ve developed a couple of hard swollen bumps behind my right ear (lymph nodes?), and I was wondering if lymph nodes swell w/ GD. I have no signs of ear, throat or any other infection. My scalp doesn't itch or have any sores.
The bumps behind the ear are new...noticed by my wife this week, and I've not shown them to my PCP or endo dr yet, and was just wondering if swollen nodes in this area were common w/ GD.

There is definite inflammation. I can hear it in my neck, a spewing, liquidy sound, especially when I move my head around. I also get a skin colored lightly itchy rash in behind the right ear along the base of the skull.
This whole syndrome started 5 years ago after a cold.
t see how that explains the pain in my abdomen, the swollen lymph nodes, the night sweats, and the itching. And why is this hearing loss so sudden? I hate going to the doctor because I'm treated like I'm some sort of moron for being concerned about these issues. I'm not taken seriously. And I feel like and idiot for even asking. Should I be concerned or worried. Or should I just write all this off as my being over reactive to normal bodily functions?
When my Graves was severe, I developed a large goiter on the front of my neck. basically in my case, it was the swelling of lymph nodes around my thyriod and it did get so swollen so quickly that it was hard to bed my head to look down, and sometimes made it hard to eat. With medication we were able to reduce the size and then altogether it seemed to disappear.
After getting rabies shots and two rounds of amoxicillin, I noticed the development of white discharge from my throat and sore swollen lymph nodes. This is the one in my left armpit, on the arm I was bit, and one in my neck on the opposite side of my body. These nodes hurt every once in a while and I think the one in my neck is somewhat swollen. Do you think this could be due to the cat bite? Wouldn't it have resolved after my rounds of antibiotics and time?
I saw and endocrinologist 1 month ago and at the time he noticed a swollen lymph node and ordered more tests. He thought I had Hasimotos. Labs came back and all the thyroid atb were normal. In the last 3 weeks My thyroid and lymph gland have gone nuts!!! Both side of my neck have large palpibale/rubbery bumps and hard swollen lymph nodes all over my neck "and one that I can feel on R side of abdomen below rib cage.
Can this disease cause swollen lymph nodes on both sides of the neck? I have 5 on the left side and 2 on the right side of the neck for over 5 months now.
They dont hurt and cant see them with the naked eye but i can feel them and so did the doctor.
So can gravies disease cause that much palpable lymph nodes?
Has he been checked for mono? Usually lymph nodes swell in a localized area..With crohn's unless he has problems in his throat from it, I wouldn't think it very likely. I know this because my doctor told me that my digestive problems probably aren't related to my own swollen, neck lymph nodes that I have had for over 6 months. Lymph nodes would swell closer to the inflamed area, which would be in the abdomen usually. Some times lymph nodes swell for no apparent reason..
My thyroid is huge! I have swollen lymph nodes, and my voice has been off and on again. I work in a office and my voice was so hoarse I could hardly answer phones. (it comes and goes) Well, I went to my GP, who is an internal specialist, and noticed my thryroid without even making me tip my head back. He says my lymph nodes were swollen, immediately ordered TSH and T4 blood tests. I will be set up for an ultrasound after these results come back.
I had been going to the doctor for about a year with stomach problems and every time my lymph nodes were very swollen. I was preparing to have surgery and decided to get a second opinion. I am glad I did because I found that I don't have Barrett's esophagus, which is awesome, but I do have gastroparesis. So my new doctor wanted to do a CT Scan with Iodine. During it he saw that all of my lymph nodes are extremely swollen. I now have no idea what to do.
Are you sure these are all lymph nodes? I had calcifications in my breast and they weren't lymph nodes. Now, I did have those removed during a biopsy as they are one of the signs that worry doctors about cancer. What kind of doctor have you seen?
