Glucose oxidase reagent

Common Questions and Answers about Glucose oxidase reagent

glucose

Avatar f tn Thanks for that advice. I'll be seeing my GP asap to get the ball rolling on those tests. I hadn't really considered it might be diabetes. I've been using urinalysis reagent strips, and they don't show any glucose. They often show ketones and leukocytes though. The highest I've caught my blood sugar is 8mmol/L - from what I've read on diabetes websites that shouldn't be high enough to cause diabetic ketacidosis? First thing in the morning it's between 5 and 5.
Avatar m tn These sticks are a good indicator, but they will only detect glucose in the urine if there is above a certain level (fairly high) of glucose in the urine. An HbA1c blood test shows average blood glucose levels over a sustained period (about a 3 month period). Rather than a normal blood test that would only show the sugar levels at the time you gave your blood for testing.
1399363 tn?1462342610 Histamine occurs naturally in certain foods and an enzyme called diamine oxidase, which is present in our body breaks down the histamine which we absorb from food. Deficiency of this enzyme can cause histamine intolerance. Among the naturally occurring fruits and vegetables some can be rich in histamines and some promote the release of histamine from mast cells. So, with consumption of food the reactions can vary.
Avatar m tn The HIV test that we send to CDC uses the reagent with 3rd generation. The reagent used by CDC lab is manufactured by Biomeriux Co.ltd. Please could anyone talk about the quality and reliability of the test mentioned above ? What is third gen reagent ? is it a duo test ? I am confused ?
1756321 tn?1547095325 Further questions would be whether only the new reagent is being used by a given lab. Or do they still use some of the old reagent that might be left over? If using both, that would further exacerbate (I have been looking for a place to use that word for years) the variability in results and accordingly the reference range. I really can't understand how a reagent supplier can get away with something like that anyway.
Avatar m tn In addition to these tests, I also suggest that you get you fasting and post prandial glucose levels ( to be taken 2 hours post meal) and blood pressure checked if they haven't been tested yet. Please get back to me with the results so that we can get down to narrowing the cause of the problem. Avatar n tn After the first week the lab told us that there was a nationwide shortage of the necessary reagent and it would take an extra week for results. After two weeks they told us that they had the reagent and the sample, and we would have results in a week. After the third week they told us we didn't make it into the previous batch and it would take a further week.
Avatar m tn thanks for your help, 8 weeks ago i was in a hiv clinic to be sure about the performance of some rapid test kits. i gave some rapid tests to a nurse and she wanted to test a known hiv positive patient. the stupid nurse asked me to assist her in testing that patient. so i applied the lancet gun on patient's finger and the nurse dropped some of her blood into the device while i held the device without any gloves on.
1139187 tn?1355706647 the current lot of ft4 reagent available from the manufacturer produces results that are approximately 9% higher than previous reagant lots. Please interpret these results accordingly. What does that mean?

Avatar m tn thanks teak, but please suppose the tip of testing reagent tube had contacted the hiv positive blood in rapid test device, and consider that i used the same testing reagent (with the same container) 45 days after that day and the reagent touched my bloody punctured finger,,,again you say i don't need hiv test, am i right?
Avatar m tn Does any component contain HIV protein which may induce seroconversion? With other words, if the reagent has contact with mucosa or goes to the blood, may it convert the subject to HIV positive?
Avatar n tn The test strips that I use are 10LG Parameter Urine Reagent Strips which can be bought on line at a reasonable price. These strips detect Leukocytes, Nitrite, Urobilinogen, Protein, pH, Blood, Specific Gravity, Ketone, Bilirubin, Glucose. You can get strips that detect less. The one that would be of interest if someone is suffering from dehydration is the Specific Gravity reading.
Avatar m tn What is HerpeSelect and I test twice ,but I don't know which reagent they use. and my test result has both IGM and IGG. I heard some people said that the HerpeSelect test is the best reagent to test herpes. and it don't have IGM on the laboratory sheet. they said it will only have IGG result on it, and any laboratory sheet with a IGM result of herpes is meaningless.
Avatar f tn WOW!!!! You have struck a chord. I just found this forum for hep c patients on studies because I started one 5 weeks ago. However, I have always felt in my heart of hearts that it could be AIH. Reading what you posted back in April about edema (which I have...terribly) and I also got radiation twice for my overactive thyroid, I got a horrible case of Graves Disease. Then I was told I had HEP C!!! Has anyone ever heard if someone gets diagnosed as hep C and it is really Autoimmune Disease????
Avatar n tn 1) Do my symptoms suggest herpes or any other STD? Should I re-test for any STD? 2) The medications I took would have excluded STDs caused by bacteria? 3) Is the reagent HSV IgG test indicative of a recent herpes infection? Thank you very much.
Avatar f tn Does anybody get irritating itching around ankles, arms and elbows. All of sudden I get very itching on all mentioned areas, then it subsides. Hard to fall asleep, I didn't tell anyone but my immediate family. I am lucky that I can go work like nothing so I am glad I didn't tell any friends or co workers. I just don't feel like sharing and avoided all kinds of stupid questions and then getting riled up.
Avatar f tn Manufacturer recalled current lot of ANA reagent. Quantitative autoantibody results to follow when reagent is received Hep2 Immunofluorescent slide result: No fluorescence seen. No fluorescence seen indicates a titer < 1:80 or the analyte does not produce a discernible fluorescent pattern. Titers: Titers start at 1:80 and continue to 1:1280. Pattern: Homogenous, speckled, centromere and nucleolar.
Avatar f tn The notation regarding the reagent means that the result is 9% higher than previous batches of reagent had shown. Therefore, if I calculated it correctly, previous reagents would have come up with a result of 0.91 vs 1.0. There is some question as to whether those not on thyroid med need levels as high as those of us dependent on med, but since you have so many symptoms, I'd say your levels are not nearly high enough for you.
Avatar m tn My wife is pregnant for 8 months and the last test was reagent (igg igm 3.50 and 3.70) but the two weeks ago were 0.5 and 0.4? these tests were made in different laboratories. and throughout this year was around 0.5 booth.
