Avatar n tn Hi. Did they ever check for yeast infection? Most likely yes. If you eat a diet high in sugar can sometimes cause imbalance of good vs bad bacteria. One great product that has helped many women with itchiness of the vagina is taking probiotocs daily.many doctors nowadays prescribe or recommend woman take probiotics after taking antibiotics in order to balance things out again. I even inserted a few probitics into my vagina to help get rid of yeast infection. Plus I take it everyday.
11765409 tn?1420944089 If you do find that you get yeast infections a lot, do get your doctor to arrange for you to have a glucose test done. People with glucose intolerance (pre diabetes) and people with diabetes are prone to getting yeast infections. Do bear in mind too, that being on a course of antibiotics can also bring on yeast infections.

Avatar m tn I am 20 week and I been having frequent (3 yeast) infection the doc prescribe a yest infection pill and said if i have another yeast infection she will have to test to see if i have an std. With the yest infection everything cleared up but the strong odor. my question is: if it was trichomoniasis would the yest infecton pill have ANY affect on the symptoms that trichomoniasis have. Everything is gone but the bad smell. It is not as bad but it is still there.
2003871 tn?1336168469 If you have reoccurring yeast infections that can be a sign of diabetes, however yeast infections can easily occur without diabetes. So, get tested for glucose blood levels but you might want to talk to your dr about other causes.
Avatar f tn To: Dr. Santos Hello. I've been having this problem (frequent urination) pretty good for about 1 year now. I feel tired a lot and I have a outer itching on my vaginal area around my monthly cycle time but I don't have a yeast infection because I've been tested for this many times. I take 20 mg of Lexapro daily and on other medicine. About one year ago, I had a glucose test done at my annual pelvic exam visit, and my sugar was higher than usual but not diabetic.
Avatar m tn Hi Iris~I am not too familiar with the vegetarian form of B12, I have always been under the impression that B12 is best when it is derived from sources such as liver. The one non-meat form of B12 that I DO know of and I take myself, is in the form of "Brewers yeast" Brewers Yeast has ALL the B vitamins in it, not to mention the amino acids, and the Glucose Tolerance Factor mineral, Chromium. I love how it tastes, I put it on my cottage cheese and I just love it.
Avatar m tn There is a connection between diabetes and reoccurring yeast infections, if you continue with this please ask your doctor to do a fasting glucose test. I hope this helps. Please keep me posted.
Avatar f tn I have a Dr. Appointment Thursday. This Dr. Appt is to get yearly exams and talk with the doctor. I've been having a vaginal discharge for years now, and it seems i'm always diagnosed with yeast infections, and I have painful urination more than normal and with that i'm normally diagnosed with UTI. Avatar n tn I have been going mad trying to get rid of a yeast infection that has persisted over a week now. 3 treatments and yet the itching and a rash on my thighs have persisted and I won't heal. My std' work up came up normal this afternoon- although I am awaiting results of HIV bloodwork. In conjunction with the yeast infection I have experienced such fatigue like never before. My lower back has stabbing pain and I am thirsty with a dry mouth.
490398 tn?1319940717 When my blood was tested I had eaten a bagel and olive oil spread, plus Vitamin water that day, today when I tested I had the same food Plus chicken noodle soup about two hours prior. I am on hyperthyroid treatment at the moment and am definitely overweight by 30 lbs. So with all of that info I guess I'm just curious...is 239 a horrible number to be at if you haven't been fasting and have eaten what I ate today?
Avatar n tn Dear Newly diagnosed diabetic, I too for years had symptoms, excessive thirst, excessive urination, multiple yeast infections, blurred vision, glucose tolerance test were all negative, blood sugar tests were within normal limits. I thought I was very lucky not to be a diabetic, but what was causing all these symptoms?
Avatar m tn Looking at the slides, he said that it does appear to be yeast but not a common strain. Normally the yeast has a couple of arms but the yeast I have has many and is similar to a bunch of grapes. My body does not see it as foreign and is not attacking it. The next step is for my Dr. to make an appointment with a microbiologist that specializes in yeast. My Dr. will show the slides and hopefully they can identify the strain in order to determine the drug to eliminate it.

519035 tn?1348275773 The fatigue, gastrointestinal problems, and cravings for sweets are *definitely* a sign of die-off. Have you been checking your blood glucose? Sometimes yeast can be an indicator of sugar issues and they tend to go hand-in-hand with thyroid problems. Yes, drink lots of water! Try some yogurt too with active cultures - there are quite a few now that will help increase the good flora in your GI tract. Stay away from carbs for a while too.
Avatar f tn Has anyone else used garlic for yeast infections? I found it as a natural home remedy as well as yogurt and I have no doctor till Monday. Any advice for me?
