Would you consider using powder formula for trips out of the house? i fount it easy to take the water premeasured and then the powder pre measured in a separate small container and when i needed it i mixed and shook it up.... i also fed my daughter room temp from early on and found it really easy to have ready... When i had breast milk to take alone tho i put it in a lunch kit bag with an ice pack...

What formula have you ladies used? Was there any problems or concerns with any of them? I'm not using it yet but just want to decide what kind to try/have on hand first when I do switch. Any information is appreciated, I'm out of my element here!

Is it possible for a baby to be allergic to the powder formula but not to the liquid kind? Every time I try to supplement with the powder Naomi throws it all up but if I use the liquid then she keeps it down. Is it possible that she is allergic to the powder? Is that even possible. Anyway, I use the Enfamil with Lipil formula. I bought a huge can of the powder that I use for home. I would buy a can of powder formula and make your own. It takes only moments and is much more cost effective. You can also make them ahead of time. They start on the can that they are good for a full 24 hours. If you go out and about use the little freezer packs and carry bag that will come in your going home hosp gift bag and pop a pre-made bottle in there to go with you.

usually ready to feed has more fats in it, which WILL lead to more spitting up, the concentrate (where you have to mix with water) is better but still has those fats in it... but the powder formula since it IS powder does not have the same form of fats in it, and therefore is suppose to help with spitting up. with my older son he was on Similac concentrate at first, and then when he was spitting up so much they had me try the powder BEFORE they would change brands and the powder did the trick..

with my daycare kids, the ones that have been on soy formula seem to do just fine. i have noticed however, that all of them have ended up getting thrush! I don't know if this is a side effect of just an odd coincidence!

All you do is shake and pop on a nipple as opposed to gettin your formula out, dumping it in bottle, shaking, all while holding a screaming baby.
