599170 tn?1300973893 I tell you what, they don't make them like they used to. Nobody can replace Elvis, the King of Rock. He had the most beautiful voice. It's so sad how he went downhill towards the end. I try to just remember him from his good days.
Avatar m tn I deeply encourage people, even those not into rock to listen to this. Simply go to Youtube.com and search the songs I named and even watch the videos. It helps me so much and like this site, lets me know that theyre are others going through the same thing. I MEAN IT!!! Check em out, you'll be impressed. If you really like the music than search "Behind the Pain" which is a documentary in 4 parts, which you can view all, that talk about his struggle with drugs.
Avatar f tn Music moves the soul... and can get baby grooving while still in the womb, too! I thought it'd be fun to see what everyone listens to and list their favorite bands and songs. I'm always looking for more bands and music in the genres I like to listen to and it's always fun to see who listens to what because sometimes it can be surprising (like most people assume I like pop by looking at me but I actually rock out to alternative Christian music).
1156346 tn?1294166094 Another good Kid Rock song is "only God knows why" "It's not my time" by 3 doors down is a good one too. I crank this when I have a craving and as sara said "rise above this" is a great tune, one of my favourites.
Avatar f tn There is NO way I can narrow this down to one choice!!! LOL I have a very wide range of music that I love listening to-from heavy rock like Panterra, disco-Blondie, and classical Mozart. I'm not a huge fan of country music-I will admit to liking a few songs, like Carrie Underwood's-Before He Cheats (title????).
884770 tn?1244472251 see its working. I knew it. Songs do help! and posting them here will only help those of us who want to hear music as a way to pass time, and think. It does help. Im on day 2, ready for 3 and music actually helps me a tad.
908392 tn?1316522899 I love this question. *songs that fuel anger... well, I find Rap music to be very annoying. *songs that make me happy... the earlier Beatles songs, prior to the Rubber Soul album. *songs for self esteem... I can't think of any songs that have that effect. *song that makes me sad... "Without You" by Harry Nilsson and quite a few songs by the 70s rock group, Bread... many of their songs (i.e.

454863 tn?1208306979 I don't have this happen really where music "sets me off" so to speak but I only experience anxiety in terms of mood issues and no depression or mania according to the hospital when I was there a few weeks ago.

4540912 tn?1379630447 Mostly country love songs unless my husband is around he listens to hip hop and some rock
298824 tn?1349955177 ABC Jackson 5 came out when i was 14 and you feel old ~~~~~~~LOL
674607 tn?1240017232 More along my lines. I like to listen to something depressing such as anything by Nick Drake or Syd Barrett and work those feelings out. Then having gotten over them I move on. I tend to listen to cheerier music when I am hypomanic. Its only recently after recovery from psychosis that I am aware of it but the music I listen to matches the affect I am in. As for Pink Floyd I know as a kid growing up, that half of the kids when they felt angry at the world listened to "The Wall".
Avatar f tn rather than blaring my heavy metal and annoying my guests, I chose to stream some upbeat rock songs from my phone to a bluetooth speaker. that just played in the background and was more than sufficient to add good mood to the atmosphere.
5312547 tn?1367094865 Jean, I rocked myself to sleep from age 6 or so until age 12. I lay on my left side, and struck a pillow with my right hand each time I rocked. I couldn't sleep well without my rocking routine. I did eventually outgrow it. At about 7 or 8 I started singing songs as I rocked. Songs I'd learned in school, Beatles songs, etc. I don't think I rocked as hard as your boy does, but rocking helped me burn off excess energy, and I developed a good singing voice over the years.
Avatar n tn aww thats so cute i wish my baby liked a certain song lol
Avatar m tn Yes I would remember if I heard the songs. My brain was pretty fried up back then. Yep those were the glory years of nothing but fun, and low responsibility. Drugs, sex, and rock and roll . Almost killed me, and still paying for those mistakes today. Cream--Sunshine of Your Love. Traffic --Low Spark of High Heeled Boys. Iron Butterfly In A Godda Divida. ( spelling ) What about the long version of Layla. Those were some of my favorites.
