, yet it is required that you consult your doc right away and get an ultrasound and mammogram, as required. Best wishes.
Avatar m tn redness is gone and discharge crystallized then went away for awhile. The discharge is back. white, yellow or green in color. when it is white in color you will see it go across eye to inner corner. eyes r watery and itchy. There is no redness or swelling. No other health problems. Just the eyes. What is it and how do i get rid of it?
Avatar n tn My dog is pregnant and just started leaking green stuff out of her vagina is this normal? This is her first litter and I have no clue what to do I am worried sick about my dog and can't afford a vet please help.
Avatar f tn Maybe a yeast infection? I had green discharge as well and it didnt start hurting and itching till about a week or two later so I had no idea they were related but that is one of the signs of one. It could just be nothing though too. Just keep an eye on it. Good luck!
Avatar n tn My dog is going through the same thing. She is 11. My vet said same thing but said I could try douching her first. WOW, where do I begin.
612551 tn?1450022175 Right the reference I gave shows how a dog's eye sight interprets color as compared to human, in the human visible light spectrum. We have, just like our TVs and Cameras, three primary color sensors, Green, Blue and Red (or their complements) and dogs only two: Yellow and Blue. While I found the reference less clear on acuity and brightness (I couldn't see any difference to the brightness for human compared to dogs.

1006035 tn?1485575897 I brought him to the vet and they said it was definitely pink eye and gave him some eye ointment. I find it so odd to put ointment in an eye...he doesn't seem to care though. Do you think he'll have allergies like this every year? He is a 2 year old labradoodle.
