I have double vision and blurred vision at times, I don't know why. I have epilepsy (absence and grand mal seizures) but this doesn't seem like a absence seizure as I am still aware when it is happening. I can only see clearly when I close one eye... Help and advice please.

my 16 yr old son who suffers from autism cerebral palsey ocd servere to profound hearing loss and epilepsy has suffered 3 seizures in 2 weeks, 1 tonic seizure may 2, 1 grand mal may 7 and 1 grand mal may 17. he is now taking 1000mg depakote. his depakote level is 105 (he weighs 98 lbs) since his last seizure on may 17 he now cries for hours before he falls asleep, and wakes during the night crying. i think his meds r affecting him. can u please give me an idea to help him?

In her late teenage years she had absent seizures about once every 1 to 2 months. Then in 2007 she had a grand mal seizure due to some of the scar tissue had broken off or moved.. The Dr started her on 300 mg of trileptal. Then Aug 2008 she had another grand mal seizure. So, they up the meds to 900 mg. Her absent seizures went completely away. Eight months ago I suffered a Grand Mal Seizure. It was my first one and I have no family history of seizures. I find that I am now dealing with memory loss. I am frustrated because my memory was pretty sharp prior to the seizure. My doctor never really said that I'd experience this and I was wondering if anyone else is dealing with this as well. We went to the ER and were told it was a "febrile" seizure (his temp was 102.4). They administered Motrin and Tylenol and he started feeling better. Hi everyone. My father, 5 years ago after coming out of a coma, developed a brain bleed. It's caused him to have Grand Mal seizures. He's taking a drug to control it right now, and so far he hasn't had a seizure in almost 3 years. The drug he's on is weakened by alcohol ( if that's correct ) which when he drinks causes the medication to weaken and causing him to have a seizure.

4 yrs later, aug 2012 my husband had 4 grand mal seizures right in a row one evening and was rushed to local hospital. blood tests and ct scan were done and he was released. notified his neuro and he recommended increasing his anti convulsants, his level was too low...upon doing that, my husband had many more seizures of all types over a period of a month. he was admitted to hosp to do further testing but nothng showed.

I had my first Grand-mal in July. I am 49 yrs old and thought I had never had seizures before, but now suspect that I may have had them all my life. My mom would tell me to get out of my "dream world" or to "pay attention." What would cause my blood alcohol level to be .17 when I don't drink at all. This was after a Grand-mal. Also, I have had periods of "lost time" unconsciousness up to 2-3 hours without knowing what happened. Does anybody know, or can help me?
